Valley Red Cabin
Enjoyed the sauna, kids love the bunk bed. The mattress wasn’t the most comfortable for me. The place is not fancy but was private, nice porch, fire pit and adequate kitchen. Worked for what we needed.

Stunning Bark Point Home on Superior's South Shore
I have stayed at Scott & Debbie’s place several times. It is the most peaceful serene place. The art work is incredible the home a work of art in itself. The mere fact that I can bring my dog 🐕 makes me very happy.

Escape to a Northwoods Cabin with private island!
A truly magical escape! From the moment we stepped into this cabin, it felt like walking into a storybook. Every corner was full of love, thoughtfulness, and hidden treasures. It was like staying in a living museum—so many charming details to take in, quirky pieces to admire, and cozy nooks to explore. There was something new to appreciate each day. Our kids were absolutely enchanted! They spent hours playing with the games, LEGOs, army men, and other little gems tucked around the cabin. Their imaginations ran wild—and so did their energy (thankfully!). The surrounding nature was the perfect playground: long nature walks, climbing trees, watching birds and critters—it was nonstop adventure from sunrise to sunset. And after all that fun? The beds were like clouds. So comfortable, we all slept like logs every night. We are so grateful to have found this slice of magic and can’t wait to return. It’s more than a stay—it’s an experience you’ll carry with you long after you leave.

White Pine Cottage
Very much enjoyed our weekend at Cara’s and would stay again! Great layout that felt very airy and spacious, easy to find and get in, and felt right at home. Beautiful backyard and private area - great for walking the dogs and also had easy access to a grocery store, coffee shops, and dinner spots. Perfect distance for visiting friends and family in Duluth while exploring of the more local area too. 45 minute drive was a great buffer 🤣. Everything was accessible and easy to use. Really appreciated the late check out too. Thank you!

Lake Front North Shore Suite with a Superior View
This was an amazing stay! Beautiful location right on the lake, a fantastic fire pit with everything we needed, a grill, fully-stocked kitchen…it was comfortable, clean, so beautiful, and had all we could need or want! It was a perfect mom & daughters getaway location while we hiked around the North Shore and spent time together at the house.

Hermantown Gem close to everything.
This is either our 2nd or third time staying at Greg's place and it is perfect for us. Located in a very peaceful area and near much of what Duluth has to offer us. Greg was always quick to respond to any questions we had and a super host. We would definitely book there again!!

Spectacular Log Home on Majestic Lake Superior
We just stayed for a week (this was our second family trip to this place) and our family loves it. Amazing views of the lake and shore, feels very private, and an overall cozy/comfortable place for a get-away. The main floor is quite creaky when you walk on it, which can be loud if someone is up later or earlier than others, but that’s the only “negative” about this place. It’s not that bad, but worth mentioning. Everything else is excellent though. And the location is hard to beat. I would highly recommend a family trip here.

Becks Bungalow
We absolutely loved Beck's Bungalow! It was a great house with plenty of space, clean bathrooms and a big kitchen. We loved sitting on the patio overlooking the valley and watching the trains pass by. The noise of the trains did not bother us at all, but we did bring a fan for the bedroom at night. We appreciated being right on the trail system, which connects to the Superior Hiking Trail. It was easy to drive into downtown Duluth, see the sights and return to a peaceful home after dinner. We will definitely stay at Beck's Bungalow again in the future!

A Private Log Cabin on the Lake!
Damian was a responsive and hospitable host. The cabin is gorgeous, the view was great, and the sauna was hot! Highly recommend and hope to be back soon!

Loved my stay! Quiet, comfortable, and very beautiful interior and decor. Plenty of recommendations for stuff to do, good coffee, and clear instruction. I would certainly stay here again.

Berrywood Acres Cabin
Totally enjoyed our stay, will definitely stay again when traveling in the area again. It is a perfect little cottage, loved the peace and quiet and sitting on the porch with a view of the lake. Our hosts, Nancy and John were great!

Luxurious house for nature-lovers by Hartley Park
This was a wonderful house in a great neighborhood. Beth and her managers were very welcoming and helpful. They even provided us with breakfast items to get us started. We would definitely stay here again.

The Treasure House- Near Duluth & Pet Friendly!
The home was ideal for our stay in Superior. It was very welcoming and clean and was conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts did a great job communicating before, during and after our stay. This will be our first choice for a place to stay on our next visit to the area.

Peaceful River Escape - A Perfect Getaway Spot
Our family of four had a most enjoyable and relaxing stay here. I have no hesitation in recommending this location and the kind hosts. It made for a great relaxing and peaceful retreat near the Duluth area. It was an easy drive to Duluth and the North Shore. We would definitely choose to return if there was an opportunity to do so. Ross

Nola’s Nest - North Coast Vintage House
Very nice place. Super spacious main floor. Right next to water. We went for walks on waterfront park each night. Bridge over the road is two blocks down. Also played board games each night. House is about 2 miles from main peninsula where the ship bridge is. Slept well although bed and pillows not my preference. Recommend this place for sure.

American Foursquare | Historic 4 Bedroom Home
house was great! the location was great! everything was as advertised!

Cedar Cove on Lake Superior
This cabin is a great family get away. 30 min drive from Duluth or Two Harbors, fun is never to far away. The home is a vacation in and of itself could spend a whole week just on the property.

Two Harbors Area Wild Grape Cottage
Amazing cabin for a very generous price in a pristine location. Absolutely nothing not to love about this place. The cabin feels well-loved and storied

Beautiful home or 2 apartments Duluth/Spirit Mtn
We loved this Air b&b, great location, plenty of space, would definitely come again!

Your guide to Duluth
All About Duluth
Some associate Duluth with a bygone era of locomotives, lighthouses, and small-but-mighty tugboats, but this quaint, authentic Minnesota town is much more than a journey into the past. The port city, located on the shores of Lake Superior, is the perfect place for those who choose to go a bit off the beaten path when it comes to their stays and vacations. Duluth has a long, fascinating history that is intertwined with the great railroads of the 19th century, and people interested in that once-indomitable industry will find plenty to see and investigate during their visit. Modern-day Duluth has plenty to offer to today’s traveler, with a wealth of secrets, hideouts, shops, and social gathering spots that are well worth seeking out.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Duluth
Wintertime in Minnesota and the American Midwest can be downright freezing. But don’t let that dissuade you from a late- or early-year visit: locals tend to wear their winter coats like badges of honor. Duluth turns it up a notch during the holiday season, as the Bentleyville Tour of Lights illuminates a dark winter’s evening. Outside of winter, spring is a frenzy of life and ice-thaw, and summer is a non-stop flurry of outdoor activity, maximum daylight, and minimum sleep. For those looking to rent a cabin in Duluth or take advantage of some vacation rentals, fall might be the finest season weather-wise.

Take a Train Ride on the North Shore Scenic Railroad
The great American railroad corporations of the 19th century play a significant role in Duluth’s history, and the North Shore Scenic Railroad serves as a time-traveling portal back into that bygone transportation era. Schedule a trip on a restored, vintage train through downtown Duluth, Canal Park, and Two Harbors and feel the history as you roll over every picturesque bridge and timber trestle.
Canal Park
Canal Park is the centerpiece of Duluth’s downtown revival, and it’s no wonder it has become such a popular gathering spot for locals and out-of-towners alike. Take in the park’s sculpture garden after you hit up one of the many charming coffee shops, then enjoy a late lunch or dinner at the surrounding bistros and eateries. You can peruse the pier and watch the ships come in, then head out to the jazz club for an awesome evening’s entertainment.
