Cottage vacation rentals in Stichtse Vecht

What an amazing place to stay it with kids, there was so much space around the lodge which all felt really safe to let them explore different activities. There was a quite a few groups there but it was never noisy or overcrowded. The lodges were really cool and different to what we stayed in previously, it did go a little cold one of the nights we were there but they were still comfortable and nice (you can rent heaters if needed). We would 100% come back in the future if we travel that way again. We went for a trip to Amsterdam which was easy to get to and Sprookjeswonderland which I would recommend too with children under 6/7

Jokelien and her partner were kind, thoughtful, and enjoyable hosts. The house is situated in a peaceful and beautiful place, they anticipated many things we didn't even know that we needed. The property was charming, clean, and wonderfully located. They had recommendations which made our visit smooth, comfortable and special. Highly recommended!

Our recent stay was for 4 nights, but we wished we had booked longer. The property was very clean, very modern and had parking that was safe and easy to find. after the long drive the hot tub was hot and lovely to relax in! We loved that the property was accommodating for animals and we immediately felt at home with the very friendly hosts. we would definitely stay again.

We loved Claudia’s place! It far exceeded all our expectations and was even nicer than the pictures suggest. An incredibly beautiful area so close to the waterfront from some gorgeous sunsets. 15 mins walk from the small village with an excellent small Spar supermarket and takeaway but very peaceful too. Also excellent cafes/restaurants a short cycle away and Claudia kindly let us use all her bikes. Impeccably clean, really comfortable beds. Brilliant hot tub and super fun area downstairs perfect for teens! It could not have been any better for our short stay in the amazing Netherlands. Wonderful!

The interaction and communication with Judy were very easy and friendly. The outdoor area with a fireplace and cozy seating was very inviting.

Wow! Nor and Mat’s cottage was the perfect escape. The most comfortable stay with picturesque views. The home was immaculate, and Nor and Mat have thought of everything—including toys and crafts for our 3 year old. Their communication and instructions were great, too. The location was wonderful too—a short drive to many restaurants and stores while still quiet and peaceful. We loved our time there!

Angelique is a super host, very responsive and on hand if you need anything answered or help with directions etc. I have not encountered a better air bnb host :-) The water cottage is peaceful and restful and has everything you need. For Amsterdam you must be either prepared to drive or happy to walk just over 1.3 miles into the town. Its a 45 min bus into Amsterdam which is pretty regular or you can drive 15 mins to a train station and make your way in from there. We had no problem with this at all but some might be put off. However the location and quiet peace by the water was super and worth it!

Everything was as described - we felt very comfortable. The dog had a designated area in the garden and could run around freely. The hosts were always available and responded immediately to inquiries. Would highly recommend!

Hi, We had a magical stay in the heart of nature in this charming cottage! As soon as we arrived, our host, Linda, welcomed us warmly. The host remained available throughout our stay to answer our questions. The cottage is as pictured, with neat decor, comfortable spaces and perfectly equipped. The location is close to all places of interest. I would recommend this cottage without hesitation for a relaxing and pleasant stay. We had a wonderful week here. We stayed here with 3 people. The house is in a very quiet location, is very nicely decorated. We didn't miss anything. We felt very comfortable here. We also found the personal welcome very pleasant. It is about a 10-minute walk to the center. You can go on great bike rides here or hike through the dunes. The beaches are fantastic. Frank is a very nice host. We can fully recommend this place and would be happy to come back.

It was a warm welcome. Rachel immediately made you feel welcome. A clear explanation of the cottage. The cottage is truly top notch! Superb location with an orchestra of the birds. Really nice! And not to forget Charlie. Highly recommended.

The accommodation is very picturesquely located on a farm in the middle of nature. The cottage is newly built and very tastefully decorated. We arrived by car and metro easily and quite quickly to the center of Amsterdam. Hetty answered every question immediately and we were able to rent bicycles from her very cheaply.

We spent two nights at Jurian's The fact that Jurian speaks French facilitated our exchanges. An intimate and charming place. A small outdoor terrace that's very nice when the weather is nice and that was our case. Really a nice place in the middle of a beautiful area. Our host Jurian is a friendly and discreet person. Thank you for everything. It's a place we'd gladly recommend.

Nice little house typical of the Netherlands. Very well equipped and decorated, comfortable. Small pleasant garden. Erik and his family live there year-round so it is made to live in and it shows :-) A private parking space in front of the house and two bikes available. Very convenient for visiting the area by car or taking the ferry or metro to go to Amsterdam. The neighborhood is very quiet as it is quite far from the center of Amsterdam. To get to Amsterdam, the nearest bus is a 10-minute walk away. In total, it takes 30 to 40 minutes to reach Centraal Station by bus then metro or bike/car then ferry. Great welcome, very clean... In short, it's a perfect rental if you're looking for a quiet place near Amsterdam.

There were so many things about Amber and Rennalt’s place that made this the perfect stay for our visit to this region in the Netherlands! All communication from the host was helpful and clear, and the videos they sent us with step-by-step directions to get from the airport to the apartment were brilliant! The bed is comfortable (and I am quite particular about having a comfy mattress); the apartment is tranquil, serene, and very clean; and the location is perfect for exploring either by bike, public transportation or rental car. We loved using the bikes they provided so we could cycle around the area, bike into town for a bite to eat or to grab groceries. We’ll miss our evening walks along the long, quiet canal just one short block from the apartment. We’d definitely stay here again!

Our stay was perfect. The cottage had everything and more that you would need when away from home. The cottage was extremely clean, comfortable and a 15 min walk from the free ferry service. Extra nice touches with chocolate and biscuits left for us on our arrival and food selection on tv when home at night. We would highly recommend.

My sister and I loved it. It was all the same as in the photos. Even better. Right on the water and you had your peace. The view was really heavenly and we were able to relax very well. I'd love to come back.

The house was really nice and Jenny was really helpful. There was a parking spot for the car and we were able to easily get in the house with Jenny’s instructions. Thanks again for the stay! I would definitely recommend this beautiful house.
