Cabin vacation rentals in South Savo

Harri's chalet is very well-equipped. We didn't miss a thing. As stated in the listing, towels, kitchen towels and sheets are not provided. So we planned this in our suitcases. The environment is very pleasant and quiet. Perfect views of the lake! We even had the chance to see a moose, a magical moment! A car is essential to access the stores. For example, Savonlinna is about 50 km away. The only negative point was the cleanliness on arrival, requiring cleaning before we settled in. Harri was very understanding on this subject. We still recommend it because we had a lovely stay.

If you're out for modern pampering, this is not for you.But if you want ti be alone by the lake, without a shower and regular toilet, but wit a row boat, wood fired sauna and hot tub, compost toilets (but also electricity, full kitchen, cellular coverage and tv) and most if all the amazing beauty around (incl. mosquitoes) memorable, then definitely go fir it. we had a wonderful time.

The house is in a lovely location, close to several lakes and surrounded by peaceful nature. Great spot if you're looking to relax or go for walks. The house itself was clean and had the basics we needed. Communication with the host was helpful when needed. Check-in was smooth, and instructions were clear. Good if you're looking for a quiet place close to nature.

It was a lovely place to relax. The Host are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is nearby, so you can rest your mind very well. But this also mean, that the nearest store is 30 minutes away with car. But wen you are organized, this is a great place to stay. My friends and I love it and hope, that we can stay the next time a little bit longer.

Place was excatly as listed, clear instructions, middle of nowhere, peace, nature, good for large groups.

This house is what you want for yourself. Kari has created a really beautiful place for himself and his family. Everything you needed was really there.

It is beautiful and restful place near lake. The house had everything you need for relaxing by the lake (boat, sauna, grill), it is well-equipped house. I totally recommend it.

Lovely cottage complex! Clean, beautiful, and functional. Comprehensive equipment and especially nice that children 1-3 years found so well stocked and things to do, including a sandbox with toys, puzzles, and toys. An enviable gorgeous wood sauna! The host was friendly and very reachable.

Everything was provided for us to have a chill weekend there. Nice bbq place and cozy living room. We enjoyed our stay there.

A little slice of heaven this one! Just THE perfect place to relax. The cabin has everything you need (and more!) and is presented beautifully. Sadly, we were only staying for one night but managed to pack in rowing the boat, a sauna & a sunset swim in the beautiful lake. Veera was a great host, responsive and friendly. Would recommend very highly!

We enjoyed the holiday there very much. In addition to pure relaxation, there were also plenty of activities that were offered to make the stay as unique as possible. The toboggan run, which is only a few minutes walk away from the house, was a super busy for small and large. With the snowmobile provided, we were able to explore the surroundings and drive through the snowy forests. We had a lot of fun! The highlight was also the ice bathing in the lake after the sauna as well as ice fishing. Many thanks to Arthur and his son for sawing up the hole in the frozen lake😁. Definitely worth an experience! We can only recommend this house from the whole family and assure you they will have a holiday like never before with enough fun and relaxation.

Good price and nice place.

The house was exactly what we were looking for: a cabin in the middle of the woods, in full contact with nature, perfect for admiring the lake area. We were right on a lake practically everything to ourselves, we also took a nice ride on the lake with the rowboat (there was also the engine but we didn't use it) and the sauna all to ourselves! Awesome!!! In the evening, eating outdoors in silence was wonderful. When we returned to the house we turned on the fireplace, beautiful. The children especially appreciated the darts and the pier on the lake. The house had all the comforts, even if the bathroom was external and organic: a hole with a bucket underneath, where you had to throw fertilizer between times, but it was all reported and it was also fun! The only problem was the cleanliness, because the house was not very clean, but so in the middle of the woods we could safely bear: we cleaned a little and adapted. In general, I highly recommend it!!

Beautiful lake landscape and good steam in the sauna. Good beds, blankets, and pillows. Highlight the dog-friendly features and supplies.

It's a great place for someone who needs their own peace from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A fairly modest, traditional basic cottage with an outdoor toilet and a wood sauna. Very good steam in the sauna! The fireplace in the living room also worked well. Price/quality ratio is good, hosts are friendly. Easy to come and go. Thank you! P.S. Finland's best hamburger restaurant is just a few kilometers away.

Amazing place and a beautifully designed cabin, after our stay we felt extremely relaxed. Serene nature, an almost private lake just in front of you, great sauna and all camping amenities that one can need are there and then some. Would definitely recommend anyone to go!

Eeva is a fantastic host! The check-in experience was very smooth—Eeva’s brother was already waiting for us at the cottage when we arrived. He explained everything in detail, and we paid the hot tub fee in cash (MobilePay and bank transfer were also available as options). On the first night, we noticed that one of the rooms had a broken radiator. We contacted Eeva, and not only did she apologize, but she also arrived at the cottage with a spare radiator within 30 minutes. The cottage itself is spacious and comfortably accommodates 14 people. Upon checkout, as we were leaving, one of our cars got stuck on the slope due to poor weather conditions. Eeva came to our aid and offered to have her brother bring his tractor to sand the road. Fortunately, we managed to get the car out without needing the sand, but Eeva went above and beyond to ensure we had the help we needed. Overall, it was a great experience with an amazing host. I would happily recommend others to visit.

We’ve stayed here the second time and can only highly recommend it. The location is perfect. Quiet, relaxing, and ideal for unwinding. Everything was clean and well organized. We’ll gladly come back again!

Mirva and Timo’s place was prefect for our open-air getaway from the bustling city. Heaps to do and well set up for families. Super peaceful and relaxing environment combined with very friendly and proactive hosts meant nothing was left wanting. We maximised use of the spa and sauna and outdoor activities. Thanks a bunch for a memorable stay ❤️

Very beautiful and secluded place with a good sauna and right by the lake. The cottage was just the right size for two and met all the needs.

Absolutely idyllic! The house is super contemporary in design making it a luxurious way to spend time on a Finnish lake. Unbelievably peaceful and beautiful surroundings with the best views. The forest is calming to be in and we swam everyday in the lake (June). I’d highly recommend hiring the kayaks as it allowed us to explore the lake in full. For architecture fans, it is 2 hrs drive from Alvar Aalto’s summer house and museum. Johan was the perfect host too - really responsive and provided a comprehensive guide to the house which was easy to follow.
