If you're looking for a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city to the peace of nature, this is just for you. Rent an inexpensive, modest, electrified, basic summer cottage (approx. 65 square meters) from Kangaslampi, Varkaus (the cottage is located on the south shore). Everything in the cottage is not exactly on top and in the best condition, but a basic clean cottage with everything you need. The cottage has a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, stove, gas grill. Basic dishes, television, radio, smoke detectors.

The cottages have an electric and wood sauna. A dock, rowboat and paddleboard at your disposal. Dishwashers, washing machines and an air heat pump to make summer heat easier. Creaking wooden floors, wood-heated fireplaces and sturdy log walls. In the over 100-year-old Pihlaja-aho cottage, you might think you've fallen into the middle of a scene from a Suomi-Film movie. So if you're looking for an old-fashioned rustic atmosphere, you've come to the right place. Pihlaja-aho's cabin is the only place in Finland where you can spend a unique alpaca holiday. The 1.3 ha of natural meadows of the croft are grazed by three nice alpaca boys, whose easy care you are responsible for independently and according to your own schedule.

Log cabin on the shore of Lake Saimaa

Hand-carved 100 sqm log cabin built in 1995 on the shores of Lake Saimaa. A peaceful environment just a few minutes' drive from the services of Varkaus city center. The place is well suited for a weekend of relaxation, as well as for a longer stay. Basic amenities and cooking utensils. In connection with the cottage, there is a very spacious wood-fired sauna. The hut in the yard and the barbecue shed are freely available. The cottage is suitable for year-round stays, but in the middle of winter it is worth bringing woolen socks with you :)

Peace and harmony at Pikkumökki-cottage

Pikkumökki-cottage is a cosy, traditional log cottage with a magnificent view over the lake Saimaa. The cottage has an open common area (livingroom and kitchenette) and a sleeping alcove. Sauna is in the same building with an own entrance. There is no shower, but you wash yourself with a refreshing lakewater. There is no watertoilet, but traditional dry eco toilet in a separate building. A big terrace and a grill for barbeque. There is a small bungalow next to the cottage, with beds for two.

Fairy tales on the forest lake

A typical Finnish cottage (55.8 sq.m) was built in 1972 and completely renovated in 2014, preserving the authentic atmosphere. The nearest shop or gas station is 25 kilometers away. We live behind the forest 200 meters from the cottage all year round. The location of the cottage is unique in that, on the one hand, you feel complete freedom and privacy, on the other hand, we are always around and ready to help and communicate if you wish. Our plot and garden are always open to our guests.

Summer cottage by a lake at Mäntyharju

Nice rebuilt log cottage by lake Siikanen. Cottage is electrified and equiped with cold drinking water and warm shower water system. Peaceful beach opening to direction south. Available a small boat and two SUP-boards. At the yard there is a gas grill and an equipment cottage for firewood and eco wc. Our own summer house is near by (at 150 meter distance) thus help and additional services are often easily found. English and German are spoken by the hosts Timo and Tuula.

Romantic shelter with a great view

A cozy cottage between pines and the lake just in 2 steps from Saimaa. It is quite small inside (30 square meters) with a big open terrace and a green lawn in front of it. There are a Loft bed for 2 people with a view, a small kitchen, fireplace, sauna on woods inside the cabin. It is great to start your day from early swimming and yoga/breakfast at the terrace listening to birds songs and finish your day with a glass of wine taking pictures of a stunning sunset.

Rock House, in the middle of nature, with lake views, Saimaa

The Rockhouse is hand-built from local wood. The cabin is a warm cabin equipped with amenities on a rock in the middle of nature and forest animals. The terrace overlooks about 4 km from the lake in the direction of the sunset. Separate landscape sauna and glazed atmospheric barbeque hut on the terrace. The cottage is perfect for a couple and very good for a small family. Big deck around the house. Part of the deck glazed. Your own well water is drinkable.

This beautiful lakeside log cabin is located 25 km north of Mikkeli. Built in 2014, it invites you to relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of Finnish nature. The cabin is stylishly decorated with high-quality natural materials and offers a modern open-plan kitchen, two bedrooms with separable double beds (160 × 200 cm), a loft with a king-size bed, a bathroom, sauna, separate toilet, and a terrace.
