This is a beautiful place located in the jungle of Uvita. If you are scared of bugs and animals this place is not for you. With a dope open architect design you will feel like you’re in nature!

Trip Dates: 5-30-25 / 6-8-25 Our stay at the Jungle Roost was amazing and enjoyed by all members of our family, (2 Adults & 2 Teenage Daughters, 15 & 17). Ismael provided awesome concierge service and went above and beyond to make our trip effortless and enjoyable. Communication was excellent from the time of booking until the day we headed home. Ismael helped arranged multiple services and activates/outings prior to our arrival, which was very helpful. Ismael was attentive and responsive to all needs and checked in regularly to ensure everything was satisfactory, and provided assistance whenever needed. I just want Ismael to know that we appreciated his professionalism and dedication to going the extra mile to ensure that we had a great experience during our vacation. Can't say enough about the Villa, beautiful surroundings, private, wildlife galore, we really enjoyed the privacy and the daily visits from the monkeys, birds and lizards and much more. Highly recommended the Roost.

Words cannot describe the beauty of both the house and the surroundings. We arrived after dark and when we looked outside in the morning we were met with the most unbelievable view. There were 8 of us and not once did we feel like we were in each other's way. The house is huge!! The daily maid service was absolutely a bonus that we weren't expecting,,, she gave us so much extra time to enjoy ourselves. The wildlife was so much fun. We didn't even want to leave the property because we were scared to miss something. Monkeys galore everyday,, a sloth and a toucan plus lots of others. We walked to so many amazing restaurants and bars. We took ubers to the beach because it would have been quite a long walk. 100 percent rent this place if you are ever considering Manuel Antonio,,, you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful home. One of the nicest I have stayed in. Pool is spectacular! The View is incredible. Staff is top notch. My recommendation for grocery would be BM in Dominical. Restaurants at the Marina in Quepos. And Restaurants in Ojchal. Please Note if you want to go to the Manual Antonio park you need to make online reservations. We found out the hard way and was not able to go see it plus it is also closed on Tuesdays. I would highly recommend this home.

Adriana was extremely helpful! From assisting with reservations to putting us in touch with local vendors - everything was perfect! The home is absolutely beautiful and very well kept. It was exactly as described. Adriana and her team was very proactive and responsive, regardless of the time. Would absolutely recommend staying in this home - already can’t wait to come back. For those not familiar with Costa Rica during the raining months, it is not unusual for the power to go out. This happened during our stay but Adriana and team were very attentive and despite being out of their control, made us as comfortable as possible.

This home is absolutely magical! Perched atop a mountain, it offers sweeping panoramic views of the ocean and the iconic Whale’s Tail beach—truly one of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen. Surrounded by treetops, we were treated to daily visits from howler monkeys, toucans, and other vibrant bird species, making the experience feel like a luxury treehouse retreat. The house itself is beautifully designed and fully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The negative edge pool is a showstopper—floating there while taking in the endless ocean view was unforgettable. What truly sets this property apart is the host. Incredibly helpful and attentive, he provided concierge-level service, arranging our transportation to and from the airport, a rental car delivered right to the house, and even a private chef who cooked us some amazing meals. We could not have asked for more a better experience.

This was by far one of the most well managed and cared for homes we have ever stayed at. In addition to meticulously cared for, the host was so responsive and proactive. She absolutely made our time in Costa Rica more enjoyable by recommending chefs, places to eat, activities to enjoy and more. Marjorie even saved us from ourselves by giving us realistic driving times from one activity we thought we would squeeze in on the way from the airport. If she hadn't advised us otherwise, we would have added several hours of driving to our trip only to arrive at the activity after hours. The house is new and modern. The pool was amazing for adults and kids alike, monkeys visited us frequently and the yoga pad was an unexpected nice place to start our mornings. The location of the house was excellent too. It is a short drive to the grocery store, yet feels removed from everything. There is a gorgeous ocean view from the pool, kitchen/dining/living room and four of the bedrooms. A perfect place!

The stay was great. We had an incident the first night with power going out for 2 hours and then flickering on and off. Lots of bugs come inside the house if you leave doors open. Second night, we maintain doors closed and we were ok. The resort also has a strange environmental initiative that limits the use of air conditioning during the day, which in my opinion is inappropriate and should be made optional to the guests and not mandatory. We did request to remove the restriction and the host complied. The house is incredible and definitely an arquitectural masterpiece. Worth the experience.

This place is a paradise. Off the beaten track in the supremely beautiful surrounding forested hills. The accommodation accentuates the tranquillity of the surroundings, with everything thoughtfully designed. Spotless and very comfortable, we had a very happy stay here. Matt and Megan were very helpful and welcoming. You can tell that they love the place and have made beautiful accommodations and gardens. We also loved the pool and pool area, again very nicely furnished. We saw Toucans, humming birds, frogs and Crested Guans. It was so peaceful. There was one other family staying in the nearby stand alone villa next door during part of our stay and there was plenty of space and privacy to share the gardens and pool. There is plenty to do in the local area like Nauyaca Waterfalls and Dominical is close by. We were tempted to bring our robust 2x4 car but we were glad we listened to the advice to have a 4x4 as the driveway needs it. All in all great value and a real highlight. Thank you!

We had a great time at Tango Romero. The home is beautifully decorated, clean, and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable. We saw monkeys almost daily from the patio. There were plenty of walkable restaurants, grocery stores, and shops nearby. We were there during rainy season. It was mostly sunny until around 1:00 - 2:00 and then it rained. We walked to the surrounding restaurants for dinner. It would be helpful if there were some umbrellas available. It was great having a concierge service available to arrange our activities. We loved the water rappelling, white water rafting, and guided tour of Manuel Antonio National Park. The guides for all 3 activities were awesome.

Villa Temenos is simply fantastic! We had the most wonderful stay. Truly so peaceful and beautiful, with toucans and macaws stopping by in the trees outside to say hello. Henry, the caretaker, is the friendliest and kindest person around. It was truly the best trip to relax & unwind within nature. The location to town is great and super easy to run in and out for groceries or to grab a bite to eat. The outdoor living space truly makes the villa! My husband and I kept commenting on how we’d never spent so much time outside on a trip and we loved it! We were there during the start of the green season so were able to have perfect mornings and afternoons then hangout under the covered area to listen to the evening rain and storms. Dean was responsive, hospitable, and provided the most helpful home guide. Truly appreciated! We can’t wait to return. Pura vida!

We had an incredible one week stay! The villa was comfortable and clean and the view was priceless. We spent our mornings doing yoga on the deck and bird watching. We saw a lot of wildlife from the deck including toucans, iguanas and monkeys. We visited the local waterfall which was refreshing and also used this villa as a launch point for Nauyaca falls, Manuel Antonio park and surfing at Dominicalito. A perfect place to stay for our Costa Rica adventure. Pura Vida!

Really special place!! The views are incredible and we saw so much wildlife from our beautiful wrap-around deck and the pool area, including monkeys, scarlet macaws and agoutis. Loved the privacy and serenity of the villa, but was a short walk to the Mariposa hotel. Would definitely stay here again!!

Paradise. This location is absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, and a true experience of being in Costa Rica nature. The property is surrounded by beautiful foliage, and has an amazing Mountain View. We loved watching the weather patterns throughout the days and the sunrises. The bed and linens are comfortable. The pool is relaxing and the perfect design with shallow and deep ends. We loved our experience and would absolutely return. It's definitely worth the short drive up the mountain to experience the amenities of this property.

Lorna and Frank are great hosts. House is beautiful on the side of the hill right in the tropical forest. You have your private Toucans who welcome you every morning on the Papaya tree next to the pool. Views are stunning especially early morning (6am). We loved that house is very bright, so we could spot every little bug that decided to visit us. Extremely clean. Besides toucans there is plenty to watch. No spoilers here. YES you need 4 wheel drive car. Especially in the rainy season. YES you really need it. Can you make it with 2wd? You can when it’s dry. But after rain you won’t make it up the hill. Bring the binoculars. Yes you need them. Good flashlight might be useful as well. Pretty frequent, but usually short power outages. Dominical beach is not that great - but Uvita and Manuel Antonio are both stunning. Do the Rainmaker, you won’t regret a dime. On the way up to Platanillo the first fruit stand on the right is great and with local prices. We had wonderful time!

This stay was beyond perfect. The home was spotless, beautifully designed with high ceilings and seamless indoor-outdoor living thanks to massive sliding doors. It was stocked with everything imaginable—top-notch cookware, quality toiletries, even thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. With a child in tow, we appreciated how safe and comfortable the space was. You’re tucked into the rainforest mountains, so brief water or power outages can happen—something we expected and which was well communicated. It didn’t impact our stay in the slightest. Just be sure to have a 4x4 to access the area. Karl and Ivonka have truly created an oasis—every detail made us feel welcomed and cared for. If you’re like us and debating where to stay, trust that this one is even better than the photos. Nearby, Tagua Café is a gem, and the surrounding waterfalls and restaurants made the trip even more special. Truly unforgettable. Thank you!

Host was very responsive and friendly and their property was perfect for our five day stay! Any issues that came up or questions I had were always addressed immediately. The property was beautiful and well-maintained and very close to everything we needed to make our visit comfortable. All the windows allowed for a gorgeous view of the mountains and neighborhood each morning while we made and ate breakfast. And as Americans, we very much appreciated how well the air conditioners worked, too! It helped us adjust to the very warm/humid climate so we were always comfortable whenever we were at the property. Beautiful home and surroundings. The beds are all super comfortable and 3 private rooms. A short walk to the beach, in gorgeous jungle. Can't wait to return.

The cabins are well-equipped and confortable. It has an easy access to the main road which also means that it is very close to traffic. However, with AC the noise is barely noticeable at night. Hatillo has a very nice beach (playa Linda) and there are good restaurants in Dominical which is not far away with a car (5 minutes). The cabin could be a bit more cozy, the decoration was very simple. The exterior area is nice, we didn't get a chance to enjoy the pool but it looked clean. We had to shorten our stay due to a long electricity shortage (not the fault of the owner, might happen anywhere in Costa Rica) and our host was dilligent in trying to find a solution for us.

My family of 5 stayed here for Spring Break 2025 for 6 nights, and it was incredible! Maggy was super responsive, and Kenny the caretaker was amazing—he booked two tours for us and helped with anything we needed. The house is peaceful, private, and absolutely beautiful—set high in the hills with mango trees, hiking trails, and stunning views. The pool was perfect after a beach day or hike. We saw toucans and birds on property but missed the monkeys. The bedrooms have AC, which kept us cool at night. Downstairs can get warm, but fans and airflow instructions helped. One morning during our stay the master bedroom AC broke but Maggy got us fans and it was fixed by the next day. You’ll definitely need a 4x4 to get up to the house. Try to arrive during daylight—we were delayed and arrived after dark, which made it tricky. But we contacted Kenny and he came by motorbike to guide us the rest of the way! It’s about 30–40 minutes to Manuel Antonio. Highly recommend. Pura Vida

Amazing property at the top of a hill. The views are incredible, you can see all the way to the ocean without another building in sight! The road is up is pretty steep, so be prepared. But that also means it's very private up there.

I thought I was just booking a place to stay, but to my surprise this was way more than I expected…in an amazing way! Traveling all the way to Costa Rica and being in charge of planning the trip for a group of 12 guys for a bachelor party trip seemed daunting, until the host helped me plan an incredible four days! Not only was the house absolutely incredible in every way, the concierge made sure we were well taken care of during the trip answering all my questions and coordinating everything. We opted for the all inclusive private chef and that was hands down one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. Chef Luis was so friendly, and the food was world class. The host helped book and set up adventures for each day and truly made this the trip of a lifetime. I cannot recommend this place and the host enough.
