Places to stay in Santa Margarita

We enjoyed our stay, the place is very close to the beach and the boardwalk! Our kids enjoyed the cozy family room and the garage stocked with beach toys!

We have stayed at a lot of Airbnbs but this one was one of our favorites! It’s better than the pictures. The indoor/outdoor flow from kitchen to living room to deck makes it so comfortable and fun to hang out. The location is walkable to town and trails. It felt like home and had everything we needed to cook.

A nice weekend getaway location. We walked down the steps to downtown Cambria and enjoyed the proximity to the beach.

My brother had asked me if I wanted a gun for my birthday or money for me and my son to do something. And I’m glad I picked the money for the getaway and to make memories. It was worth it. We had sooo much fun and did not want to leave. Very convenient and easy to find. Love love love. And we are definitely going to come back.

I would highly recommend Rita’s place! My dog and I had a lovely time here while in Paso for a horse show. It was private and felt very safe, quiet, comfortable, and inviting. The guest house windows are really nice letting in natural light and airflow. The place was very clean and stocked well with everything you need. Thanks Rita for providing coffee and oatmeal! They even have a lot of hangers in the closet and an iron which is nice. 10-15 mins away from downtown and the horse park which was perfect for me. I will definitely stay again next time in Paso!

The location is amazing…walk a few blocks & you’re in the heart of SLO. Fabulous restaurants & shops. The place is quite small but fine for 2 of us for a few days. The lack of a shower head is a bit challenging but if you like a tub bath, you’ll be very happy! Overall, a very quaint historic place.

Our stay at Oak Flat Road was delightful from the moment we drove up the gorgeous drive way. The house is perched on a hill with a lovely view of the valley below and birds everywhere. There were six of us and all we wanted to do was cook and ride bikes and relax. And Meriam's place delivered. We have stayed at many Airbnb's and this one had the best stocked kitchen we have encountered so far (knives that were sharp, pots and pans that we needed, lots of plates and glasses, even spices and olive oil). This made a big difference to our gang who likes to cook. The beds were very comfortable and the silence—minus the sound of the birds which we loved—was what we wanted. If you want to hang out in town, its not too far a away--a 15 minute drive. Drawbacks? Studio apartment tub shower is really only a tub. Fireplace was finicky and we used all the ice in the ice machine! None of those things where deal breakers. Finally, Meriam was very attentive and kind!

The location could not be beat. It was walkable to the beach, local restaurants and coffee shops. The check-in process went smoothly and Judi was proactive and attentive throughout our stay. Having some beach amenities like beach towels and beach chairs were very helpful, as we did not have to pack additional items. The electric fireplace worked very well to keep us warm during the cooler nights. The entire family had an amazing time and looking forward to making this our annual trip.
