Rustic Home in Montserrat

This rustic home situated in a secluded valley in Montserrat National Park, 60km from Barcelona was built after the Napoleonic wars. The legend has it that it was built with money stolen from the corpses of the defeated French soldiers after the battle of El Bruc, and it hides an unfound treasure. I rebuilt the house from a near ruin, respecting the original structure in 1992. I have decorated it with a notable and very personal collection of art. Picturesque views.

"The Coop" is a cosy, self-contained studio with stunning views of Montserrat, surrounded by nature. This is a haven for walkers, climbers and nature lovers as well as artists, writers and other creators seeking peace and tranquility. Only an hour from Barcelona, "The Coop" is on our property, where we live with our 2 dogs, 2 cats and laying hens. We share the mountain with insects, wild boar, deer and a wide variety of plants. The property is fenced all around.

It's on the ground floor of the house, it has a porch with hammocks, it's very nice, the bathroom is full and the bed is very large, the mini kitchen is complete. The pool is salt water. The pool is shared with other guests. It's a house with views. and it's just for couples. I don't allow parties. Montserrat is very close and Barcelona is 50 km away
