This was a short trip for my wife and 6 y/o son to experience the Northwoods. They are hooked and cant wait to come back again. The accommodations were excellent. Only thing i would ask for would be satellite tv.. A plus in our book.. Tha k you for everything and for sharing your cabin..

What a beautiful place to stay! House is amazing, scenery amazing, fishing was good as the boys caught large and small mouth bass, northern and grand baby was elated at all the blue gill she caught off the dock. Gene was very prompt on answering all questions and very gracious for helping with all that mattered. Nice scenic drive into town for shopping and other needs less then 10 minutes away. Close walking trails. Great for family vacation!!

Our family had a wonderful time at Otter Haven! Christina and her family welcomed us to their home and thoughtfully cared for property (200+ acres?). This is a naturalist's dream; the hard work and loving stewardship they have put into the land are truly inspiring. The house is spacious, with a full kitchen and a serene setting with extensive trails to explore. And, the 'cherry on top' was seeing snapping turtle hatchlings emerge from their nests--a truly lucky event!

My group only slept and cooked at the cabin as we were busy exploring the area during the day. Angie was very responsive and accommodating, but was not overbearing at all! My group will be back!

We were an inter-generational group of 10 cousins, looking for a relaxing place on a lake where we could spend time together but also spread out, cook for ourselves, and enjoy the lake. This place exceeded our expectations. It is truly a secluded compound with multiple buildings and set in a beautiful and serene location. We made meals in the dining hall, enjoyed our morning coffee in the screen porch of the main lodge overlooking the lake, and played in the lake. We also had campfires and enjoyed walks along the tree-lined road. This is a historic fishing lodge with very unique decorations and being there makes it feel like you are stepping back in time. The owners have also added thoughtful amenities like beach towels close to the steps to the dock, slippers at the front door, and stacked firewood next to the campfire ring. The owner went above and beyond last-minute when our car wouldn't start and we needed a jump. We recommend this place for those seeking a unique group experience!

Amazing place. Super cozy and comfortable. The wood burning stove and record player created a magical retreat for creating family memories. The loft is adorable and very spacious! The basement was way roomier than expected. All beds were very comfortable!! and a total hit with my kids. Communication was quick and easy and Naomi was great at checking in with us throughout our stay. Highly recommend!!!

This is our 2nd year in a row staying here for our family christmas. The space is perfect and open for families with kiddos. We were able to icefish and ice skate on the lake . The stay was perfect. We usually try different locations every year but after last year my family voted we do this one again and that choice did not disappoint. The game room is a hit and there is enough sitting in the kitchen for big family dinners .

I wish we could have stayed longer! The cabin feels very homey and comfortable. We spent most of our time in the sunroom glued to our binoculars, looking at the birds. We used the precut wood and had a fire in the fireplace each night. The tv isn’t “modern” but it encouraged us to be more present. There’s plenty to do during the day so we didn’t even turn it on until the evening and we watched some movies from the DVD’s provided. We took the canoe out since the water was starting to open up and got up close with a beaver! The paddles and life jackets were easy to find in the shed. The bed/bedding was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has the basics you need for cooking. We’re already talking about booking another stay sometime in the warmer months!
