Jake answers within a few a minutes. The place is clean and very nice. Location is like 2 houses from the water and within a 2 minute drive from the stores. I would totally stay again!

Made a great home base for our ATV run this fall. Trail head is within riding distance from the cabin. The cabin had all the comforts of home. And the beds where very comfortable to sleep on after a long days ride. We would definitely stay at Jake's place again!!

Jill's place was EXACTLY what we were hoping for! Clean inside and out , beautifully decorated and amazing location!! We have 3 girls under the age of 11 a d they had an amazing time. The water was shallow and very clear, the house was much more private then u wld expect on a lake! There is a hotel next door but we never saw more then 2 guest, the manager even let our girls play on their beach!! Do not hesitate to book this gem!! U will NOT regret staying here. Elaine's Lighthouse was the perfect place for us to spend time, as a family. It was much more spacious, than we expected, with plenty of room for our group of 6 adults. The screened porch was a wonderful area for meals and talking, and the large yard was a great area for playing games. We enjoyed evenings around the fire pit and the supplied wood was an appreciated touch. There were plenty of dishes, pots/pans, utensils, towels and pillows. We enjoyed our stay very much.

She provides plenty of options with her bikes, kayaks, and games for you to enjoy during your stay. She also had plenty of dishes and utensils in the kitchen for your use. Overall, a wonderful place to stay!

A cozy very clean cottage. Great location for winter sports and summer recreation. Quiet street and easy to get to many local spots. Bikes would be great in the summer. We were so appreciative of having our small dogs there enjoying north Michigan forests. We would visit again at any season. Patrick is an attentive host, GREAT communication.

Clean, cozy, and extremely convenient for ice fisherman and Atv riders. Had a blast and especially enjoyed the layout and setup of the property. I will book again in future.

We rented the cabin for Tip Up Town. There is direct access to the lake at the end of the road. Plenty of room for our truck and trailer. The cabin was perfect for 2 couples. Would definitely rent this place again when in the area!

Very clean and cozy environment

I had a family emergency and I needed a place to stay at the last minute. We are so lucky we found this cottage by the lake. It is absolutely perfect. From the location to all the amenities, you will want for nothing!! They really go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you could possibly need while you're away from home. It feels like home.

We can't say enough good things about this place. It is perfectly decorated with all the amenities of home. We enjoyed the easy access to the water (our 2 and 5 year old grandsons would agree; if they were outside they were in the water). And the kayaks were an added bonus!

We stayed at the cottage up the hill and this was a last get together before the summer ended with my son who just graduated college and my other son who will start college this fall . We had a fantastic stay. Everything was as we had pictured it, a rustic cottage on a lake. We enjoyed our time on the water kayaking and sitting around the bonfire at night.

Leah’s place was excellent! The snacks, wine, and dog treats were a nice touch. The only thing I didn’t like were the pillows in the bedrooms, they were flat and uncomfortable. Overall, this was a great place to stay, and I would stay here again.

This was my first experience with Airbnb. I was not disappointed. Tim was an amazing host and responded in a timely manner to my many questions before our arrival. The private beach was perfect for our 5 young children with a sandy bottom and no drop off. The home was clean and ready for our arrival on time. We were able to bring our dogs for a small extra fee that was less than finding a place to board them for the week. We will definitely be returning for summers to follow.

Cozy cabin with everything you need! More spacious than the pictures suggest. Large, completely fenced in backyard which was great for our dog. The wood burning stove was easy to use and great for our winter weekend.

We went to the Houghton Lake area for a cross country skiing weekend and we are so glad that we decided to stay at Pop’s Place! The location was perfect for us. Houghton Lake’s restaurants were not far in the one direction and the Higgins Lake ski trails were just a short drive in the other. The house was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. Being pet friendly was a definite plus because our pup also had a wonderful time. Would love to stay again sometime.

We had a very pleasant stay at “Pop’s Place” this past weekend while enjoying “Tip-up Town” at Houghton Lake. Very clean, warm and cozy. Comfortable beds with heated blankets in the big bed 😊 Great location near the East Bay for excellent ice fishing!

Very cute house! 1 bathroom went over very well for the 6 of us. Nice kitchen and backyard space was adorable. The dock was just up the street not a hard walk.

Nice little house near the lake. Short walk to the private dock where you can swim or dock your boat. Kitchen had everything we needed. Washer and dryer was nice to have also. We especially appreciated having a fire pit in the fenced in yard, as well as a charcoal grill. Communication with host was speedy and helpful. Plenty of parking and check in was super easy.

To start we couldn’t make it until 100 in the morning and the owner Lee was there to greet us and showed us where to park and went over everything. The hospitality was awesome and couldn’t have asked for better hosts. The place has everything you’ll need to include towels. It’s big and spacious, but not so nice that you feel you can’t touch anything.(perfect for 5 adults and 2 kids riding Atv’s). The biggest bonus was how nice and helpful the owners were, anything we asked about the town, riding, etc..... they bent over backwards for us. If you’re looking for a affordable place right on the lake this is the place for you!

We had a wonderful stay at Lori and Lee’s place. From the moment we got there they were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The log cabin and beautiful water views made for the perfect up north retreat. We had such a nice visit, we didn’t want to leave!

This is an amazing place to stay; right on the water and across the street from trail access. You can get pretty much anywhere/everywhere on your ORV/ATV. Lori and Lee are absolutely phenomenal hosts and they are around for anything you may need. She was constantly bringing us goodies for our children. We all enjoyed ourselves so much and will definitely be returning!! We had two families of four stay the whole time and one night we had two extra adult guests; plenty of space!

If in Houghton Lake...stay here. Our cabin was great, the location was perfect, and Lori and Lee are great hosts. Their goal is to make their guests happy and they achieved that 100%. Great tips on the lake, places to go, restaurant next door was nice to walk to when we didn’t want to cook. Live music there that you could hear at night which was nice (wasn’t too loud at all). The kitchen had everything you needed to prepare meals. When in Houghton Lake in the future, I would definitely stay here again. We had such a great time.

The cottage was perfect for our stay on the lake. Plenty of seating in every area of the house. The kids loved the sandbox, toys and swings. The water was nice and shallow for the little ones to swim. It was actually nice to listen to the live music next door at the limber lost. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to make meals. Parking was convenient. Fire pit was huge with wood to burn. Fishing on this side of the lake was great caught every species just a few hundred yards in front of the cottage. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place. So nice it had lake access. We were able to moor our boat right out front. The host was really great. So friendly and helpful. The cabin has a room filled with windows that gives you a view of the lake. Deck was really nice as wash the kitchen

We were looking for a house in the general location of Higgins Lake / Roscommon for a family event and this was perfect. We were five adults and had ample room. We felt at home right away. The community spaces - sunroom, dining area and dining room are spacious and designed for family gatherings. The kitchen is well equipped with a 5 burner gas stove. There was plenty of comfortable seating. A sofa, loveseat, and two recliners next to the gas fireplace in the family room. Dining table that easily seats 6 people, and a sun room with LOTS of windows. It wasn't quite warm enough to use the deck/patio during our visit, but a large table with umbrella and 6 chairs were available. Everything was clean and comfortable; obvious recent updates; new appliances; peaceful beautiful yard. At the time that I booked the rental, there were no interior pictures but I took a chance because the location was perfect. We were not disappointed. We will be back!

This cabin was very nice with lots of space! I stayed here with 2 other adults & 6 kids & there was plenty of room for us all. Plus it's in a great location!! Beach access was a short walk away. There were a couple different ice cream shops & even a fun center with Go Karts, Mini Golf, & Bumper boats right up the street. We'd definitely recommend this place!

The pictures do not do this place justice. The cabin is much larger than expected and even more beautiful. There was plenty of space inside to fit 7 of us comfortably. Oleg went out of his way to have lots of amenities available for us to use if needed. It made us feel right at home. The wrap around deck was beautiful. And there was more than enough space in the yard to play multiple yard games. Overall was a great experience and close to restaurants/bars/store and the lake. One of the best places we have stayed for our annual trip!

This is a great place to stay. The log cabin is made to look rustic but it’s very comfortable and spacious. All wood floors and knotty pine. Very adequate shower in large bathroom. We didn’t use the washer or dryer but they are new. The 3 bedrooms are good sized with very comfortable new beds!! Closet space was more than expected. Kitchen is large with table that could seat 6. Very close-five minutes to town of Houghton Lake. We were more than pleased with our stay here. Thanks Oleg!

I went when it was super cold but the place is cozy. I'm not accustomed to the slippery feeling of hard water when showering. Other than that I have no complaints, what you see is what you get.

We came into town for the UFO convention. When we arrived at check-in, we were greeted by our fantastic host, Chris, who runs the property. Due to the availability of rooms, we were upgraded to a really nice and cozy spot with a shared balcony that looked towards the lake. While we enjoyed our stay due to its charm, it was an additional plus to get to take advantage of the in house restaurant's bar after a long day. We laughed a lot with Audrey, the bartender, who took care of us all night. Everyone on staff was both accommodating as hosts and fantastic to close out the evening with as company. Can't wait to book again when I return to Houghton Lake, either for the beautiful scenery, lovely locals, or the chance to see strange lights in the sky.

The room was very rustic and looked like an authentic lodge. We had a shared balcony which was very spacious with enough tables and chairs for everyone and with a great view of the water. The restaurant was great with very attentive staff. They are located right on the lake with lots of seating and a dock and fire pits.

If you are looking for the least expensive getaway during summer in Houghton Lake, this is it. The communication process was quick, the room was small but quaint with the necessities, and the restaurant and hospitality was the best. I felt welcomed here. It was quiet, comfortable and peaceful. The restaurant on-site has an excellent bbq pulled pork salad and excellent service. It stayed open until the last group of people wanted to leave. Beautiful lakefront view. Close parking.

Clean room, comfortable bed, in a scenic location. No frills here, it’s a bed, a toilet, sink, dorm-sized refrigerator with an patio door leading out to a shared balcony with table and chairs. There was an air conditioner, though it cooled off nicely at night and I slept with the patio door open to listen to the crickets and get a breeze off the lake. It’s an older place with dated decor, scant electrical outlets, etc. Overall, a simple, comfortable room. It’s all about the location, and I didn’t come to the lake to spend time in the room. Downstairs, the restaurant/bar had great service and a good selection of beverages. It was crowded and the food smelled great — I had eaten before I arrived so didn’t try it. Things seemed to wrap up by 10 PM so it was quiet by bedtime. The grounds are on Houghton Lake with a large dock and a play area for kids shared with a few small cabins on the property. I enjoyed an Oberon draft on a bench near the water before bed. Overall, it was a pleasant weekend on Houghton Lake.

Had a group of 5 guys for a golf trip and the house worked out great for us. Garage was a definite plus for watching college football after we finished our rounds. Would definitely stay again!

Really great value, we had five guys on a golf outing and it fit our needs perfectly. Three of the beds were small, but two of us brought air mattresses and there was plenty of room for them so everyone pretty much had their own room. When we got back from golfing we ordered food and kicked back and watched some football then finished off the night with a campfire. Perfect weekend for us. Very clean, very comfortable. Great location.

Spent three nights here while deer hunting and was most happy to come back to a nice warm clean home. Teresa is a great Host that is on top of things and sends text messages to ensure that you are satisfied, comfortable and have the pin number to get into the home. Yes, I would recommend this home to the hunters and fisherman looking to explore the Grayling, Higgans/Houghton Lake areas.

Such a nice place, great location had no problems with 3 trucks and trailers of toys, was given great pointers on trailhead and little tips of where to go, the store around the corner has everything u could need! House was super clean had everything we forgot and nice to hang in after a long day on the trails!! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you for a great stay!!

Great location, lots to do and cute place

Adorable, spacious, cottage in beautiful Roscommon! Super clean, well stocked kitchen, towels, toilet paper and even shampoo and other necessities in case you forgot. Beds were comfortable, plenty of seating both in the living area and kitchen. Picnic tables and firepit for cozy night making s'mores. When we needed something Teresa had it there with an hour! She was open for communication and checked on us via text all week. A quick drive to a private dock for sunbathing and swimming. Both North and South Higgins Lake beaches were beautiful! We went canoeing, shopping and went to Roscommon Zoo! I highly recommend this family owned zoo! Great place to stay!

This place was better then the pictures! Beautiful views of Houghton Lake throughout the house. Very comfortable beds and a extra fan in almost every closet! Everything was labeled which was very helpful. I was surprised to see shampoo and conditioner and other thoughtful amenities! We came for a quick weekend but I would love to come back this summer when the lake is not frozen.

We had a great time for a family reunion in February. We walked on the ice, played games and just chatted. The place is very nicely decorated and has a cool "Up North" feel. The host was very accommodating and was quick to respond. There were 8 of us and we fit comfortably. I would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful house! The view of the frozen lake was beautiful all day long. Comfortable and cozy spaces. Host was very helpful and hospitable. Would definitely stay here again!

The Houghton Lake Hybrid was one of the best Airbnb's we've stayed in so far. The home was spotless and had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. We'll definitely be back for a trip this summer!

Staying at Matthew’s home was absolutely wonderful! The views from the upper deck were spectacular and I can’t wait to come back in the summer. Everything in this home was so well thought out and perfect for a relaxing weekend retreat.

Daniel the host is very responsive. The home is very nice, very clean and comfortable. We stayed in March, but if you are in the area to spend time on Higgins Lake the house is very close to Kelly Beach.

We had an awesome stay! Everything was very clean and there was plenty of room in the house.

Nice big place. the drive was big enough for our truck, trailer and snow mobiles without an issue.

Daniel’s place was spacious, clean, and comfortable! It was an ideal location to enjoy the nearby fabulous cross country skiing!

Second time staying at Daniel’s Airbnb. Great location to stay at for a trip up north for cross country skiing! Cross country ski HQ is approximately a 5 min drive. Highly recommend for larger groups due to the large common space. Would definitely stay again!

Great Place.

Great comfortable home!

Upon arriving, the driveway to the cottage was difficult to find. The cottage is quaint and has lovely characteristics all its own. It brings you back to simpler times and what matters most relaxing time away with a beautiful lake view. It’s perfect for a fall getaway to spent time with family, playing games, walking at Hartwick Pines and ending the night with a peaceful bonfire.

Stayed here with another couple for harvest gathering weekend. Very clean and cute space! Beds were comfortable and shower pressure was good. Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. Close to everything!

Have stayed here multiple times and it is always such a charming place right at the edge of Houghton Lake. Everything we needed was already there so we just unpacked our stuff and filled the fridge from our cooler. Nothing beats a coffee in the morning with the expanse of the lake for your view. If you forgot anything at home you need there is a plethora of places around to pick it up. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Nice cottage for a weekend stay!

This cozy cottage was just perfect. It is steps from the lake. The owners are kind and helpful. The cottage is clean, well-appointed and adorable. The beds are incredibly comfortable. This was such a great place to sit-back and relax by the water and recharge. I highly recommend staying here. It was absolutely wonderful!

Right on the water, great location and sparkling clean. The drive way is a bit steep, but since you can turn around on the grass, getting back up is not an issue.

Tim is a great host and was available to answer all our questions...including going out of his way to locate a fishing boat rental. We had a great time!

The Hook and Ladder Lodge is a great spot for a Houghton Lake Getaway. It is clean and offers a kitchen furnished with all the necessities. Tim, the host, is very friendly and responds to any inquiries very quickly. It is a great location for two families to vacation together, but still have privacy. We hope to visit again.

Very clean. All the extras were greatly appreciated. Coffee pot, liners, salt, pepper, sugar, paper towels, toilet paper,paper cups, paper plates, china dishes, silver ware, and on and on. Tim answered every question right away. Would stay again.

We loved our little piece of water front! We also loved that Tim lived super close and even came over to help us at 11 p.m. at night! He was very nice and very accomdating! The wind blew over our umbrella in the picnic table and broke it and he didn't even seem to mind! He is very understanding! We loved our trip, our neighgbors, and our host!!! We would totally rent again!!!

What a great experience. This was strictly fishing, and we could not have been happier with the location. Best fishing in the lake right outside the door. Great lake, super host, and great amenities. This duplex would be great for families and friends to rent out both sides. I like that the check in is the same for both sides, so limited interruptions.

This cottage is a hidden GEM on Houghton Lake! My boyfriend and I went on a weekend trip to Gita’s place and it was everything we wanted and more!! The sunrise and sunset on the lake is absolutely STUNNING!! The large floor to ceiling windows/sliding doors made it so easy to enjoy the view from anywhere in the house. We were a little nervous about the neighbors, but no one bothered us at all! We will definitely be booking with Gita again!

This is the first time that I rented an Airbnb. I loved being at this cottage. It was very clean and comfortable. It was my home away from home. The view of the lake is so rejuvenating. I loved waking up and drinking my coffee while watching the waves lap onto the shore. Floating on a raft is my new yoga. The host was very easy to communicate with. I appreciated the extra attention to details of what restaurants, stores, and things to do are in the area. I definitely will be back!

Had a wonderful stay . Cottage was very clean . All the personal touches that Gita brought into the cottage for her guest to use made us feel welcomed. Houghton lake is a Mecca for water lovers and our host made sure we could enjoy it by providing kayaks. She also gave us a list of cool places to go ., our favourite the Copper Kettle distilleries a unique place to sample different flavours of rum , Bart’s market and down the road goofy golf . Location is perfect.. 1hr 30 to Traverse city and Potoskey , Higgins lake is the around the corner. This is definitely a little gem
