April was an awesome communicator. We loved the place. I highly recommend it. The jacuzzi and wildlife watching was wonderful.

Host Robert, was very responsive with any issues we had. We were in town for my sisters’ funeral, and it was extremely difficult for me. Unbeknownst to me my 3 brothers and nieces and nephews thought that they would bring food over to us because I was in a not in a good state of mind. They felt I needed people around me and needed to eat. The host Rob, was concerned with the amount of people that were there and clearly stated in the rules of limit of people and reached out to me and very kindly reminded us of the rules. I instructed my family to please go back to their Airbnb’s. I am very apolojetic for putting our host in that position. I would highly recommend this Airbnb. Very beautiful. Even with cold, rainy weather, we still had the best weekend staying here! The cabin is so cozy with everything we needed, we felt right at home. Being right in the water was fantastic, especially enjoying the view from the hot tub on the colder days. If you're in the area I would highly recommend staying here!

House was exactly has depicted. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio watching the fishing boats and enjoying beautiful sunsets. The hot tub was also nice. The house has plenty of towels and the kitchen had everything we needed.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend for my dad’s memorial service at the nearby Eagles Rec Center, and I can’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate his memory. The view of the lake is absolutely breathtaking—especially from the two massive decks and the private bedroom balcony. Sunrise coffee and sunset bonfires hit different with that kind of scenery. We even saw bald eagles! There was more than enough room for our group of 9 adults and 3 kids to spread out comfortably across all three levels. The house is beautifully renovated with a rustic modern vibe. The two large door walls in the living room gave tons of natural light and panoramic views of the lake from inside. From kayaks and paddleboards to the sandy bonfire area, to the stocked kitchen (with two fridges!), grill on the deck, the awesome game room downstairs, and on-site laundry, this place had it all. The beds were super comfy and the bathrooms were stocked with shampoos and soaps. Truly an amazing weekend.

Spent the weekend for a Bach party, was beautiful, looked like photos. Kathleen was the nicest and made everything so smooth. Will definitely be coming back

We had a fantastic stay at this wonderful cottage! The space was clean, cozy, and incredibly well-organized, with a kitchen that was impressively well-stocked with everything we needed. The location was absolutely perfect for exploring Houghton Lake, Higgins Lake, and the surrounding area—close to everything, yet peaceful and relaxing. Nicole and Matthew were extremely responsive and helpful, making everything smooth and stress-free. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Wow... Such a beautiful spot to wind down. Came for my husband's birthday weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better spot! Sarah was super sweet and helpful. House had ALL the amenities we needed too. We COOK on trips due to food sensitivities and the kitchen was very well equipped! House was spotless and very charming. Located on a beautiful large lake. We would certainly come back in a heartbeat!

Ben was able to accommodate my last minute stay and I’m so appreciative! I was hoping to get away from the city and enjoy watching the lake with my partner and pup. We were obsessed with the sunroom, multiple board games/puzzle available, watching movies and just catching back up. The lake is still a bit chilly which worked for me because nobody else was out and about! It was such a peaceful, calming trip and I would definitely come back.

This place was beautiful. She had everything we needed and then some.we really enjoyed the kayaks and beach. The kids loved swimming right off the beach. Quiet lake. Would definitely come again. My only complaint would be that it didnt seem like the a/c was working upstairs while we were there so it got a little toasty. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience.

Gorgeous view from the living room and deck. Master bedroom mattress super comfortable. Ceiling fan in living area and master great addition. Loved sitting in at the table in the sunroom since it was a bit chilly to be on the deck. Three local owned restaurants we went to had fantastic food. I already talked to friends about the place and hope to go back again this summer.

I wish I would have booked my stay for longer, and I had this place booked for two months. The privacy and views here and around, are unmatched and for the rates it is a no-brainer. There are trails within minutes and plenty of places to set off in a kayak or canoe. Lakes galore. Plenty of fun summer activities. The hosts were very kind and polite, and spoke to me like I was a person rather than a tenant for any amount of time. Best AirBnB experience I have ever had. Thank you guys. Hopefully I can make it back again sometime

The house was a bit smaller than expected, but it still worked out great. The paddle boards, paddle boat and kayaks were so much fun! Virginia was very responsive to the minor glitch that we did have with the electricity. Very clean. The fire pit was awesome and wood was provided (Bonus!!).

The house was in a nice location. Close to the lake and a nice spot to take a walk. It was very clean and organized and well stocked. The communication with the host was great. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

Had a great stay! The directions were very clear so it was easy to find. Had a great time relaxing with my family. From cooking on the Blackstone, to using the kayaks, to playing Jenga. Got to enjoy the fire pit as well and the little area to get in the water was fun. The Airbnb is very spacious from the inside. The kitchen was very stocked with appliances, and plates to use in case you forget your own. Peaceful! Would recommend and would love to come back!

Jennifer was incredibly communicative, accommodating, and the cabin was ideal. We went to the alpaca farm, rented a golf cart for the week, and had a great time at the playground and beach with the kids that’s literally at the end of the driveway.

Tom and Kent were fantastic hosts and the property and home itself were absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t ask for a better experience and would certainly recommend CC49 to anyone looking to stay in the area. The home was clean and comfortable, with amazing amenities. We had so much fun at the property that we hardly felt any need to go into town! Tom and Kent were more than accommodating when I asked about early check-in and Kent even brought extra kayaks without me having to ask. Overall outstanding!

Great home to host our work girls trip. We had a relaxing weekend with the wood fireplace and watched movies. Boyne is about an hour away so it was a beautiful scenic drive. Beds are super comfortable with lots of space. Kitchen well equipped with everything needed.

The cabin was very clean and homely was very satisfied with the amities and the surrounding area was very quiet.Nichole was a great host.

The cottage was everything we needed for a weekend getaway in northern Michigan. We were grateful for the clean space, easy access to the lake, and grilling/bonfire space in the backyard. Higgins Lake is a beautiful place and we definitely recommend Adam and Madalyn’s place.

100% recommend! This is our family’s 4th summer staying here. We absolutely love it! Our group ranged from a 3 yr old to a 50 year old, including our teenage son and young adult daughter. The neighbors on either side were friendly and helpful. Our family enjoyed swimming, fishing, paddle boards and the fire pit. It is the perfect summer get away!
