The Teasel Yurt

You will find The Teasel Yurt tucked into the side of Selsley Common. The large deck looks out over the Severn Vale and Stroud hills - spectacular in all weather and a great spot for sunset. The yurt itself can accommodate a maximum of 5 people with your bedding and towels provided. There is a wood burner to keep the yurt cosy when it is chilly out and the open air kitchen has a canvas roof, a gas burner, firepit/BBQ, sink and cool box. Your bathroom has a hot shower and compost loo.

Secluded & Cosy Yurt in the Forest of Dean

Everything you need for a peaceful stay right on the south east edge of the Forest of Dean. Cut into the hillside, the yurt has an extremely comfortable double bed and a pull out sofa double bed, with clean wood flooring and upcycled furniture. A wood burner provides heat on chilly nights. You have sole use of a modern rustic shower room and flushing loo, kitchenette with all of the essentials, outdoor eating shelter, and campfire area. We love it here, and we hope you will too.

The yurt is situated on an organic small holding in the beautiful Welsh valleys. You have to cross a foot bridge to get to it. Leave your car on one side of the river and walk to your accommodation. Located in the middle of Laurie Lee’s setting for his book Cider with Rosie, this is a rustic camp tucked away at the very top of a 12-acre smallholding with picturesque views across this lovely Cotswolds valley.
