An ideal ‘base camp’ as you explore the National Park and surrounding area. Light a fire and get lazy, chill out in the hottub, star-gaze at the incredible night skies, or just take in the majestic Pen y Fan as you plan (or recover from) your ascent.

A luxury shepherd hut set in its own paddock overlooking the Wye valley and the Black mountains, close to the town of Hay on Wye and the Brecon Beacons National Park. Get away from it all in a cosy shepherd’s hut amongst trees in a beautiful rural location. Tom's Hut has a comfortable double bed, storage below and a compact kitchen unit with double gas hob, sink and fridge, pots, pans crockery and cutlery. Keep warm with a wood-burner and fire wood provided, or underfloor heating. Outside, there is a table for al-fresco dining. A newly built, heated shower room is close to the hut. Just 3 miles from Newent and various pubs. Please note there is no WiFi.

Beautiful shepherd's hut set in stunning rural surroundings on the host family's organic beef and sheep farm. Rustic and comfortable. With wonderful views, log burner and stove, king size bed and fold-down table. Plus wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, outdoor shower and eco toilet. Off-grid (no wifi). A free bucket of wood is left inside the hut for the log burner. If you would like to use the hot tub then this is an additional cost of £20 to be paid on arrival. Must book hot tub on booking
