Hut vacation rentals in River Severn

Teresa kept us informed from the moment we booked. Giving clear directions and instructions for check in. We arrived just after check in had opened and the hot tub was ready to use. There was a lovely welcome basket left inside for us. Little Acres what a gem it was very clean and tidy inside and out. There was a guest book with useful numbers and instructions for all the appliances and hot tub. The views were amazing and the area peaceful. The hot tub was welcomed after a day walking mount snowdon. A nice green area in front of the shepherds hut was kept tidy with a hammock on it. We walked through the gardens to see the animals although most were still out in the fields. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break.

We had a fantastic weekend stay in this lovely little gem of a place, the scenery & peaceful surroundings really made it, the hot tub was a definite bonus. The local pubs were very friendly & fantastic food. I would highly recommend this place & can't wait to come back again.

A great place to stay as we were visiting the Royal Welsh Showground at Builth Wells. The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.

If you are looking for someone to escape to with the peace and tranquility of the countrywide with just a sprinkling of natural farm noise - this is the place to be. We had a really relaxing few days here and Rosalind was very helpful and in hand if you need anything. We always had a friendly greeting from the 3 dogs who would be delighted with a belly scratch. Loved it here.

This was our third stay at Paul’s shepherds hut. It’s the lost wonderful escape! If you’re craving an escape with tranquility, peace and quiet, then this is the place for you. At night all you can hear is the gentle tinkle of the stream and the hooting of owls. In the morning, if you head outside, dawn chorus is amazing. Our dog absolutely loves it here too. He has so much secure space to roam he is so happy exploring. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Lovely and. Cosy, clean and peaceful. We had a lovely time . Running late on arrival and host going out at 6:15pm, so this did panic me as I was afraid we would have to sleep in the car all night. Only airbnb I’ve gone to that doesn’t allow a lock box or anytime check in. That aside had a lovely time and the bacon and sausages were a real treat . Thank you

Great weekend, thanks Jess! The hut was really sweet, great use of the space and thanks so much for all the extra gifts Prosecco cake etc. Hot tub was amazing! Would recommend walking from the hut to Tewkesbury. Great views at the top of Norton Hill and then dropping down to walk alongside the river into the town which is lovely. 8 mile walk, we had a superb meal at an Italian restaurant and got a taxi back !!

Loved our stay at Offa’s Dyke Retreat. The location was gorgeous with wonderful views, especially first thing when the mountain glowed orange! Beautiful carriage with everything we needed. Hot tub was fab. Garden was great with picnic bench and another set of table and chairs with a fire pit. High hedges offered privacy but I could see the lawn where my kids played, perfect. The communal kitchen/lounge was a great bonus too and would come in super handy if the weather wasn’t great. They absolutely loved it too. Shop just up the road and a lovely pub that does tasty food. We stopped at Waun Fach on our way for a picnic and walk, outstanding views along Gospel Pass. Would highly recommend Joey’s place. Thanks for having us!

Great location to visit the surrounding Cotswolds and a quiet and peaceful place.

A unique stay in the shepherds hut with beautiful surroundings. Had all the facilities needed for a long weekend, and extra luxury with the hot tub.

Our second visit was just as good as the first. No complaints! If you’re looking for a relaxing atmosphere, this is the place to go. Thom was great as always.

We enjoyed a restful and restorative weekend at the Meadow View Shepherd's Hut. The aspect of the hut is absolutely stunning, looking out over views of the Shropshire hills. The space feels incredibly private and has so many thoughtful touches, including BBQ and firepit equipment. David was really friendly and provided helpful instructions on finding the property as well as local guidance. We'd love to visit again in the near future!

I brought my wife here for a birthday surprise, Sharon put up some lovely birthday banners, she went above and beyond for us. The place was spotlessly clean and has everything you need for your stay. Us & the dog had the most amazing weekend, it really is a special place, we will most definitely be returning😊

We found a little piece of heaven. The Shepherd’s Hut was just perfect for our two night stay. A small hut with a big heart and absolutely everything we needed!! It felt spacious because it was so beautifully designed and furnished. Dilys was just a joy, so accommodating and helpful. Cannot recommend highly enough. Definitely use the Swedish Bath….it’s a must have experience, especially with a glass of wine on a beautiful evening!! Thank you Dilys, we will be back with friends and family!!

We had a great stay here. The farm itself was beautiful , we sat outside for most of the time and watched the world go by with a couple of drinks. Everything was right around the corner and a great pub a few mins away. Georgina also made the effort to come and say hello which we thought was nice.

Lovely relaxing spot for a countryside getaway! Suzanne was a lovely host who was super proactive with communication and really friendly throughout our stay. The hut was really peaceful and a wonderful spot for a relaxing holiday!

Clean, comfortable, and super peaceful. Chris is a top bloke and his place is the ideal getaway. The hut is a short walk from all of the amenities yet a stones throw from the woods and gorge, and having free rein of the private garden with viewing platform is a lovely touch. Wonderful!

The cabin was roomy, warm and cosy. Just what we wanted after a long wet bike ride. Private and peaceful, friendly and accommodating. A perfect stay for a long weekend. We also had leaping new born lambs for ring side entertainment. What more could you ask for?!

It was our second time at the Shepherds Hut and we loved it both times. The hut is just what you need for a little getaway, I would also recommend visiting local pub (walkable distance from the hut) Woolpack Inn, such a lovely place and people. If you like waking up to stunning views and fresh air, I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Shepherds Hut!

We had a really wonderful stay, Rachel was an awesome host and was so helpful and proactive. The hut was stunning and so were the surroundings. We would recommend the local farm shops and Bird land (lots of dog friendly activities). The kind gestures from Rachel really made our stay special.

We had a wonderful stay at the Shepherds Hut. Whichford Pottery café was amazing as per Colin's recommendation (note: 3pm last food orders on Saturdays!). Rollright Stones are worth a visit. The hut was cosy and shower warm. had everything we needed and some fruit was a nice surprise. Heads up to anyone tall that the hut is 6ft wide so you can't just put your feet off the end of the bed like you might be able to elsewhere if you are taller.
