Vacation rentals with a sauna in River Severn

Place is lovely and quiet on a country lane. Owners Mark and Lavinia are very helpful and friendly. Loved the peacocks and their dog Lyra. Great location to drive out each day to explore the area from Bath up to the Cotswolds.

Aaron had made sure we had everything we needed including phone chargers which came in handy. The flat was very spacious, homely and well located. As a host Aaron was quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall a great stay.

The apartment was even better in reality than in the photos - lovely decor and comfortable beds/sofas. As we had lovely weather for our weekend stay , we sat outside on the rooftop terrace relaxing at every opportunity, listening to birdsong and lake-watching the wildlife. We hadn’t appreciated the amount of activities on offer at Lower Mill Estate but used the outdoor heated pool, recliners and sauna before we checked in - it really started our weekend in relaxing mood. We went to Ballihoo restaurant during our visit and this was a great family restaurant, very casual with good food - a few minutes walk from the accommodation. We did some Cotswolds sightseeing on the Saturday and it was lovely to know our penthouse and sundeck was waiting when we returned in the afternoon. Jane recommended a local restaurant for the Saturday evening and we weren’t disappointed- the food was absolutely delicious and it made the weekend perfect. Jane & Nico - thank you for everything:-)

Miranda’s place is a gem; tranquil self-contained flat with everything you need, plus many extra special touches, set in a beautiful garden surrounded by stunning countryside. This is the perfect place to rest and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. There are endless amazing walks and activities nearby and further afield in the Forest of Dean and major supermarkets and other shops only 20-30 minutes drive away. We received a warm welcome from Miranda and Mark and Miranda went out of her way to recommend walks and other local activities and to make sure we were comfortable. Her work is fascinating and she was generous in sharing a glimpse of that and in accessing us to her gorgeous horses and to produce growing on the farm. Looking forward to a return visit!

The retreat is in a beautiful location , surrounded by hills, countryside and lovely walks. The property was beautifully clean and welcoming and the swimming pool is an amazing facility. Everything was perfect , and we will definitely be back.

We loved the apartment, immediately felt at home. Unusual artefacts give it a special feeling, and signs of family life make it welcoming - you don't feel you're renting. The sitting room is huge with comfortable sofas and armchairs, and shelves full of books to read. There's a dining room and two bedrooms and two bathrooms but, alas, my only criticism, only one toilet. I'd do away with the sauna and put in a toilet instead. The kitchen is really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The Upgrade Authority is very efficient - I blew a fuse using the toaster and it was fixed immediately. The area is lovely, a village suburb, with a mix of shops, takeaways, restaurants, and traditional pubs. We hope to return.

For the price per person it’s incredible value, especially as the swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room provide an excellent addition. It’s not luxurious but the beds are really comfortable and the shower was good. A great stay as we visited Hanbury Hall.

The photos didn't do this place justice, it was beautiful . It was so quiet and relaxing and Tony and Rosemary were quick to respond to anything I asked, I would definitely stay here again

I had a birthday weekender with friends and the apartment is really lovely and suited us perfectly. Not just clean, but comfortable too with everything you need. The host is great and helpful. It all made the stay so much more enjoyable. 100% would recommend.

what a great location, so peaceful and quiet. the space was quirky but comfortable and made the short stay quite entertaining. The grounds were very well maintained and it was a pleasure to walk around.

We loved our stay here! We would highly recommend, staff were really friendly Sad times reception and in the pool! The pool is lovely and we had it all to ourselves. Highly recommend and super convenient for the national arboretum museum and would recommend a visit to Barton marina if you are that way for lunch. The bar was a little pricey, £17 for 2 gin and tonics! That’s the only grumble, still 5 stars ⭐️

Wow what a lovely place to stay! So relaxing lots to do and very clean! Sue and Tim are fantastic host nothing to much trouble for them they went above and beyond for us made a lovely Spider-Man cake for my boys birthday which we all Loved decorated the house with balloons ans banners really made us feel at home! Hot tub was amazing and the sauna and pool table my boys didn’t want to come home! Only regret we have is wished we book a longer stay and we will be defo booking again very soon for longer this time! House was perfect had everything u needed couldn’t have asked for a better little break away! The beds was so comfy and soft and my Little boy loved the hide out bed he thought it was great! Everything was just perfect lovely views nice and peaceful and sue and tim was there when ever we needed them very responsive! I feel so relaxed it’s just what we needed I have recommend it to loads of people as they seen my snaps chats and asked I can’t wait to book again! Corinne , Vinny x

Wow what a place. Every bit of it was perfect just as we imagined. The little girls loved every moment as it gave them the cottage feel they were thinking of. I must say the place is very well equipped, Justine has added small touches like towels, hand wash, shampoos, ear buds, candles. You don’t normally expect them but very well equipped. It literally feels like you’re at home, I’m glad we made this choice. There was an onsite sauna which we didn’t get to use but looked really cool. Maybe on our next visit we will get to use it.. The outdoor garden was magical, nice breezy, birds tweeting, just absolutely beautiful. Well done Justine to you and your partner for having a lovely place. Nice place to stay, rural area, lovely views. The place is spacious, well equipped. Nice fitness area. There’s a parking space close to the entrance and also electric charging available.

Me and my partner loved the property and the town. It was amazing and so relaxing. The fire in the living room was a lovely touch for them cold nights and the hot tub was lovely with a glass of vin. Will definitely be coming back for sure! Thank you x

We stayed here to celebrate my Dad’s 70th birthday as a family. The house is absolutely beautiful, it’s very clean and the interior suits the surroundings perfectly. The view of the water is stunning and so lovely to look at first thing in the morning! I would highly recommend. There’s also lots to do on site which is real bonus. We walked to the local pub, the Bakers Arms which we’d highly recommend for a short but pleasant walk. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Indeed Jamie and Sara's place, is different, full of mod cons, yet cozy and relatable. The sunsets from the vast windows were glorious and the array of games were both challenging and fun. The only minor drawback (though we found a solution) was that the stylish bathroom floors up stairs were too slippery after a (lovely) shower, so we used the down stairs one, in which the floor was more textured (and more older person friendly....) All in all a lovely experience. Thank you!

An ideal base for exploring the local surroundings on foot - very easy walking distance from the town centre and on to a wide selection of walking routes around the local area. With all you need for a relaxing stay and the added bonus of a sauna! Very good comms and local recommendations were good. As we had just done the Llangollen Round Richard very kindly extended our check-out time which was a very welcome gesture. I would definitely choose to stay here again!

Great location to explore mid Wales. perfect for a big group, although I would keep in mind most rooms have a bed on a mezzanine, incase you have people that would struggle with that. we went as a big family get together and was perfect for adults and kids. kitchen was good enough for big meals and the pump track 2 mins away was brilliant t for the kids.
