Well placed, 5 minutes walk to Sudeley Castle and just off the main street through Winchcombe. Unlimited access to the castle was a bonus. Both Winchcombe and Sudeley Castle are well worth a visit. Many walks from your doorstep so you don't need to use your car. Cafes, restaurants, pubs and takeaways available in the town. Accommodation very clean, and well equipped. Bolthole Retreats were very helpful when I had a query. Safe and roomy parking. Can highly recommend.

A lovely couple of days with my friend for my 50th Birthday. Was just perfect, not too far from places of interest either. Couldn’t have wished for a nicer place and location. Full of history!!

Fantastic stay and great location. The owners were very quick to respond when messaged and they very kindly gave us a tour of their farm which we loved. I would highly recommend. 😊

The exterior features a well-maintained garden with colorful plants and green grass, creating an inviting entryway. The roof is tiled, and the structure showcases a blend of rustic charm and elegance.

It was so quiet! The cottage was lovely and well provisioned. Despite being cold outside the cottage stayed warm at all times. It's a short walk to the centre of the lovely Cotswold town of Winchcombe which has plenty of good eateries and drinking places. We had a great weekend and we're glad we chose this cottage to stay in.

Oliver Cromwell, Sudeley Castle, Cotswolds

BrittRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We stayed as a small adult family of three and couldn't have loved the Oliver Cromwell apartment more. It felt homely and inviting, and in such beautiful surroundings. Loved the Christmas tree with lights in our living room - it was a beautifully festive touch! Parking is easy, and it is a very short and easy stroll into the centre of Winchcombe. The amenities in our apartment were fantastic, which made self-catering for some meals, so easy. We enjoyed drinks and meals at both the White Hart, and the Corner Cupboard, but have to say the hospitality and quality of food served at the Corner Cupboard was an absolute winner! Being January, we couldn't enjoy the complimentary access to Sudeley Castle, but we did manage to walk the park trails surrounding it, which were absolutely beautiful. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Church House is a taste of English heaven-- and the hosts are wonderful! We reserved and paid for two separate rooms to accommodate our group of three, and this stay was worth every British pound! If only we could have stayed longer....

Castle Gatehouse, Tower at Sudeley Castle

MikeRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Great location and such a cool experience staying in the gatehouse. Will definitely come back. If you have young kids the sleeping arrangements require some compromise but we made it work. The interior could do with a touch up, it was looking a little tired but that’s me being picky. Great place to stay and free entry to the castle is well worth it
The exterior of a historic stone structure features intricate architectural details such as pointed arches and tall windows. Lush greenery surrounds the building, with a tower visible in the background. The scene is set against a clear blue sky, enhancing the building's grandeur.

Just stayed for the weekend for my sisters hen party. What can I say it was the most beautiful grounds You can imagine. We had the amazing weather and sitting in the hot tub with a glass of wine it was like being in the South of France. The views are out of a post card. We had the most amazing time. The venue is so gorgeous and like nothing I’ve ever seen before. It’s really unique. Scott is so accommodating and helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time thank you.
