House vacation rentals in River Dart

The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is great for exploring the whole area. Helen was flexible with arrival and check in which made the holiday less stressful with small kids! Brixham is a lovely town to stay. The site would benefit from the new clubhouse pool & bar which was opening imminently, which we missed.

Clean, cozy and well equipped (kitchen, etc). Peaceful location and the extra amenities were great! (Swimming pool, etc). We would stay again.

Mewstone is an outstanding property and Maria is a top notch host. The property description tells it all accurately except it understates the beautiful views across Dartmouth from the upper windows and balcony (which is a real sun trap). Maria told us the property was being cleaned early and she kindly offered us access from 12 noon which was handy. Oh and it was very clean. All the furniture, fittings, appliances, beds etc are of high quality. We had been told in advance that the shared pool heater had broken down which was a shame and Maria was very apologetic and keen to make amends. She is a very friendly and responsive host who genuinely wants her guests to enjoy their time at Mewstone. 2 minutes walk to the market square and shops and restaurants, another couple to the riverside. With the bonus of two parking spaces given the central location. As a couple with three young adults we loved Mewstone and are already talking about returning.

Absolutely stunning place. Louise was the perfect host answering every question I asked. The pool was a great hit with us adults and of course the children. The farm tour was lovely and Louise was very understanding when my little boy had a nose bleed whilst feeding the calves. I would highly recommend a stay at The Grange!

Great home with outstanding facilities and location. Pool is a highlight, and hot tub right next to it which is great for when the kids get chilly! Fantastic playroom for them too. Boiling water tap for grown ups teas and coffee with good indoor and outdoor seating areas. Fun for all the family!

One of our best airbnb experiences to date. Warm and welcoming hosts who made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. The house was spotless and felt brand new, so many thoughtful details were included! Only one warning….you might fall in love with their beautiful dog Alfie!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse and Sophia was a very kind and responsive host (eg we asked if they had a blue tooth speaker we could borrow and it was brought straight round - Thankyou!). We enjoyed the large sociable kitchen space with the comforting Aga to come home to. The garden space was very peaceful and we had great fun in the games room playing table tennis, table football and pool on our first night. We also made use of the swimming pool and playing boules in the garden. The house is large and comfortable for groups and families and has a Manor House feel to it which we loved. Thankyou for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful apartment, views were outstanding. Lovely watching the trawlers, lifeboat and yachts. Very clean, everything you need is in the apartment. Double bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you for having us.

Luke is a fabulous host! Not only is the cottage idyllic, peaceful and charming, but Luke left us some goodies for our arrival. These included a bottle of fizz, some delicious bread and eggs from the chickens he keeps on his small holding. There was loads of good recommendations for walks and activities within the cottage and Luke trod a wonderful balance between giving us our space and being there to offer advice and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside!

Bar Lodge is just stunning. The accommodation and decor were both great but it was the views from every level that it made it so very special (and a very friendly and inquisitive robin). Being on the south west coast path, we were expecting good walking but the friendliness of the tractor and ferry guys and other locals we met meant every outing was even better. Annie was proactive and accommodating from beginning to end and the property was clean and beautifully presented when we arrived. Thank you, we can't wait to come back!

Beautiful home in peaceful surroundings. We booked for a friends wedding in Ugborough but decided to book for a few extra days ahead of the wedding. We are so glad we did, the location was ideal for us with everything within 30 minutes drive that we wanted to visit. Anyone we saw onsite were always friendly and the home was lovely. The home was well equipped and perfect for what we needed. The garden area outside was so peaceful and a perfect area to switch off! Julie was in touch on the morning of check in and everything was easy. We’d happily stay again when visiting the area. Thank you!

It was a short trip to a family wedding and was ideally situated and was a lovely peaceful place to stay. We love Devon and I wish we could have stayed longer. However, for longer holidays a place which takes a dog would be needed.

We have just spent the most wonderful long weekend at Steppes. It is the most wonderful house with an amazing view which was perfect for a big family get together. Coffee on the deck in the morning sunshine, looking at everything going on in the harbour and the view out to see was just incredible. Thank you for letting us enjoy this wonderful house.

The house was lovely; very roomy and light, nicely decorated, and clutter free. The lounge was extremely comfortable with a large TV. We only used the main bedroom but the super kingsize bed was lovely. The wardrobe was enormous with plenty of storage space and hangers. We didn’t have time to sit out and enjoy the lovely garden sadly, but it is quite verdant with lots of mature plants. There is a Spar mini market a short walk away, and the house is very handy for the centre of Totnes. This is definitely a house that we will return to when visiting our daughter who lives locally.

Just got back from a lovely few days break in this beautiful cottage. James is a very welcoming and friendly host and along with the information book in the cottage we had everything we needed to know. The cottage was just perfect and the outside and surrounding garden is like a scene from a fairytale. If you’re looking for peace and relaxation , then this is definitely the place. Inside the cottage , there are lots of beautiful original features alongside more modern amenities. Everything that you could possibly need to make your stay more comfortable has been carefully thought about by the hosts. It’s in a great location to get to places like Torquay, Dartmouth and Brixham. All in all a fabulous place to stay for some much needed R&R.

The place is even better than the pics. Bed really comfy and the space is fab and really nicely decorated as well. We come to Kingsbridge every year and this is 100% the best place we’ve stayed in. 100% will be back!

The pictures don't do justice to the property. Is better than it looks. Spacious rooms, confy beds , cosy furniture, friendly host ...all reviews are spot-on . Is not possible to give more than 5 stars ✨️. There is remote controlled canopy which we used it (was warm but raining for 30 min )and enjoyed the whole afternoon without issues and I am underlining that because U can see it in the picture but there is a table with umbrella and won't pay attention to the rest(when got there found upgraded table ,bigger, square with gravity chairs) No words...we felt straight away like home. We had the most amazing week with our 4 boys at The Old Guard in May. We have been renting various properties in Hope Cove for many years. Wendy's property is now our absolute favourite!! Not only did we have fabulous weather but the location is just perfect for getting out on the kayaks etc The warm outdoor shower is brilliant for when you get back! The balcony is very large and a great space! The views from the balcony are spectacular and the sunsets incredible. The kitchen had everything you need. They utility area with washer and dryer is very useful staying with a family. The property was really well designed & clean and comfortable to stay in. Wendy had said the parking would be tight, but we got our 2 vehicles in no problem just a bit of time to go back and forth and one is a long wheelbase Mercedes Vito! We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back again! Thank you Wendy for all your messages and prompt replies when we had any questions.

We stayed in Candy's farmhouse annex for a long weekend with my parents-in-law, whilst down for a family event in Totnes. The location was perfect - such a short drive to Totnes, whilst being surrounded by wonderful countryside! We were given a great tour on arrival, of the annex and the huge garden, by Candy's husband Phil. The children felt immediately at home, and very much enjoyed exploring the garden and bouncing on the trampoline. The annex itself was spacious and perfectly comfortable, with plenty of hot water for great showers and heating so that we never felt cold, even when the evenings were chilly. We had a wonderful time playing boardgames in the evenings, and Phil was kind enough to bring over some extra games and comic books for the children, which they greatly appreciated. We had a really lovely time and would definitely stay there again in future! Thank you, Candy and Phil, for making us feel so welcome in your lovely home!
