Ivywood cottage is medieval in age, but contemporary in design, with luxurious finishes and fine detailing. The house is in a unique rural setting and was once part of the Gawdy Hall Estate. The house sits next to a beautiful 15th century church, set within a 3 acre church yard. Glorious and plentiful Waveney Valley walks in all directions. Guests have complete privacy and run of the house, including a private garden. We respect our guest's privacy, and are on call for any advice or assistance that you may need during your visit. The cottage is a short picturesque drive from the coastal gems of Southwold and Aldeburgh. Harleston and Bungay are quintessential English towns with charming independent stores, delis, family butchers, bistro cafes, pubs, restaurants, and tea shops. It's the countryside, most people drive. Diss is the mainline station between London and Norwich and is just 15 minutes by car. Cycling is very popular and the cottage is on a regular time trial route. Buses are very reliable and the village is well serviced making it easy to hop between Suffolk and Norfolk villages. There is fabulous walking from the cottage. Located in the Waveney Valley paths such as Angles Way which follows the Waveney river valley are right on your doorstep.

Bright and airy cottage with modern interior in peaceful village just 3 miles from Southwold. Situated off the A12 for easy access to RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich and the Norfolk Broads and only 1 mile from Latitude music festival. Our popular "gastropub" local is only 100m from your door, and a well-stocked village shop with Suffolk-sourced produce and all the essentials is just opposite. Perfectly placed holiday home for town & beach but tucked away from main roads & ideal to explore southwold. We have a sunny courtyard with bbq & seating area where you can park your car. The front door opens into an open plan lounge kitchen/diner with a seperate utility leading to a single bedroom. Upstairs to the left is a separate family bathroom and to the right a double bedroom with sliding privacy panels & it’s own en-suite then a further larger bedroom with zip n link king or twin beds.
