Rural Cottage, Hot Tub, 10 Mins from Bury St Eds

LorettaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I booked Swallows Roost for the night before my wedding and the evening of. The accommodation was amazing. It was perfect for me, my bridal party and suppliers to get ready and feel relaxed and at home. Lucy and her family were so accommodating. Everything was stress free and easy. The downloadable guide was amazing, everything was covered, even the things I hadn’t considered including where the local EV chargers were. We can’t wait to book to stay again to spend our wedding anniversary next year! We would recommend Swallows Roost to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful stay in sunny Suffolk.

Beautiful cottage, looked just like the pictures and much more spacious once we got inside. Lovely garden and the hot tub was a bonus. Our dog loved sunbathing on the grass outside and had loads of nature reserves dotted around for us to visit and take the dog on a walk. 10/10 would definitely recommend

We had a perfect weekend break accommodation as described 👌. Joanna left homemade brownies that lasted all of 5 mins 😁 milk, eggs, yoghurts, vase of flowers, cream, and cookies all made the first impression Perfect. We walked throughout the large grounds used the jacuzzi, games room with toilet which had sky tv on a large screen pool table tennis table football and ice hockey game, lots of seating to watch. Very quiet and secluded area 20 25 mins from beccles local pub unfortunately we did not use. Farm shop on site with local fresh produce and everything thing you might need if you have forgotten anything. At night no light contamination so on a clear night we could see a sky full of stars planets etc. Overall perfect place Perfect accommodations and perfect guest 👌 A1.

Romantic retreat, magical garden

ChristineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Roderick and Claire couldn’t have been more helpful in making sure we had the right directions , they couldn’t be there to greet us but let us know and then popped round to say hello. The cottage itself was perfect for our needs. I had everything there I needed to cook with and the bathroom was small but cosy and clean. Words fail me to describe their truly stunning garden and I did frequent wanderings around it and each time fell in love with it that little bit more. Will be visiting again next year for sure. Only down side was the weather which couldn’t be helped and on the upside gave us the opportunity to explore the area, otherwise I think I would have spent the entire time in the garden!!

A beautiful & quirky 16th century Suffolk cottage

VanessaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at Meadow Cottage. It's quite quirky, with it's low ceilings and tiny door to one of the bedrooms, but it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The meadow and wildlife pond are really beautiful and the back garden over looks Suffolk fields. It's so peaceful and relaxing. Communication was great and we really didn't have any problems at all. We were also able to have a later check out which was so helpful. Would highly recommend a stay!

Cosy cottage in Suffolk countryside

WilsonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Amanda is an excellent host. She is rightly proud of the cottage and shows it in its best light. All of the cottage facilities, fixtures and fittings were very good quality and our stay was enhanced by this. If and when we return to the area we will hope to stay again. The folder of local amenities was used throughout the week, providing valuable information to strangers such as ourselves. Amanda made contact when we were settling in, and again when we were leaving, her attention to our needs made us very comfortable. Thank you.

No77 Pretty Cottage in the heart of Lavenham

We couldn't have been happier with this lovely spotlessly clean cottage. Jayne was a very responsive host and the cottage felt like home from the moment we arrived. It was ideal for us to explore the local area. Lavenham is such a special place. Lots of excellent places to eat and go for coffee and cake. The church is spectacular and so are all the buildings. The Guild Hall is well worth a visit. We would recommend this cottage to future guests as an ideal base to explore the stunning area.

Grade 2 Listed Country Cottage near Heritage Coast

MartinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We wish we could keep this place to ourselves, The best kept cleanest property we have stayed in for a very long time. Sue and Richard are very responsive and the Cake! Yes Cake! Sue baked was terrific. The surroundings were perfect for us, Fields to the front across the lane and open fields to the back. Pub is about a ten minute walk down the lane (it serves brilliant food) you can also walk through the field via a path which is nice on a beautiful day. The neighbours are very friendly and Hector the dog was brilliant. I seriously have nothing bad to say about Sue and Richards place except we had to leave...at the end of our stay. Yes this is a cottage that we will return to if not buy

We’ve had a lovely stay in Suffolk and staying at The Dairy certainly played its part in the success of our short break. Exceptional cottage by the coast - Felixstowe

SarahRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The cottage was beautifully appointed, very comfortable and well equipped. I think it was even better than the photos! Everything was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The garden was lovely to sit in and secure for my dog. Nick advised us on the quieter dog walks and we had some lovely walks in the countryside and along the river, with some stunning views. I found that all the dog walkers I met were very considerate and put their dogs on leads even before they realised that mine was reactive. This made the walks much more relaxed than usual. Whilst I didn’t use my car all weekend, as it was just me and my dog, along with the walks there are many things to see and do in this area. I would love to come back with my husband and explore it further. I would definitely recommend the cottage.

Briarways cottage is a beautiful property in the village of Hinderclay - it's an extremely peaceful location yet handily placed for Bury St Edmonds and Norwich. Helen provided details of many local places to visit, and there are numerous walks from the cottage to local villages, churches, a windmill and Hinderclay Fen. The kitchen is well stocked and so makes self catering easy. Cottage has good/reliable internet connection.
