Vacation rentals with lake access in Suffolk

A lovely house tucked away in the forest. Plenty of places to walk to and not far to drive to the coast. Great house and the hot tub is lovely, was running when we arrived. The WiFi was not working a lot of the time unfortunately and limited phone signal but always a good excuse to read a book.

We had a great weekend David was easy to contact and provided useful information and recommendations via text and in the lodge. The lodge had plenty of outside seating and use of the kayaks was a great way to explore the marina. The lodge was a good size with all we needed for a weekend stay. Plenty of lovely places to visit nearby and couple of good pubs only a mile away.

We had a great weekend, lodge is very well equipped for everything you could need. Very impressive location. Cannot fault it.

Spacious, very clean accommodation with all we needed. It was a comfortable set up for our long weekend. Very well located by the marina with many long walks for our dog but also close enough to restaurants, pubs and shops. A enjoyable stay.

This lodge is fabulous, on the waterfront, with kayaks in a marina development. The interior is beautifully finished and lots of helpful accessories provided saving hassle - bin liners, dishwashwr tablets etc. The bbq and firepit were favourites of mine, made it seem like the great parts of a camping trip, getting away from it all and fun downtime but with 5* accomodation for comfort. A lot of care has gone into the design and presentation of the home including a beautifully planted garden.

a lovely location and property. Great it has a car charging point. Worked really well for our disabled friend. really well equipped, even included doves for cooking! brilliant utility / drying room. At checkin Caroline, the owner, was worried about car noise from the road, we weren't. it was not an issue for us and she says the road is soon to be closed from one end anyway. Lovely log burner, house got too warm!! All in all a lovely experience, would go again

We had a magical long weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday with family and friends. The house was even nicer than the photos, spotlessly clean, very private, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and huge sunny fenced garden so the dogs could roam freely, even a swing tucked away in the woodland area. Sherrylyn responded quickly and was very helpful but also left us to enjoy a private weekend. There was a big BBQ, we cooked for 10, and a large living room with lots of big comfy sofas. A really wonderful house and garden and host!

What a beautiful cottage, set in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. A totally relaxing holiday, with everything we needed. Thank you Penny for the fabulous cake!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Apartment. Sarah was incredibly welcoming, kind, and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The apartment itself was spotless, well-equipped, and had such a cozy atmosphere. It felt like a home away from home! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you again for such a great experience!

Swan view is a lovely place to stay. Great space. Easily walkable to restaurants. Very clean and just as described/pictured. Matt and Michaela are great hosts. They have put together a binder with everything you need to know about the apartment and the area. They are also quick to respond.

Very nice stay. I was there for a week for a work and everything that you could require was already there. Nice and cosy to make you feel right at home. Would definitely stay again

We were made very welcome when we arrived. The annex is lovely, well equipped, really comfy bed and beautiful bathroom. very peaceful getaway.

Sue was a great host. The bed was great & we slept so well. A peaceful & relaxing home with a lovely view. It was very clean & well stocked with basics aswell as some extra kindly left out by Sue. My only suggestion for Sue would be to supply a bread knife, a colander & some more wine glasses & tumblers, otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our break.

The Cart Lodge was absolutely perfect. The living space was comfortable and spacious, the kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were very comfy, and the shower had really good water pressure. There was lots of natural light in the property from all the windows, and the views across the countryside were just beautiful. The local treats left for us on arrival were a lovely surprise, and Angela was a very friendly and communicative host. We would definitely recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed the 3 adjoined cottages as it gave extra space and privacy too. The games room is inspired - a refuge for older children or adults with table tennis, table football, a radio and outdoor games but an independent goal for our toddlers too with gocarts and balls. Walking routes from the door meant no travelling by car for us so we'll have to visit again to see some of the many sights we've yet to visit! There are quite a lot of stairs between all the cottages which the children loved but put their parents on guard! The views the hillside afforded though were magnificent. And the animals on the working farm were a source of delight. Well equipped, Kate was on hand should we have any queries.

Stunning cottage in stunning grounds of a stately home / manor. The cottage is in a private orchard so you have a lovely very large green / garden with the accompanying birdsong to enjoy to yourselves! There are no other cottages so the grounds are private and wonderful to explore on foot too. The kids brought their bikes for some cycling on the attached woodland paths and lovely for morning or evening walks. The cottage itself is modern, spotless and well heated, lovely roll top bath and walk in showers. The cottage from outside to in is all one floor so great for our baby who was crawling (there is one step between the kitchen and living room). Hosts were very responsive and welcoming.

A wonderful Easter break in Drover's cottage. Beautifully-appointed space, roomy and very peaceful, we loved the dog walks from the door & the friendly locals we met. The surrounding countryside is stunning and very accessible, but equally we enjoyed the proximity of Bury St Edmunds, probably one of the most dog-friendly places we've ever been to! We'll definitely return, thanks for a lovely time, Sara.

A lovely place to stay, and the boating lake was magical. As a caveat, the garden is shared and a little more overlooked than the pictures suggest, but overall we really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

We had a great Easter break, it was quiet and met all our needs to be able to walk each day and not really need to get into the car. The layout was ideal for us and the 2 dogs and though there are people around you we felt private and did not hear any of the neighbours, the kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was very comfortable and so was the bed which was a plus. Would definitely consider using this as a base again.

We felt privileged to be in such an amazing place. Very comfortable Cottage in beautiful grounds. So quiet and peaceful. The surrounding countryside is spectacular and we enjoyed several really lovely walks in the area.
