Honestly, we were really taken aback with what we had for what we paid - my double room was lovely - really spacious and the bed was really comfortable. We were only there for a couple of days so I didn't use the ample storage in there. There was an en suite bathroom there - with a bath! Lush. Toilets had sashes on to say they'd been anti-bacterialised. The smaller bedroom (with 2 single beds) had enough room - we only used one bed, but we put the dog's crate on the other - owner and dog slept fine in there. But the real treat was the bread, biscuits, jam, butter and milk that was there when we got there. That was such a lovely touch. In fact, because we weren't there long, we didn't buy supplies - coffee and various teas were also supplied. There were ice pops in the freezer too! Thank you Suzanne, for that. The boiler was easy to work - for those of us from the South West, that's really important - because it's much warmer here. Brilliant - thank you! We intend to come back.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay with our 2 boys and 2 Border Terriers. The house is in the most perfect location, right by the fish and chip shop and within a few minutes of the beach. We were incredibly lucky with the weather so we made the most of sitting in the front garden with a beer and snacks! the dogs both loved sitting at the front gate watching everyone walk by! We found it easy to park at the village hall and parked outside the house to unpack. We found the house very comfortable, with lots of room. The beds were very comfortable. We recommend breakfast at the local pub! and of course fish and chips from the chippy. Thanks also for all the DVDs and the Playstation was a hit with our boys. Overall a really relaxing stay and we will definitely book again.

Enjoyed our week stay at chalet at California Sands. The chalet was spacious, clean, modern and well equipped. The site itself was nice, we used the shop, fish and chip shop, swimming pool once and trike ride around the site. Would definitely stay here again. Beach further away than I thought but a lovely sandy Norfolk beach.

We had a lovely week staying here. The chalet is very comfortable, warm, with fully functional kitchen and bathroom plus comfortable beds. The area is nice a quiet and the beach is a short walk away via a private gate and you can enjoy some lovely walks and if you are up for a very early start some beautiful sunrises. Morrisons supermarket is not far away and there is plenty to see and do around the area. Dawn made us feel very welcome and we felt very privileged to be able to stay in her home.

Thimble Cottage was compact but had everything we needed and made for an excellent stay; only a short walk from the beach and easy access to the amenities we needed - with very good, fresh fish and chips at the end of the road perfect if arriving later on in the day. As was described (and we were aware of in advance), the staircase at the cottage is particularly steep, so it could be awkward if you have impaired mobility or balance but this did not impact our stay and formed part of the cottage's unique character.

I would recommend the house, it's in a fab location near a beautiful beach and local amenities, feels homely and is good value. Note there's no iron so you might want to take one with you! The day bed room can be bright early in the spring/summer mornings (due to no blind/curtain on one of the windows).
