Very cute place with a great view

My husband and I had a great stay at this cute little home. Everything was extremely clean and decorated to feel luxurious. We really enjoyed being so close to the water/beaches, 15 minute drive to shopping and the neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful. We took full advantage of the hot tub and it was our absolute favorite amenity offered, but we really loved the screened in porch as well. We would definitely come back to this area and consider staying here again! My only notes would be to add a few more pavers around the hot tub to make getting in and out in your bare feet more comfortable, and maybe a larger shower head to make rinsing long hair out easier. Overall, this trip was exactly what we were looking for to have a quiet get away for our anniversary and this place made it easy to do so!

I loved the place! It felt like a home away from home. They had EVERYTHING you need and more. Everything is clearly labeled. I enjoyed the hot tub and the privacy of the space. The beds were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in with an AnB. I loved the decor—simple but clean. There were more than enough linens. I will definitely book again!

We stayed here for two days in April, and it was great. The direct access to a bit of beach was awesome. Our kids spent hours searching for shells. The view of the bay through the trees from the house was lovely. We ate our meals on the deck, and enjoyed the hot tub. All around a great spot!

Beautiful hideaway in the middle of the snowy woods and only a quick drive to the grocery store, restaurants and wineries! Loved relaxing by the fire and enjoying the scenery. This place is the perfect weekend getaway to decompress and enjoy nature. Also spotlessly clean, especially given it’s dog friendly! Cant recommend enough!

Our trip to The Half Shell Haven was great! The place was clean, extremely well stocked, and included many extras! We had crazy weather the first two days, but we had plenty to do at the house. My boys loved being on the water and the game room and my daughter loved the hot tub and bicycling. My daughters service dog enjoyed a nice reprieve and seemed so happy. We had a great time, and were honestly sad to go! If we find ourselves back up in Virginia we will definitely stay here! Thank you for the care and attention to detail to ensure a great trip!

We stayed here on a warm weekend in late March and it was perfect! The house is on a quiet road with flowering trees everywhere and conveniently close to town. The interior space was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was perfectly quiet at night. We also enjoyed the outdoor area with chairs to sit and relax around a fire pit. All in all a fantastic find!

Off the road enough to make it perfect for little ones, including trail to walk around a bit.

Jennifer's cottage is great! It is quiet, peaceful, and private but still right in the middle of everything - a 30 second walk to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Would also be really convenient for folks visiting the Naval Academy or St Johns. We had a great time and will almost certainly be back.

Very peaceful and lots of nature and animals to see

We loved the house; cozy, nicely decorated, with many pieces of original art that really added character. The kitchen is well stocked for those who like to cook. The location right on the water was wonderful, and Nancy provided kayaks, which we took advantage of. Our dog was beside himself with so much room to run. Nancy’s daughter and family live next door, and we spent quite a few hours enjoying conversation and local knowledge with them. We would go back again.

Billy's has become our hideaway from Northern Virginia over the last 3 years. Love the peace and quiet and natural surroundings. If you love to hike, there are numerous trails to visit and, of course, excellent breweries and wineries nearby as well.

This was our second stay with Bob and Lolly in Tall Timbers, and it did not disappoint! Immersed in books and history, this quaint cottage was the perfect getaway. We are looking forward to our next visit!

A beautiful home in a peaceful and relaxing setting. The home was well cared for and very clean. As soon as we arrived we were excited to sit out back around the fire pit and enjoy the evening stars. We enjoyed all of the amenities the home had to offer. Lots of space to walk and enjoy the outdoors. The host was very responsive to all our questions prior to booking and all of their instructions were easy to follow. Thank you for the great experience.

Incredibly quaint, gorgeous views, nice little reprieve from city craziness. Felt like a true B&B with breakfast add-ons included. Loved being so close to the Surry ferry--perfect for a day trip into Williamsburg.

We had a wonderful stay at Talita's cottage! The space was cozy and just as described - super clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. Our toddler especially loved being able to play outside and explore the open space, which made the whole experience even more relaxing for us. Talita is an excellent host, she offered wonderful recommendations for nearby restaurants and places to visit. Her communication was great and thoughtful throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay here again!

Cute, clean and very comfortable cottage with beautiful bay front large lot. Screened in porch was huge and definitely the place to be along with a lovely beach side covered wooden shelter with brand new rocking Adirondack chairs for relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous view. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate during our stay ( rainy, cold and windy ) but we could still enjoy the view from inside! Fun towns to explore within 30 minutes and good restaurants with great seafood. ( Best crab cake ever at The Oyster Farm in Cape Charles and best mussels at Mallards in Onancock. ) Would definitely rent this cottage again if back in the area.

This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable, plus close to so many hikes in Shenandoah national park. The hosts really thought of everything, from coffee to cookware and even having the fire pit filled with brush so we could easily have a fire. The location is nestled in the mountainside and is SO quiet, coffee overlooking the mountains and hills with nothing but the sounds of nature was therapeutic. We are already talking about planning our next trip back!

My husband and I traveled here for a night away from our children and work responsibilities. We were looking for some place that was private and on the water. This place was both and it did not disappoint! The loft was cozy and spacious and we loved looking out the windows at the water and rain. It was very clean and there were plenty of towels and blankets and other special touches. Janelle communicated with us ahead of time to make sure she was ready for our arrival and she was kind and responsive throughout the process. We also found it easy to get into Easton for dinner at The Stewart, which was a treat, and then return back to the cabin. I would stay here again in a heartbeat -- but hopefully for longer next time.

If you are looking for a place to disrupt busy life & a place to chill with a waterfront view, Harris Cove Cottages Bed 'N Boat is just what you are looking for! (Harris Creek is a tidal creek tributary in Chesapeake Bay.) We had a cozy & relaxing stay in a waterfront cottage. The accommodation got the basic needs taken care of. Catching Blue Claw Crabs was plentiful from both going out on a boat & from their docks. We brought our own crab traps & made use of their ice machine for keeping our live catches fresh then used their steam station to prepare our crabs. They provide use of their kayaks, canoes, & even have life vests (bring your own for young kids) free of charge. They offer power boat rentals, or you can bring your own & use their dock. Our young child absolutely enjoyed exploring & already talks about returning. Family fun time! Would we revisit? Absolutely & looking forward to it! 💗 Alexander & Jamie are excellent & friendly hosts offering a serene oasis! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am so grateful to have spent my sister’s birthday weekend at Joy and Richard’s cottage. Their home was beautiful, the property stunning. Richard was responsive and kind, and he made sure we had lots of firewood for our rainy, cozy weekend in. I hope to return.
