Luxury Downtown 3BR w King Suite + Backyard + Park
Jeff is an amazing host! He was extremely understanding and helpful throughout my stay with my family. He ensured that the window of communication never closed, and that he checked in on us at all times. The home was exactly like the images provided, and the space was more than enough for my family of 4.

Beach minutes away with 3 beds & 2 living rooms
Ryan's listing was perfect for our family. Just off the beaten path in a quiet small neighborhood. The private fenced in back yard was a plus. The Wrightsville was just a few minutes away. The arboretum was just a walk down the street. My wife and daughters really enjoyed walking to it and visiting. The place was clean with lots of space for everyone to do their own thing. highly recommend and would love to visit again.

2BR/1B cottage minutes to downtown, beach
We had a great stay at this cozy cottage! The home was clean, well-stocked, and exactly as described. The two bedrooms were perfect for our group, and the beds were super comfortable. We really appreciated the quiet neighborhood—peaceful and safe, but still just a short drive to downtown Wilmington and the beach. Check-in was smooth, and the host was responsive and friendly throughout our stay. It felt like a home away from home, and we’d absolutely stay here again next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

Cabin rentals in Wilmington

Get-away Cabin in Surf City w/ Loft and Parking
Thank you for everything

Modern Treehouse, close to downtown and beach
We had a great couple days staying here! The treehouse is super private, comfortable, and nicely furnished. We enjoyed happy hour on the porch and walked down to Indochine for dinner (highly recommend). We will definitely stay again in the future!

Deluxe Loft Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay and were surprised with some things that were not listed. There is a very pretty walking trail through the trees that goes around the entire campground, although a little tricky to locate the start of the trail. There is a small dog park. There is a swimming pool that was not open yet but looked refreshing. They had corn hole boards set up. There is fire wood available for purchase during the office hours and available to purchase by cash box or mobile payment after hours. The bed was really comfortable. We only stayed one night but enjoyed it.

Shipping Container Cabin Couples Paradise!
great use of the space, i had to stay another nite, host was very easy to work with, thanks

Marina view one bedroom cottage close to amenities
Our cabin was not clean at check in. One message and they remedied it right away. The cabin is well worn but had everything 2 people needed for the weekend. Bring your own shampoo, etc. there was none of that. The location is fantastic, a short walk to the ferry and restaurant. The golf cart let me explore the whole island while my husband was running the Badwater 50. We will absolutely stay here again. The entire island is magical and everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. Thankful for such a responsive staff and such a beautiful location.

Hidden Oasis: 1 mi to the Beach

Greenfield Cabin and Guest House
Cozy Cabin was perfect for our family. Very clean and nice place. We used the Get Away house as well that was available during our stay. It was the perfect set up. And the fenced in back yard was very nice. We will return in the future for a future stay.

Welcome to Shangri-Log: the log cabin by the beach

Apartment rentals in Wilmington

Stunning Sunsets, Walkable Condo, Covered Parking
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bob's place! It was just as advertised, clean and welcoming. The balcony over the river is where we put in the most hours, just watching the changes in the river, the various boats, and people-watching on the river walk. Everything we did was within minutes of the condo...great restaurants and shopping. Bob provided plenty of info and recommendations for eating and sightseeing. We were there on Memorial Day and could easily see the USS North Carolina lit up in red, white and blue. Even though it was cloudy/rainy most of the time, the awning on the balcony kept us dry and comfortable. A couple of time we had questions for Bob and he was immediately responsive and helpful. It was just the relaxing getaway we were hoping for! We would recommend this spot anytime for 2 guests!

Vintage Beach Bungalow Surf Shack
This Airbnb has so much charm and character! The kitchen was stocked with all the spices and condiments we needed, especially for cooking seafood. There are so many little activities included. For example; a sound system, card games, and outdoor equipment (chairs, skim board, shovel). Sam is a wonderful host, very attentive. One evening, a small situation came up and he responded to our message immediately. In fact, he showed up to help at 11 pm! We truly enjoyed our stay. Wrightsville is such a special place. I highly recommend staying here if you are ever in town!

Clark Hill Heights.
Daniel was great! Answered all my questions and was super quick with his responses. The house was immaculate I almost felt bad touching stuff. I really enjoyed my stay and I am impressed with the cleanliness of the home! Would definitely stay again!

Hist. Downtown Gem: River View, King Bed, Parking
Was in Wilmington for a 5 day work trip. Great place to break up the monotony of staying in a hotel every week. The location is perfect and the vibes of the unit and building are immaculate. Would 100% book again if I find myself in Wilmington for work or personal travel!

Scarlets’ Downtown Studio
Harry's "Scarlet" studio was so quaint and cozy for our weekend stay. The bed was perfect and the decor was gorgeous. Scarlet was about a 15 minute walk from the river and the neighborhood was quite peaceful. If you're looking for a pleasant and comfortable studio suite for your visit to Wilmington, then look no further.

River Retreat
This place was beautiful and the right size for the 3 of us. We came from a little over 3 hours away and checked in very late. The check in process was extremely easy. We did not need to contact the host for anything because everything was there that we needed.

Restored Historic Apartment: Quiet Downtown Street
Wilmington is just an amazing town and Christina’s home is the cherry on top. We loved our stay at her home! The unit is immaculate, well stocked, and very comfortable. The balcony in the rain was a highlight for us. Historic downtown was a few minutes, pleasant walk and I highly recommend checking out Hidden Grounds Coffee shop. I can’t recommend Christina’s house enough and definitely carved out some time for Wilmington.

The Overlook Penthouse. sleeps 9 w/rooftop patio

Your guide to Wilmington
Introduction
Wilmington is a colonial city with a cosmopolitan heart. Officially established in 1739, the city is integrated with the Cape Fear River and has a popular 1.75-mile Riverwalk, considered one of the best in the country. But it’s Wilmington’s proximity to the Atlantic Ocean that lures many visitors. Bordered by 31 miles of shoreline defining Cape Fear, the city boasts a trio of popular beaches whose recreational activities draw vacationers from all over. Downtown Wilmington’s cobblestone streets and pre-Victorian architecture are reminders of the city’s long and colorful past.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Wilmington
Given its location along the Gulf Stream, Wilmington experiences a humid subtropical climate characterized by incredibly mild winters (highs in the mid-50s Fahrenheit) and hot, sticky summers (highs in the lower 90s). It seldom snows during the cold months, and when it does, it’s generally light and melts quickly. More notable for Wilmington is its lengthy spring, beginning in late February and lasting through May, with a beautiful show of flowers. With summer comes heat and humidity, together pushing Wilmington’s heat index toward 100 degrees at its peak, driving many visitors to the beaches. The push and pull of warm Atlantic Ocean waters and the city’s geography in relation to storm system tracks puts it in prime tropical-storm territory. If you’re staying in one of the Wilmington’s vacation rentals during hurricane season, which peaks in September, make sure you pay close attention to local weather.

Explore on your own, or book one of the neighborhood’s many popular walking tours or horse-drawn carriages to learn as you go.
Airlie Gardens
To get an authentic taste of Southern scenery, book a ticket to Airlie Gardens on the banks of Bradley Creek, tucked onto Wilmington’s northeast side. Self-guided tours and bird hikes wind through an expansive 67 acres of paths, lakes, and landscaped gardens.
