Vacation rentals with a patio in Northumberland County

My adult son said this was the best airbnb pick I'd made over the years! We rested AND had fun switching between pickleball, basketball, putting and kayaking. Kitchen was the perfect size and had all the basics for cooking a full meal. Beds were comfortable, roomy and every room had great views of the water and property. We loved everything about our stay

Great bang for your buck. Right in the center on the island and near the docks so very easy to get to. Travis was proactive and responsive.

Lovely place to stay. Beautiful view, very peaceful. Sitting on the dock and watching the sunset became a favorite past time. Mary was so kind to allow us to use her patio to have my son over for food and games. It was a truly lovely stay. More amenities than any place I'd been to before. My only note was that the curtains in the primary bedroom are just sheer cloth, so the sun comes in at 5 am to wake you up, but that can be remedied with a mask, and changing in the bathroom was fine for me. The view is mostly wooded, so I wasn't concerned much about people seeing in, but I wasn't comfortable changing at night with the light on. The other thing to note is that the bedroom door does not lock from the outside, and there is access to the downstairs apartment from the house upstairs. It did not bother me, I took my purse when I left and didn't have anything to lock up anyway. Honestly this is a 5 star place to stay, and the little things are just that.

Jessica's basement apartment was very nice and had above and beyond amenities for the price. She was responsive and friendly. I'm happy with the unit however the thermostat is located in the host's living area so you will have to coordinate a temperature with her but she was always friendly and accommodating. I would happily book with her at this location again.

Kelly's place was immaculate. Kelly went out of her way to help us with all of our things. We had a boat dock. Kelly had everything we needed from water to shore power. This is a one of a kind place to stay, very clean, furnished beautifully and the view is outstanding. Kelly great job all the way around . Thanks for having my fishing team. Thanks Donald

Brittany’s waterfront home in Colonial Beach was a beautiful and peaceful retreat for me, my husband, and our 2 year old son. The space is beautiful and clean and offers lovely views of the sparkling water and beach just steps from the front door. We loved having beach days and visiting the pool, and nearby restaurants made it easy to grab lunch and dinner after a busy day in the sun. The in-unit washer and dryer made it easy to clean our swimsuits and stay on top of laundry, and the fully stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze. The porch also provides a nice space to take in the views and the sounds of waves crashing in a private and peaceful retreat. We loved visiting Colonial Beach and would happily stay at Brittany’s home again!

Great place with fantastic views of the Potomac . Close to many dining options within walking distance. We went for a Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. I highly recommend.

Amy and Andy are excellent hosts! I had so much fun. I was just a little disappointed in the wi-fi/internet connection but Andy is doing his best to correct it. This is my second time staying here and I will be coming back! I highly recommend it!

We own the only local live music venue, Easy Wind Farm, and LOVE having our National Touring bands stay at Karen's home! The musicians feel so relaxed in the country setting, and get to enjoy some much needed quiet time. There is plenty of indoor space and the outdoor space is a treasure! Very private, peaceful place. Exceeded expectations of description. Very comfortable. It had a gas grill which made it great for preparing meals. Kitchen was very thoroughly stocked with wth everything needed. Comfortable beds. 4-5 Kayaks were great for the back bay (pond) area. It is quite shallow in spots for kayaking, but enjoyed seeing the bald eagles, blue heron, and ospreys. both water areas are tidal. Beach area was great for fishing and sitting in out. Kilmarnock was a 30 min drive. it was a nice area for eating and shopping. Would love to stay again. Great place if you want to stay put and unwind.

Kristie’s place was great; felt very clean and comfortable. We loved that she provided a basket of local info and menus. We also enjoyed the waterfront view and using the provided kayaks in the cove. The patio furniture was very comfy, clean, and relaxing. Loved seeing the deer visit us most days. Kristie’s communication was outstanding from beginning to end with clear and easy instructions. Highly recommend!

We stay in about 3-4 Owner rented properties a year for the last 14 years and I can honestly say that this home is one of the most beautiful I have stayed in. It had been impeccily renovated and updated. It is beautifully decorated. It feels so clean, spacious and warm. The house is well maintained and appointed. Kelli is extremely responsive. I highly recommend.

Our second time staying at Jan’s beautiful waterfront home was even better than the first! The home itself is a gem, filled with lovely decor and thoughtful touches. Jan makes it a home away from home. We were close to restaurants, and enjoyed a great dinner out before heading back to relax. The TV room upstairs is perfect for kids to hang out, and the well equipped kitchen had everything we needed. We will be back again, I’m sure!

Would definitely recommend, beautiful all around! Will be staying again! 5 stars for sure !!

Katie and Matthias we're amazing hosts which made the stay that much more comforting! All of our family loved the whole home and their individual rooms. The home, the amenities, and the area made our whole weekend and experience in the area that much more memorable!

My husband was there for work and we still felt so at peace. the back porch was so wonderful and we sat out there often. We have never cooked so much at a property. excellent kitchen. Kristen & Tim are just great to chat with and are so kind. Very grateful for the opportunity to stay at such a special place.
