T’s place was absolute perfection! It was beautiful, tastefully decorated and the homemade muffins and cookies were amazing! She and John were so lovely and accommodating. Relaxing on the dock on the river was a sublime experience as well! I really can’t say enough about my time spent there and if I’m ever in the area again I will definitely be staying at T’s! Why would you stay anywhere else!?

Great for a group/family weekend getaway. Erin and Aryn are very hospitable hosts and provided all the essentials. Everything in the kitchen and all the light switches are clearly labeled, making it easy to navigate.

Our second time here! An absolutely adorable gem of an Airbnb with the nicest hosts and most beautiful garden and dock on the River! Great restaurant recommendations, super comfortable beds, and lovely living room. Perfect for families visiting the beloved St. Mary’s River.

We had a great time at Nicholas and Dana's place! It was both fun and relaxing. We really enjoyed the little beach, the dock and the kayaks. We caught some catfish and one tiny crab in the crab trap (and threw everything back in). It was nice to have the firepit and hot tub to use too. And, the kids really liked being downstairs in their own space. The only issues were that the key pad wasn't working to get in to the front door which was frustrating after a long drive and the grill was very slow to heat up and probably needs to be replaced. Overall, this home was a really good choice for us and we would stay again when visiting family in the area.

We loved our short stay at the Little Gray House. The view alone was worth the stay. The beaches are both easy walks and the area is lovely. Everything was clean and cozy and Bronwyn and Kat gave lots of information ahead of time, including some great recommendations. Would definitely recommend checking out The Hatchery and the Gwynn’s Island Museum on the island and spending some time exploring Mathews. We will be staying here again and hopefully soon!

There is no better place for a relaxing time away with family (including dogs!). The hosts have taken such care to ensure that every need is taken care of and even added little touches to make the experience extra special. We had originally planned to explore more of the eastern shore, but we could barely get ourselves to leave the awesome property. Nothing prepared me to see such a great sunset on the western horizon from the east coast! What a delight! Most of all, and most importantly for us, the home was truly dog inclusive. We brought our two large dogs with us and the hosts had prepared for it all - covers on furniture, dog bowls at the ready, even dog towels and shampoo! We had an absolute blast at the little beach area and on the dock, but definitely do watch out and follow the host’s instructions to stay safe from the sharp rocks and steep dock stairs. The home is easy to care for with no unreasonable expectations from the host (like in some airbnbs). Check in and relax!

We had great stay at Tim’s place. The surrounding just very peaceful and the gorgeous sunset view just from the deck, the pier. We stayed 2 nights just enjoying all the peaceful moments without leaving the house. The only thing is that there were many mosquitos when get dark, even we close the door right away but they came in some, they don’t really bite people though but if for those who hate to see them , that’s a thing. Anyway, it’s all about nature. We love nature so it’s not a big deal for us. Thank you Tim for sharing the lovely place to us.

My daughter found this gem online to book for my 65th birthday and a family get-together on the Northern Neck. We stay in Airbnb homes quite frequently all over the world and this is the loveliest home we've had the good fortune to stay in. Christine is the most gracious host and this home is special because she has made it that way for her family. It's a huge difference to stay in a vacation home that the host rents and a home that the host lives in. Christine's eye for beauty is exquisite and the home is comfortable as well as beautiful. It seldom happens that you say, "I wish the house had (fill in the blank)" and this house has it. The river is a gorgeous backdrop and there are kayaks to use. The saltwater pool is a great addition and a reason to hang at the house. And there is everything one needs to knock out a meal or if you don't want to cook, plenty of places to eat in the area. All in all, this house is a 15 out of 10!!

My family and I had a terrific stay. The house was very accommodating, clean, and comfortable. Allison was a great help and responded quickly to every inquiry. The outdoor space is great - we used the fire pit every night and I brought my boat and kept it at the dock. We would definitely stay here again!

Easthaven is a gem! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Something to do for everyone, indoors and outdoors. Really nice to have the SUP and kayaks available, as well as the crab pots. So many thoughtful touches, probably the most well stocked home we’ve stayed in. Definitely hope to return in the future!

This home was amazing - Jack and Beth were wonderful - everything we needed was right there - game room was perfect for the kids - the house was tremendous and spotless and perfect and I can’t say enough great things about my experience. I would 110% recommend this home to anyone!! Book it!!!

My family and I stayed here for a week for our family vacation. We are a group of 8 (6 adults and 2 kids) and there was plenty of room for all of us. We barely left the house because with the beautiful view, dock, beach area, canoe, kayaks, hot tub, game room/ library, corn hole, and fire pit we all had plenty to keep us entertained. Everyone loved Mary & Shelly’s place, and it provided the perfect space for us to enjoy the river and each other’s company!

The house is beautiful and very large. Three families with kids had plenty of room to spread out. The views are just as pictured and the finishes were all high end. As we knew from the listing, the pool was right on the deck with no fence, and this was stressful with our younger kids (as were the stairs). This wasn't a surprise but something to keep in mind if you're traveling with small kids. As another review pointed out the house feels out of place in the neighborhood. Melanie was very responsive and helpful and we had a great trip.

We had so much at Anne and Neil’s place. It was more beautiful in person than in the photos. The furniture and antiques were so beautifully appointed. We had lots of fun as a family enjoying their pool, searching for shark teeth and shells on their beach, and getting on the water in their boats. Lots of fun. We all wish we could have stayed longer.

We have stayed here twice now, both times in June. Will definitely be making a yearly trip of it, as we enjoyed it enough for many return trips. For our purposes, having a remote & very quiet location, with plenty of room for the dogs to run around, it is a perfect fit. Fenced in yard, private beach and again, not many people, if any around. As far as the home itself, it is very roomy, very clean and free of any clutter so getting settled in feels great. If you have kids, dogs or both, this is the perfect family getaway spot. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful property! We enjoyed our family gathering at this wonderful property. Our host Jane was accommodating and very helpful. The property is laid out well. The views were beautiful. Being at the end of the road and on a point. You felt like you were on your own small island. All 3 generations enjoyed their time! 12 people and never felt crowded!

Kendall has wonderful hospitality! It was the perfect peaceful getaway, with gorgeous views, beautiful sunsets, picturesque, and the perfect beach cottage! We had an amazing time and it was perfect for our family (including puppy). Perfect for an unplugged vacation since there is no wifi! We will definitely be back!

Karen was very quick to respond to our questions. The house was lovely. There were canoes, kayaks and water boards for the family to use. Baby pool for the kids. Fishing and crabbing was great entertainment for all. Kitchen well stocked with anything you needed.

We took a small vacation with my sister’s family and we loved the location. Our kids enjoyed the small play area in the basement with the arcade machine and foosball table. We cooked every night and they had all useful appliances. We used the Ninja air fryer and Keurig machine every day. Since we went in January after a snowstorm the road was a little hazardous to use and the lake was completely frozen, so we spent most times indoors. We did enjoy going to the dock and looking at the frozen lake. This will be a great place to visit during the summer, they had Kayaks to use and a nice dock to jump from and fish. We would definitely come back.

Wow! What a fabulous loft! Karin paid attention to every detail. The loft was well-stocked and had everything you need! Most impressive were the immaculate nature of the space and the VIEWS! The balcony was the best place for a morning cup of coffee...secluded, private, peaceful, and beautiful! This loft is brand new and so clean! Karin also allowed me to check out late and was an excellent communicator! Check in was easy and her directions were clear! Thanks for an amazing stay, Karin. I'll be booking next year, same time!

This is a great place if your family is looking for a beach get away. The fishing pier is large and can accommodate multiple fishing poles. The crabbing was also great! We caught so many crabs that we had crabs everyday. The large dining table and screened porch was perfect for family lunches/dinners. Rangeley (host) was also very responsive and made sure our stay was comfortable. I would highly recommend this place!

Such a perfect end of summer trip as two families of four. We spent almost the entire time outside, using the standup paddle boards at our small private beach, which is less than half a mile from the house and really easy to get to. The kids had so much fun, feeding the pigs and visiting the cows. We brought the kids bikes as all of the little back Roads were really fun to navigate, the kids said they would love to go back! The hosts were excellent, delicious ciders for the adults right next-door and we got ground beef and steaks from them for both the nights We were there to grill out.

Perfect get away for relaxing and unplugging. We look forward to coming back in the future.
