What a great place to stay.. excellent location, lovely room (Suite 2) and made to feel welcome from the get go…. We took our cockerpoo with us, a dog bed and treats were left for her.. The room itself was fabulous, loads of space with a separate seating area with armchairs. The bathroom was spectacular, a walk in shower and huge free standing bath - what a treat. Finally, breakfast in the Deli was something else, just superb and excellent quality. Will definitely be back soon.

Only stayed here for one night as we were on a walking holiday but wished it could have been for longer! Really comfortable and modern room with everyone you could need for a leisure or business trip including a fridge. The adjacent George & Dragon pub is lovely and does great food and drink and Castle Acre is just a 20-minute walk away. Highly recommended.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Two of us with two dogs had plenty of space. Bathroom and amenities were more than adequate. Location was close enough to the coast for a day trip to the beaches. Nice cafe very nearby too.

Amazing place!! Fab suite, super comfy with lots of little luxury extras. The Deli food was fantastic and very popular with locals and visitors alike. Brilliant location with lovely walks across the marshes and nice pubs. Pillows could be a little softer but that's personal preference and the bed was lush. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the North Norfolk coast and we'll definitely be back!

Really good food in evening as well as breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Shower was very good. Staff all friendly and helpful. Would stay again

absolutely stunning scenery out of the window looking straight on to the north Sea. Hotel staff were brilliant Rachel and Emma and great entertainment at the weekend Room was great for what we needed and maintained well by the cleaners

Good location and good price 👌

We felt privileged to stay in such a beautifully restored Chapel, a lot of thought has gone into its refurbishment. A folder details the history of the Chapel which was interesting to read. Basils Bolthole is situated in a lovely welcoming village with a great pub very close by. The accommodation is spacious and is furnished with interesting pieces throughout. It is well equipped with everything you could possibly require on a self catering break. We found all the beds to be comfortable with good quality linen. The location is within striking distance of Dunwich, Southwold and Aldeburgh and everything the beautiful Suffolk coastline has to offer. Sue is a very responsive and proactive host and I would certainly recommend staying in this beautiful converted Chapel.

We have stayed here before and booked my uncle in here for Christmas this year, the views from the window are really pretty and the pub is welcoming and has a cosy fireplace with good food. The train station isn’t too far away and littleport itself is only a 15 mins walk to a few shops. Great links into Ely, Cambridge and London on the train. You can walk along the river into Ely if you’re an avid walker (around 1hr 30 or 4miles) There’s a nice meadow that runs along the river which is a pleasant walk on a summers day (but muddy in the winter!) The Hotel room is clean and comfortable and comes with a fridge which is handy.

We had a lovely stay. The staff, particularly Lauren, were really helpful and friendly. We visited several local towns and beaches and had a fab time. Many thanks to all.

Lovely room in the heart of Thetford. Easy walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants and the river with off road parking.
