Lovely neighborhood, though a bit of a walk to main street

Kleines gemütliches Appartement in ruhiger Lage. Über die Bahnverbindung ist das Zentrum super zu erreichen oder man kann zu Fuß Portobello erkunden. Jamie war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat schnell auf Nachrichten reagiert.

Super leilighet og vert! Det var rett og slett trist å dra derifra. Vi elsker alt - de grønne plantene, hagen, det flotte furugulvet, vinduene med shutters, den koselige stuen, utsikten fra kjøkkenet og ikke minst det sjarmerende badet med blyglass i døren. Dette er en perle, en skatt av en leilighet. Vi har bodd på skrå over gaten for en del år siden og er godt kjent med området. Dette er stedet for den som liker å bo litt rolig, men likevel sentralt. Området preges av hyggelige kafeer, små butikker, restauranter og parker, alt i gangavstand til sentrum. Tusen takk for oss James. Vi håper du fortsetter med utleie, for vi kommer garantert tilbake neste år 🕊️

L’appartement d’Alexander est encore mieux que sur les photos! Bien placé et bien équipé. Nous étions deux couples et nous avions chacuns notre espace, c’était superbe! A noter que l’appartement est au 4eme étage sans ascenseur donc cela n’est pas adapté à tout le monde! Merveilleux séjour, nous reviendrons si l’occasion se représente!

This charming accommodation was a peaceful retreat from the busy crowds of Edinburgh’s Old and New Towns. Tucked away from the tourist hustle, it truly felt like a sanctuary. The apartment beautifully combines original character with modern comforts, creating a cozy and inviting space. It’s ideally located within walking distance to plenty of great cafés, restaurants, and markets. Andrew was a fantastic host—highly responsive and clear in all his communication. A wonderful stay overall.

El espacio que ofrece Martyna es muy confortable para dos. Tiene todas las comodidades. El auto se estaciona fácilmente, sin pago. Está a 20 minutos de Edinburgh pero se llega muy cómodo y hay transportes. Una buena cantidad de lugares para conocer están a 50, 60, 5, km y es un lugar ideal como punto de partida.

I just don't know where to begin. The host - James was the best host we've ever had. His communication, responsiveness and friendliness was just over the top. He gave us additional information on a local walking tour and a list with some outstanding restaurants. The location - completely central to all you could want to do in Edinburgh. We walked everywhere (we also had amazing weather for the first 5 days - 65 degrees). The apartment - WOW. Pristine, incredibly well appointed, clean, spacious. We have never seen a more thoughtfully stocked Airbnb - EVER!!! The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Needless to say - when we return to Edinburgh, we will be staying at James place. Thank you James!!!

I arrived at the flat after 10pm and so was especially grateful for crystal clear and easy instructions for access. The stairs are a bit of a hike for anyone not used to living in a walk up, but I’m a not especially athletic 66 and was fine even with my carry-on suitcase & large backpack. The place gets 5 stars from me for the super-responsive, pleasant, and helpful host and the lovely residential but fun neighborhood, perfect for the working traveller who prefers local charm. Breakfast at Romina & a leisurely cappuccino with my iPad at Books ‘n Cups was the ideal way to start a day when I did not have to be anywhere until late morning. I made a venison steak for dinner just so I could feel a little local by patronizing the charming butcher shop around the coroner from the flat. A couple of local bars (side by side) stay open until “late.” There’s a range of ethnic & other restaurants, & several book shops, including Rare Birds, which specializes in women authors (get the name?).

We had a wonderful stay here! Great place, had everything we needed, and very clean! We stayed with three adults and a toddler and had plenty of space. Close to lots of shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

Samantha var en super bra värd som var väldigt omtänksam att vi skulle trivas och ha allt vi behövde inför vistelsen. Hon kommunicerade otroligt bra och var väldigt tydlig i alla detaljer om boendet. Otroligt nöjd med boendet och Samantha!

A lovely flat from which to explore Edinburgh. We found the flat to be very clean, stylish and comfortable and it was also a bonus that we were able to park and bring our dog along.

This was my favourite stay on Airbnb so far. Mark was an incredible host, with great communication, clear instructions and generosity with everything (we made full use of the Nespresso machine 😂). The flat itself was beautiful, very nicely decorated. you can tell just from looking at it that a lot of thought and effort went into it, has a lot of personality, and quite clear that mark uses it himself as well. would definitely recommend to anyone who doesn't mind the slightly higher price and a few flights of stairs :)

Our family of three stayed at Emanuele's flat. While not super well set up for a 4 y.o., we were aware of this ahead of time and came prepared. Nothing was too difficult to work around. While a fairly small space for 3, the space itself sparked so much interest that we never felt cramped. It is a charming flat and we felt right at home.

Great value Airbnb. Very well equipped. Lovely to get breakfast products. Beds were comfy, Inc the sofa bed. The outside space was a bonus. Great walks. Straightforward bus service to explore further afield. Lots of local walks, pubs and food options. Rosie couldn’t do enough for us. A great weekend. Thank you Rosie.

An exceptional apartment with an exceptional host. The place is quiet, spacious, super clean, super comfortable. The entire apartment was beautifully decorated and had useful as well as interesting books. The living room/dining room is huge and pleasant to relax in. The kitchen had everything we needed and was stocked with lots of staples. The outdoor garden sitting area is beautiful. We really enjoyed staying here. Pierson is a great communicator and was helpful from our first inquiry all through our visit and checkout. Stockbridge is a perfect area to stay in: walking distance to all attractions in Edinburgh but a village in its own right with great shops and food. Do not miss I. J. Mellis Cheesemongers. They have so many cheeses from local UK and small producers. Their staff is friendly and happy to offer samples and teach. We had a wonderful long afternoon at the nearby Botanic Garden. We will be back!

A very nice flat in a good location close to Haymarket and restaurants. The flat was clean and bright with nice decor and has a convenient parking space. We didn't have time to use the pool as there is so much to do in Edinburgh. Ollie was a good host, always quick to respond and helpful. It was a great place to stay.

I spent nearly four months in Wendy's accommodation. I had a great time there! The apartment itself offers great views, and the room is very comfortable. It is easily accessible by bus and has a good connection to the city centre and main University Campus, as well as being close to a big supermarket and the beach. Being on the outskirts of the city and by the sea, it made it very easy to find peace, walking along the beach or visiting my personal favourite place, Newhailes Estate. For those coming to study here: the bus connection to the University of Edinburgh's King's Buildings is not great, especially on the way back, and if you'll have to be there a lot I'd recommend getting a bicycle, which is about twice as fast. Wendy is a very friendly host, who is usually not home during the day but if you run into her and she has time she will be open for a chat - for example sharing stories or music. She loves baking, and might leave something she made in the fridge for you!

Ollie was a great host, gave clear instructions, and was available even at late hours. Very good apartment, clean and calm. Close to co-op for groceries and all major spots are easily accessible by walking or bus. Highly Recommended
