Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Mission Canyon

The unique layout worked for our group (2 bedrooms (one is a walk-through) are separated from the rest of the house). Beautiful backyard and deck. Super quiet and peaceful. You need to descend a full flight of outdoor stairs to get to the main house and deck. Lovely outdoor spaces in a super convenient location.

Raymond was the best host I ever had. He was so accommodating with our early check in and offered a late check out which was so kind. Raymond was so responsible to all my questions and requests. Raymond’s house is located at a great location. We can walk to the beach, walk to the restaurants and markets and his house is also located close to the downtown and the train station. My friends and I loved staying at Raymond’s. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean and we loved the neighborhood. We would love to come back.

This home is very peaceful. I love that the greenery in the front yard makes it feel very private. I came solo and only used one bedroom. If you came here with a group, the only issue I’d see is the bathroom with the shower is quite small for sharing. I used the kitchen to make dinner - it has everything you need. One of my favorite things about this house is it’s two blocks from Bob‘s Well Bread, an amazing bakery/café. I walked there every morning for coffee.

Annie was very helpful and promptly responded. The house and grounds are well equipped and furnished/decorated in a Ventura theme, with 1940's features that match the home's and neighborhood's age. We'd be happy to stay again on our next trip to visit relatives in town.

Our family’s stay in Santa Barbara was made so comfortable by this lovely home! It was so well equipped with all the kitchen and bath necessities, and it was so pleasant to look out toward the mountains while relaxing in the open living space. The location was so convenient and walkable to the beach, to State St., to 101, and to food markets and many dining options. The train made minimal noise on a predictable schedule and we enjoyed watching it come and go! We easily explored Santa Barbara from this easy and pleasant home base. Thank you Angela for a memorable stay!

Very cute and quiet place. Couch was comfy and engulfs you when you sit down, loved it! A little confusing when coming in. We arrived at dark, didn’t know which door was the main entrance as there were a few doors to pass before finding the one with the keyless pad on it. That door takes you into a bedroom rather than the main part of the home. I wouldn’t suggest staying here with people you aren’t familiar or comfortable with as the only bathroom is in the middle of the house in a bedroom. So anyone sleeping in the back bedroom or the living room, has to enter the next bedroom to use the bathroom which could disturb the people in that room. Checking out at 10am was rushed when there were 4 girls trying to shower and share 1 bathroom and get packed and out of there to avoid an extra cost. I felt a little stressed that morning. Bring a thicker blanket if you sleep cold. Quits on the bed weren’t warm and my kids and I were cold. Otherwise, cute and clean home, would stay again.

We stayed with our adult kids and wanted a walkable location. This one was perfect! Quiet yet close. Really enjoyed meeting Jeanne and her dogs.... horses, chickens too. (FYI....They are off site and not at the property.) The home is very well provisioned and the beds luxurious and comfy. Open kitchen and lots of seating in the living areas. Thank you Jeanne, we look forward to seeing you again!

perfect location in Montecito! Very short walk to both the village and butterfly beach. The house is beautiful, clean, and spacious, and the backyard is so serene! The 101 is not at all too loud- it’s like gentle ambient noise- our newborn baby slept very comfortably and easily here! 😁 our family would absolutely return again! thanks Sara for sharing your beautiful space!

David's place was perfect for us! It is so comfortable and we loved watching Directv...what a treat! The kitchen space is fully stocked with lots of clear directions. David was very helpful and accommodating. Even the main house seems close to the guest house, it is still VERY private. Thank you David for a wonderful stay!!

Jolie and the cabin were amazing! Great with communication and desired to make sure we had everything we needed, even willing to go above and beyond most other places. My boyfriend and I had a great time!

I absolutely loved staying here. I came here with my dog for a short getaway from LA and to check out the Santa Ynez area. The fenced in yard was perfect for my dog, who was in bliss with all the space, new smells and nature sounds. The guest house is so cute, private and opens out to the pool and yard area that is on top of a hill overlooking other vast properties with horses grazing, grapes growing, hawks flying over...It’s so beautiful and peaceful. Everything in the guest house was clean and organized, even pool towels were provided for me and my dog. The bed was very comfortable and I loved leaving the windows open for a breeze and to hear all the birds and other night sounds. The property is a short drive to Santa Ynez and Los Olivos, both very nice to walk around and very dog friendly! Cute restaurants and Alanna recommended a few dog friendly options for me. I loved my stay here, Alanna was a great host, and I hope to be back.

Hilary’s home was wonderful. Great location just minutes away from downtown Solvang. The home was well stocked and the gourmet kitchen was wonderful to cook in. The kids enjoyed the pool and I enjoyed the views and coolbreeze on the pool deck. It was super relaxing! We loved the 2 pianos in the home which we enjoyed playing a few tunes on. We did a zip line tour which was only minutes away from the home. Multiple fruit trees and flowers enhanced the manicured property. Our doggy enjoyed the lawn but did pick up ticks on our walk around the neighborhood. We were able to brush them off him. Thankfully he’s on tick and flea prevention. Overall we had a fantastic time and the kids were sad to leave. We could’ve used a few more days! Thank you Hilary for sharing your beautiful home with us.

This was truly one of the best Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed at. The space was not only spotless but beautifully decorated, with so many thoughtful touches—water by the bed, luxe bathroom amenities, cozy candles throughout… it felt like a boutique retreat. The pool was absolutely stunning, and having the horses wander right up to it made for the most magical, relaxing afternoon. The hosts were incredibly kind and even offered to extend our checkout since no one was checking in after us. We came for a couples getaway and had the perfect balance of activity and chill: wine tasting and dinner out the first night, then biking into town for breakfast and soaking up the sun at the pool with wine and lunch the next day. The animals and peaceful farm setting just sealed the deal. 10/10 would recommend—this place is a gem

Sophie and Isaac were great hosts: responsive, helpful and friendly! The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed for a cozy weekend of cooking good food, making beautiful charcuterie boards and savoring some wine on the deck surrounded by shade making trees. We enjoyed a hike at the nearby Enchanted Forest Trail, detoxed in the infrared sauna, and took the kids to the community pool. The cabin is divided into 3 floors- the main floor, the mezzanine and the basement. We were a large group, 5 adults, a teenager and 3 kids and the house was spacious and intimate at the same time. It had lots of areas to hang out in. We were there in the Summer but I imagine it is also magical in the Winter with the Pine Mountain covered in snow. Highly recommend!

I stayed at Blaine's place for a solo pre-Mother's Day getaway and it was magical! I come up to the area once a year around this time and usually I stay at a hotel in Santa Barbara. This time, I decided to explore Montecito and do an airbnb and Blaine's place stood out. It was the perfect location and size with great amenities. Blaine was also very responsive when I reached out for local recommendations (outside of the extensive guidebook she put together). I would love to stay here again on my next trip up!

We had a very peaceful stay at Gabe's vintage airstream - it was cozy, stylish, and walkable to great restaurants! It ended up being a warm weekend but the AC worked well, and the landscaping on the property was so beautiful - we will be back!

My husband and I had a great stay with our dog. The space is compact but has everything you could possibly need and the full enclosed yard was perfect for our dog to stretch her legs and go potty. Everything was very clean, comfortable and thoughtfully considered. Would stay again!

We loved Whitney's place. The location was fantastic with a trail up the hill directly behind with beautiful wildflowers and amazing views. Then in the other direction steps down the steep Summerland hill to coffee shops, restaurants, and the beach. Our dog was in heaven there. The cottage is definitely small so probably best for a single or couple though we did manage a weekend with 2 couples. The kitchen is very well appointed and I was able to cook many of the nights without having to run out for cabinet staples. Her recommendations for good grocery stores and restaurants were very helpful. Ian and Whitney could not be more friendly and love meeting their new young baby, dog and parrot. There are two great garden spots on opposite sides of the unit that are great for coffee early and drinks later. Read description of how you get in as it is a lot of steps to get down from the street wind through gravel path to the door. I would definitely rent Whitney's cottage again.

We will definitely be returning! Waking up to sweet horses and chickens, surrounded by nature and feeling completely relaxed and at home. Nan was a delightful host who helped us with everything we needed and made our kids feel like they were her own.

This redwood cottage in the Santa Ynez Valley was absolutely charming! Tucked away in a peaceful setting, it offered the perfect mix of comfort and nature. The space was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, with beautiful wood details and all the essentials we needed. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Loved meeting the little Chihuahua that was roaming the property. We will definitely come back.

Great place and since me and my daughter was visiting my son who studies at SBCC and also lives only 3 minutes away, this was perfect.👌 Great layout of the place and all you need for a comfortable stay. Great outdoor area where you can enjoy the sun from morning to late afternoon.☀️ Also wonderful surroundings and only 6-8 minutes walk to ocean shoreline. Easy check in and checkout, couldn’t be better.👍
