Amazing House in the Heart of Santa Barbara

This home is perfectly situated. Downtown State Street is only three blocks away and the famous Funk Zone where you can experience top notch dining is less than a five minute drive. The beach is only blocks away and a quick 2 or 3 minute drive will take you there. The entrance to the North and South 101 freeway is one block away. Please be advised that this is not a party house. Large parties will not be accepted and can lead to guests being asked to leave.

We had a wonderful time at Rebecca's place. We had a family and friends reunion with children and pets, and the space accommodated all of our needs well. The kids played endlessly outside on the zip line, and the dogs had lots of room to run in the awesome, large yard. We liked being a bit removed from downtown Santa Barbara (5 min from upper State St. and 10 min from Stearns Wharf), and the neighborhood was really quiet and peaceful. Dog-friendly Hendry's beach was a short drive down the hill or a nice jog along the bike path. Unit was very clean and had everything we needed. No need for TV's for us. Between the games, the beautiful big yard and SB nearby, we had a great time!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this lovely home! The setting and landscape design were spectacular. We enjoyed going on hikes and walks from the property and it was convenient to get to and from downtown SB. Communication with and instructions from the home owner were clear and simple to follow.

Matt and Linda were excellent hosts, and the space we rented was exactly as advertised. The house had plenty of room and all of the amenities listed, not to mention how much the yard felt like a private oasis perfectly adorned to take advantage of southern California weather. The hosts were welcoming and kind, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

Our family absolutely loved this house as a way to spend a week for Spring Break. The beach is basically private and the house as beautiful, not to mention absolutely loaded with Beach chairs and games/toys to use for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Kids room was fun for the kids to all be in their own space.

Our family’s stay in Santa Barbara was made so comfortable by this lovely home! It was so well equipped with all the kitchen and bath necessities, and it was so pleasant to look out toward the mountains while relaxing in the open living space. The location was so convenient and walkable to the beach, to State St., to 101, and to food markets and many dining options. The train made minimal noise on a predictable schedule and we enjoyed watching it come and go! We easily explored Santa Barbara from this easy and pleasant home base. We could not be happier with our stay at Lisa’s beautiful home in Ventura! My husband is always very skeptical of renting homes as opposed to staying at a hotel, and even he kept saying “Ok this was an excellent find” Everything about the house was as described and Lisa went above and beyond in making sure the house was ready and comfortable for us, even getting the pack n play set up and ready for use for our 1 year old. The kids bunk room, board games and puzzles, safety covers on every outlet, baby supplies and an abundance of beach toys and gear all helped make this an absolutely perfect spot for families. We were so close to the beach it was no problem at all taking 3 small kids there and back multiple times, and the little main street with a couple restaurants was less than a 5 minute walk away. Instructions were all so clear, the backyard was awesome to hang out and enjoy dinner at, and the entire house was so clean and comfortable. My family is already begging to book it again!

What an absolute gem of a house in the perfect little California beach town 🤩 The pictures are accurate but don’t really do justice to how seamlessly this house blends vintage character with modern comfort. The updated amenities ensured we had everything we could possibly need for a perfect vacation. The location is simply perfect – just steps from the beach, with a private patio that was our favorite spot for an evening drink. Right in the heart of restaurants and shopping, but it was never loud or distracting. Beach was a short walk, and the provided chairs/wagon was so helpful! Carp is one of our favorite spots and this is easily one of our favorite houses we’ve stayed in anywhere - loved everything about it and can’t wait to return!

This home is a treasure in a really lovely place. Couldn’t recommend the accommodation or the immediate area more. Glenn was very helpful when I was booking. There is a large grocery store within a short drive. The house is furnished and decorated well, the kitchen equipped for cooking and baking. The appliances all work well. I think the house has been renovated so that three were made one- so the layout is a tad bit unusual but we appreciated having spaces for all.
