Family-friendly vacation rentals in Mendota Heights

I can't gush enough about the Treetop Apartment! Aaron was a great host who reached out and set up a pack and play and high chair since I was visiting with a little one. This space is gorgeous, charming, and absolutely filled with thoughtful touches. My kids (4 and 1) loved it and we all want to come back. Clear and helpful instructions throughout the space, everything you need to stay with kids while still being a space that was serene and calming for an adult. The coffee bar and record collection are amazing, the bathroom is amazing with a wonderful deep tub, the whole layout is a perfect blend of old charm and modern amenities. Stay here, you're going to love it!

We have just had two wonderful weeks in this exceptional apartment. From the moment we opened the door it felt like home. Colleen and Aaron have gone above and beyond to make this such a comfortable, stylish and welcoming space and we couldn’t have chosen a better location for our holiday. As soon as we booked, we had such friendly messages from them and this continued during the time we were there. They are perfect hosts and definitely deserve five plus stars! We hope to return next year and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting accommodation in Minneapolis.

It was even nicer than the photos, with a beautiful back yard, fun pool table, very clean. Jill was very responsive.

This is the perfect space for hosting large groups! The basement “suite” area is cozy and perfect for a small family. The upstairs has plenty of beds and space for more people. The fire pit, hot tub, sauna, outdoor table, and sunroom are exactly what you need to entertain while staying at the Airbnb. The one and only amenity missing is a living room area large enough to seat the max amount of guests. But this is basically a nonissue unless you plan on having a big movie night. Overall I was very pleased with the home and, at this price point, would recommend to it anyone looking for a large group vacation to the cities!

This well-equipped home is the perfect base for exploring Minneapolis. It's convenient to lots of activities and restaurants, but a tranquil spot to relax with plenty of space both inside and outside. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the experience of the tree house. Very clean, everything we needed to stay was there,kitchen,bathrooms,accessories. Beautiful setting,fun experience.

Amy Jo was a wonderful host and we felt right at home! The home was spacious and clean, the bed was comfy, and my little one had a blast playing with the toys and watching the ducks on the pond. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Sasha was very easy to work with and very responsive. She was willing and able to work with our schedule and was accommodating to our needs. The location itself was perfect for our needs; pretty much 25 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go. Easy access to a grocery store and just a short drive from the major arteries into the city. Plus a pretty park/walking path in front of the house.

Jeff and Sara’s house is in a lovely neighborhood central to many Minneapolis activities. The house was nice and clean and they were easy to work with.

Josh was a wonderful host. Very responsive and helpful. The location was easy to find, and the instructions were very clear. The backyard was awesome as well, lots of bunnies and chipmunks roaming about, and very peaceful. The apartment was very cool with lots of interesting art, with a comfortable bed and a nice foldout couch. Josh even dropped off some new coffee for us. Wonderful experience with nice people and a great spot.

Beautiful bungalow in a quiet, residential area of Minneapolis. It was a relaxing spot to return to after a busy day in the city. We also enjoyed how close the location is to the restaurants and shops at 50th and France.

Great location, easy street parking, and there is everything you need in the apartment though it is quite small.

The apartment was great! The neighborhood is very nice, beautiful, and walkable, very close to the university. The check-in was smooth. It was amazing for our weekend trip to the Twin Cities.

I'm a repeat visitor to this darling apartment. Couldn't recommend it enough!

The hosts, Katie and Curt, were very friendly and responsive. The hot tub on the patio was a big bonus. I also enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the trolley go by through the woods ($3 to take the short historic ride). And just a few minutes to walk to Lake Harriet pavilion to take in some live music or walk around the lake. I’m excited to come back sometime for this relaxing get-away!

Brooke was a fabulous hostess for us and a very prompt communicator before and during our stay. The house was clean, well maintained, and check in was easy upon arrival. The check out instructions were simple and easy to follow. I would say the house sleeps 8 adults very comfortably with 3 fun bedrooms, a loft, and a dayroom off the pool; we squeezed in 10 and it was sufficient. We had plenty of bathroom space for all the ladies, which was a plus! The hot tub and pool were wonderful amenities. The price felt a bit high but it was a fabulous, well-worth it choice for our bachelorette who loves all things vintage.

Great location near trails, Cedar Lake and Theodore Wirth Park! Grace was very responsive with lots of helpful information! Easy in and out; it had everything we needed; Appreciated the large selection of coffee pods for the Keurig in the morning!

Great place. Eric had wonderful recommendations for walkable restaurants and other things to do in the area. The yard and garage area were a hit. Very friendly host.
