Guesthouse vacation rentals in Mariposa County

The cottage is cozy and the perfect place for a couple to stay. Really enjoyed the welcome and the cleanliness. Besides having the sound of the creek in the background my favorite part of the stay was the vintage claw foot tube. Hot baths after a day of hiking in Yosemite was a cherry on top! The bed is soft and the linens were smooth. I slept well all 4 nights we stayed.

I stayed 2 nights with my adult daughter at Clayton and Joy's cottage to visit relatives who live in Bootjack. The cottage was clean, spacious and stocked with the needs for the stay (pots, pans, plates, bowls etc. and extra towels and blankets). The cottage was big enough to have my (2) relatives over for lunch and for my daughter and I to hang out together then retire to our own bedrooms and bathrooms. There was a pool but we didn't have time to use it. The cottage is about 15 minutes from Hwy 49 and 20 minutes to downtown Mariposa. There are no stores close by, it would be wise to bring food and drinks. Overall it was a great place to unwind and feel at home. My thanks to the host Clayton and Joy.

The place looks better in person it’s decorated cute and it’s very spacious. Thr kitchenette has all the basics needed. The bed was comfy for me, the extra mattress came in handy, we had my son sleep there. The tv was black and white though couldn’t get to change it to color but I didn’t mind I just watched it like that. We took a flashlight because we did read other reviews where there’s no porch light. We enjoyed our stay. We traveled to Yosemite and this place is the nearest to the south entrance. 25miles away or something like that.

Stephanie and Dwight were fantastic hosts! The cottage was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. They were super responsive and made us feel right at home. We’d definitely love to come back—highly recommend!

This was my second time here. It is a lovely, peaceful place to come to for some R&R. John is an amazing person with lots of stories to tell. The wildlife is pretty spectacular here as well. He feeds the animals, so there are always some around the property.

Judy and Dan were so warm, welcoming, and gracious. We were very comfortable and happy with our stay. We appreciate all the detailed instructions about the bunkhouse and local hikes and attractions as well. They were always quick to respond anytime we had a question. The house was so organized and clean which we appreciate. The location is so great should you wish to experience Yosemite (Fishcamp entrance), Bass Lake, Sugarpine Railroad, or local Horseback riding. Plenty of shopping and dining nearby also. Thank you so much!

Nick’s place was perfect for what we needed. We were in town for a wedding in Yosemite and the location was walkable distance to the rest of the wedding parties airbnbs + the lake lodge. We didn’t have a chance to utilize the sauna but the steam shower was everything!! We also had the opportunity to meet Nick himself! Would definitely book again in the future when we’re up in Groveland.

Steve and Tami have a great place for those that value getting away from it all while still being very comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed our stay with our two dogs. The property has many amenities that made our stay enjoyable. The dogs had their own fenced yard complete with water bowls, dog bags and a toys. For the humans; corn hole, horse shoes and walks in the woods were much appreciated. The property was very clean, updated and relaxed. Very nice porch to start the day with coffee and look out at the wood or finish off the evening enjoying the locally produced little fruit pies Steve and Tami leave you in the fridge. The cherry on top had to be Steve and Tami themselves. Delightful hosts that definitely have the gift of hospitality and conversation. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice place! Great communication. Just a drive from Yosemite

What a beautiful place! Very stylish, clean, and comfortable! There were so many sweet touches like a candle on arrival, snacks and coffee available. There was also pretty much every streaming service available which was a big plus. Francis was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed, and check out was incredibly easy. The location was great for our couple days exploring Yosemite - about 30 min from the parks entry and one hour fifteen min from Yosemite village. We enjoyed poking around Groveland as well. Would definitely stay again!

The property was perfect! We had our own hot tub which was super relaxing for stargazing in the evenings after hikes in Yosemite. The space had really pretty views of the meadows. We were the only ones staying there at the time, so it was incredibly private and peaceful. Would definitely recommend to a friend or to a group of friends looking to all stay together. Additionally, we had issues with the Wi-Fi going out due to provider interference, but the hosts were very responsive and took care of it as soon as possible which made our stay much more convenient.

A nice place to stay for a short trip. It's small and max occupancy of 3 makes sense. Once the pull out sofa is used then quite challenging to move in and out through front door. Very convenient location and hosts were always quick to respond. Maybe clear instructions with photos to find the place would be helpful if someone is coming. All in all a pleasant stay. Bathroom had a leak just before we checked out. Nice dog run area and cooking place outside with fireplace

We stayed here for a couple nights as a home base while visiting Yosemite. The place is lovely, clean, and the back patio is so peaceful. While it is a little far from Yosemite Valley (about 1.5 hours), both routes to get there and back are very pretty drives and we had a great time!

Great place to stay for a weekend get away! It’s conveniently located close to main roads. Grahm and Trish are super host. Love the post card with included stamps!! all I needed to do is fill a the recipients name and drop it at the post office. Definitely will come back and stay at Grahm’s in our next trip if it’s available then.

Our stay was excellent. Just as described in the listing. Carly was great at communicating information and answering questions.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Lovers Nest. We were traveling from LA for our first visit to Yosemite and found the proximity to the park (about 1hr) and the ease of the drive/route to be a huge advantage to staying at Maja's place. The property and space itself were lovely - very clean, comfortable and looks just as it does in the pictures. We drove to YNP two days in a row, so unfortunately did not have time to explore the trails on the property but very much enjoyed watching deer grazing out back our last morning. The complimentary bottle of wine and coffee were also a thoughtful touch. Another bonus was the air purifier that we used at night for white noise. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay near Mariposa in a lovely relaxing space.

Everything was just like the pictures and descriptions. The place is amazing. Loved the stay!

Our stay here could not have been better!! We brought our dog, and he was in absolute heaven. We live in a condo back home that only has a small, square concrete patio. Here, he was able to run around in the generous outdoor area. It was also perfect having the extra room so that my housemate and I could have some privacy. It was very close to the rest of town and easy to find. Our hosts left extremely easy-to-follow instructions and were very proactive and friendly. 10/10 would absolutely stay if we return!!

David & Suzanne's place was just as described in listing and photos. The location for perfect for us and we slept well there! Super close to the entry of Yosemite Park. If you go on weekdays to the park early in the morning, no wait at the entry. We hiked and rode bikes every day! Explored Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, and many trails in Yosemite Valley. We had dinners at the cabin and other meals at Tenaya nearby and in the Yosemite Valley. Thank you for hosting us David & Suzanne. We had an amazing time!
