Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Manhattan

So there are apparently not enough characters allowed in the review to fully express our pleasure staying at this wonderful place. We have stayed in multiple Airbnbs with our business the past five years and this particular one is in the top three. Upon approach, take in the charming brownstones and tree lined streets. Once you open the door, you are greeted with natural light filled space with a chefs kitchen. The decor is modern, yet not stark. The added elements, such as the exposed brick and wood, emanate a warmth and coziness. The outdoor back space is just right, but sitting on the front steps is the best because you meet all kinds of charming characters around the neighborhood. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with dream bathrooms, right down to the showerheads. beds were SO comfortable and perfect for melting into a deep sleep after a day in Manhattan. Favs:bathrooms, kitchen island, neighborhood shops and cafes, argh there’s not enough room left just book it already!!

The location is perfect to visit NY, Victoria is a really kind host and the flat is perfect !

Jolie maison dans un quartier très calme, tout l'étage est très bien équipé, cuisine et salle de bains impeccables. Un déli est au coin de la rue, proximité du métro, de bus et de nombreux commerces. Bonne communication. Liaison directe avec Brooklyn et Manhattan par la ligne J. Même si le temps de transport est un peu long, nous recommandons pour les séjours à New York.

Tony ist ein toller Gastgeber - wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in seiner stylisch eingerichteten Wohnung sehr genossen! Die Wohnung liegt zwei Gehminuten von der Metrostation in einer familienfreundlichen und sehr belebten Gegend entfernt und die Nächte waren trotzdem sehr ruhig! Die Betten waren hervorragend bequem und die Unterkunft äusserst gut ausgestattet (vor allem Küche und Bad) und sehr cool eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sofort zuhause gefühlt! Die zwei Schlafzimmer liegen entfernt voneinander, so dass mein Vater und ich ausreichend Privatsphäre hatten - perfekt für uns! Alles war genauso wie auf den Fotos beschrieben - sogar noch besser. Wir zögern nicht, auch das nächste Mal wieder bei Tony zu sein! Herzlichen Dank!

Jian's place is clean, comfortable, and a good value for a short stay. Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, the apt is a 15 minute bus ride to downtown Flushing, and 5 minutes by uber from LGA. The neighborhood is quiet, and I felt very safe walking late at night. However you will hear the planes taking off from LGA. Check-in is via a keypad and Jian responds quickly to any questions. There was a glitch at the beginning of the stay which Jian resolved quickly. The nearest subway into Manhattan is from downtown Flushing, so traveling into Manhattan can take 90 minutes, or even longer if returning late at night as the buses from Flushing run less frequently. The bed and linens are comfortable and of good quality, the bathroom has a large step-in shower with great water pressure and instant hot water. Flushing is a great destination for authentic Chinese food with more variety and better prices than Chinatown. I definitely recommend Jian's place.

Excellent home in a fabulous neighborhood! Sara was incredibly responsive and friendly throughout our stay. There wasn't any air-conditioning to ease the heat of the really hot days, but the location and cleanliness of the unit was worth the steamy moments. Also - it is very easy to find parking on this street! What an unexpected surprise!

Matt was great and welcoming! A sweet person and I was thankful for him on my solo trip. ❤️🫂

We had a great stay at Erika's place. We only needed a place for the night before the Brooklyn Half and this stay worked out well for us. There was clear communication ahead of time from the host regarding instructions for entering and questions regarding nearby parking options. The location worked out great for us and was nearby restaurants, bars, and the park. If there was any negative, it would be that the bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom were not the most comfortable for my grown sons, however, it was helpful to have 2 beds in the small extra bedroom so I can understand why they were chosen. Overall we had a great stay. We would definitely recommend Erika's place to others.

Tijdens mijn verblijf in het appartement van Sheyla voelde alles moeiteloos en vertrouwd. Het contact verliep snel en prettig. De locatie kon niet beter: op loopafstand van Central Park, Broadway en Times Square. Supermarkten, een fijne koffieplek, een cocktailbar en zelfs een handige bagage-opslag zaten aan de overkant. Het appartement zelf was precies zoals op de foto’s – schoon, goed uitgerust en een ideale uitvalsbasis om Manhattan te ontdekken. Hier verblijven voelde als thuiskomen in de stad. Ik zou het zo weer boeken.

Très bon séjour passé à New York dans le logement de Milton. Ce dernier est très sympathique et réactif aux différentes questions. Le logement est idéalement situé vis à vis des stations de métro (10 min à pied), et les lignes desservent le sud de Manhattan jusque Brooklyn. Le logement est très bien équipé, conformément à la description. Bien que la ville de New York soit réputée pour le fait qu’elle ne dorme jamais, nous avons réussi à trouver un peu de quiétude dans ce logement au calme. Je recommande donc le logement proposé par Milton.

Wonderful overnight stay! This was perfect for our group of 5. Will come again! Do note it's a walk up to the third floor with no elevator. We had dinner at the Italian restaurant right downstairs, which was also very convenient.

Estaba muy bien ubicado, podiamos caminar facilmente a las lineas del metro, queda relativamente al Vessel y otras zonas turisticas, la comaprtida del baño fue demsaido facil siempre estaba limpio y libre, nos gusto mucho volveriamos!

I’ve stayed in many Airbnb’s in New York City, and Taylor’s place is by FAR the nicest. You can’t always tell what you’re going to get, but Taylor’s really is exactly as described. It’s in a clean, very appealing building, and the apartment is totally quiet, clean and functional, tastefully and thoughtfully appointed, and completely efficient for a week of living in a cozy home in Greenwich Village. The compact space is decorated in a way that is wonderfully soothing and restorative— creates a sense of emotional expansion and relaxation. The location is amazing too, everything you could want is close and walkable. And Taylor is a really thoughtful and responsive host. What a special experience. I’m hoping to come back!

We drove in from NC and found a near by parking garage (booked months in advanced) to store our car for the week. We're honked and yelled at driving...best experience (was on our bucket list). Location is perfect.. walkable to Central park, Broadway shows, times square, places to eat and drink, Hudsen river, and the subway. The place itself is perfect and gives the feel as if you were a New Yorker, which was exactly what we wanted to experience. Enjoy the leg burn going up the stairs every night after an all day walk-athon in Manhattan, to a cozy studio with a hot shower. Elena's place was perfect and allowed us to scratch off everything on our Manhattan bucket list. Highly recommend, coming from a farming NC couple.

Great place to stay! Host was great and quick response time if we needed anything. There was also someone at the front desk and check in and out was fast and easy. I had left something behind and the host was gracious enough to hold them for me. Would definitely stay here again when in NYC. Place was right next to a donut shop Bear Donuts (went there everyday). really walkable to all the great places in NYC.

Louise's place is very easy to find and access. It is very close to bus stops and metros, and very close to Times Square and Broadway shows. There are several restaurants around. We like the bagel shops right across the street. There is an Amish Market nearby where we can get grocery and food to cook ourselves. The rooms are clean and quiet. Although the apartment is right on the 9th Avenue, we hardly could hear any noise inside the house. It is on the 3rd floor and we were a bit worried about bringing up our luggage but then Louise sent a friend to help us bringing up our stuff when we checked in, and it was at midnight!! We were so comfortable in the house, and had great fun during our trips. I definitely recommend the place.

Everything about this apartment is exceptional! Incredible views and location made it very easy to get to all parts of Manhattan. Sol was so great at communicating all the details, I look forward to my next stay at her beautiful home.

Location Location Location! Very hard to find a neat place to stay on UWS. This apartment has great restaurant selection right at the door step. Either for a cozy dinner or kids crazy morning routine. Keep in mind this is NYC so not elevator access if you need but it was ok for us even with stroller. Overall recommend this place if you budget allows.

This is the best air bnb experience I have ever had. The place itself was absolutely beautiful, curated thoughtfully, attention to detail, every comfort you could want and more. I was best man for a wedding, and this served as home base for the wedding party. They all also got air bnbs in NYC and it was just an onslaught on complaints - this air bnb was nothing but rave review. A big part of that was the host, Anthony. Anthony was extremely accomodating, responsive, generous, thoughtful, proactive - and kind. I am 100% going to be looking to stay here every time I come to NYC, I feel no desire to go anywhere else or even consider a hotel. If you're thinking about it, just do it - you will not regret it. 10/10!!!!

Our family of 4 stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to the path in 5 min to connect to the NYC subways. On the walk, you pass multiple cafes and coffee shops. Great craft beer and wine shop on the corner. Pizza shop, Basile’s, right next to the PATH is perfect for a late night snack. The beds were comfortable, and even though there was some street noise heard at night, a sound machine was provided to help lull you to sleep. The only thing you have to be aware of is the unit is located on the 2nd floor, and you have to go up a narrow set of stairs which can be hard with multiple suitcases. Other than that, a comfortable and convenient place to stay with everything within walking distance!

Great location. Easy access to Manhattan. Very helpful host. Clean apartment. Will definitely stay here again when visiting NY. Very enjoyable experience.

Beautiful place, functional. clear and efficiently laid out. Easy to access with Subway and buses, many shop and restaurants within a short walking distance. Ann was very responsive and helpful before, and during the stay. Only challenge was to find a nearby parking stop when arriving late at night but this is to be expected in NYC.

Being welcomed by the entire family to getting end to end support during the stay, it was a great experience staying at this bnb .. amazing view , kitchen fully stacked , very prompt response , extremely helpful attitude… would recommend stay here if you want to be just around NYC but don’t want the hustle bustle of the city

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is just like the photos, and in a lovely neighborhood with grocery, coffee, restaurants, subway, etc. nearby. The bed is super comfortable...amazing water pressure...all located in a quiet building. I would definitely stay here again!
