Cabin vacation rentals in Lake Alpine

We had a lovely time at the cabin. S’mores were a nice touch for around the fire pit and we enjoyed the hot tub very much. Loft area was great for the family. Convenient to Yosemite. Wish we had more time to explore the lake!

Creating memories with adult children who are living their own lives can be hard to schedule. We found the perfect opportunity for a quick weekend getaway hosted by Leif. What we thought we were getting was a house big enough to host our group. What we got, was so much more! As soon as you walk into the space, you realize that the pictures you saw on the posting do not do justice to the real thing. You’re transported into another era where life slows down and you realize the simplest of things are the really important things: like family. My children especially enjoyed the opportunity to meet Leif’s animals and feed them rinds and banana peels. Peanut was the star of the show ( if you know, you know). Thank you, Leif, for a beautiful weekend that provided a much needed respite, but offered so much more than we were expecting. We can’t wait to come back and make this a family tradition though next time we will stay longer and be more prepared with our animal food supplies : )

Stayed at Burt’s place while attending a herding trial in Gardnerville with our dogs. The place was perfect! It was so peaceful and quiet. Kitchen was well stocked and a joy to cook in. The dogs enjoyed the yard. Beds were super comfortable, locals were very nice. The restaurant next door, Stonefly, is pricey but the food and ambiance is excellent. We will definitely be back again!

The house was great and I'd recommend it to people looking for a jumping off point for Yosemite. Super comfy beds, great deck, enjoyable hot tub, beautiful location. Lots to love and we had a great time. A note for potential guests: The community (the Pine Mountain Lake Association) that the house is located within is currently experiencing heavy road work from 4/30/25-7/2/25. We had to wait 20+ mins to get into the neighborhood each time we came back, which was annoying to say the least. Not the fault of the airbnb host, but just FYI on expectations.

We were looking for a private, rustic, yet modern weekend retreat and we found it. The setting was great and the cabin had all the indoor and outdoor amenities we were expecting, plus an expansive deck with comfortable furniture - and a helpful bug zapper!

We absolutely loved the place and can’t wait to rebook! House was super spacious and beautiful location! Lots for the kids to do while the adults had a separate space to unwind! Hosts were extremely responsive and provided all of the information we needed for an enjoyable stay!

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful and restorative weekend away at Elizabeth’s cabin. We loved the decor, well stocked kitchen, and relaxing among the trees in the hot tub. Elizabeth was an excellent host and quick to respond. We also appreciated her local recommendations for wine tasting and hikes. Awesome gem in Camp Connell and would love to stay again.

Nicolas’s home is excellent — clean, spacious, and very comfortable for more than just a short stay. The terrace is great for BBQ, and the shade from the acacia tree makes it perfect for breakfast outdoors. We truly appreciated that the house is pet-friendly. We had two large dogs, and they loved the small fenced area and dog door. Please clean up after your pets if you bring them too. Upstairs has several bedrooms, one with a beautiful sky and forest view. The kitchen is well-equipped (though a few more dishes would be great), laundry is available, and internet is strong. TV works well too. The host lives next door but gives you total privacy. Nicolas was always helpful and respectful. Only two small notes: the house is close to a road (not an issue for us), and we hoped the hot tub was in a more cozy location — we didn’t end up using it. Great location: close to wineries, an apple farm, shops, and gas stations. We visited Sacramento, Sonoma, Napa ,even Lake Tahoe to San Francisco

Great time at the cabin. Quiet neighborhood, 10 minutes from Pinecrest Lake, beautiful decks to enjoy the trees and your coffee. My one caution is there are steps to the front door and it's a Tri-level so its not handicap friendly. If that's not a problem, enjoy that the levels add to the spaciousness and the feeling you are nestled in the treetops. The generous sectional was awesome for a family movie night. Restaurant called Mia's less than 5 minutes away had great pizza. Awesome family cabin and the hosts answered all questions promptly. Really appreciated the pantry, the coffee bar, and the well stocked kitchen!

We had a wonderful time at Kennan’s property! Even though it was raining we were able to take an awesome hike to Lovers Leap. We were also fortunate to be here for the opening of the adorable coffee shop and bar just down the road! (Walking distance). We lived the kitchen table for playing our favorite board games. And they even had a great selection of games to choose from! The beds were very comfortable. We would stay again!

We had an amazing stay at Julie's cabin over the holiday weekend. It was so relaxing and to have the river right outside was so majestic and breathtaking. You have to see it in person to really appreciate the amazing views. Her cabin was just as described and had everything we needed. We felt right at home and the surrounding area was also very nice. Lots of hiking areas and nearby lake. We are already looking forward to coming back.

Wow, this place is serene! It’s quiet and peaceful and exactly what we needed to get away from the huddle and bustle of life. The cabin was charming. The shower was great. The temperature was perfect. The beds were very comfortable. The Brita water pitcher in the fridge was a great touch. The fridge kept everything very cold. The summer camp vibe is there and the scenery is beautiful. We loved daily walks by the river. It was perfect for my dogs. And at night the stars were amazing! About 90 minutes from Yosemite. About 15 minutes from all the stores/grocery you could need. We’d visit again for sure. Thank you for hosting us!

We had 6 girls for a lil reunion trip and it was so fun. This home was so spacious and gorgeous. We loved being so in nature and the big windows make you feel outside even from the couch. Great hosts and no complaints whatsoever! Really easy check in & check out, a binder with lots of recommendations too, and plenty of TP paper towels kitchen utensils etc for us to use. Thank you!

The cabin was just perfect for our stay. Close to town and lots of hiking. We walked from the cabin into Big Trees state park which is a magical place. We would definitely stay here again and hoping to come back with our paddleboards.

Such a beautifully done bungalow! Super cute decor and cozy. Perfect spot to land after a day at the lake or exploring Twain Harte. Host was very communicative, friendly and accommodating.

We had an awesome experience staying at Stefan’s cabin. It was a peaceful and relaxing retreat for the weekend. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet time away from the city.

Beautiful location and cozy cabin in the snow! The snowmobile adventure in and out was fun and we enjoyed cozy nights by the fire and all the board games and puzzles at the cabin. Thank you Stefani!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Robin, the attention to detail was amazing, the home and property were so wonderful to hang out at! The access to the private pool and lake was as an absolute blast and with a number of little kids, we were so pleased by all there was to do at the house! The only thing to note is that the upstairs bedroom does not have a ceiling so you can hear all the activity in the rest of the house very clearly, not a problem in general but can be challenging if little kids or babies are trying to sleep and others are awake, so plan accordingly when packing or assigning bedrooms!

Valerie's place was wonderful. It's in a beautiful and peaceful location. Valerie provided alot of helpful details about the home, the location and things to do. It was so helpful. She checked in with us, the day after we checked in, just to make sure we were doing well. The home is stocked with everything you might need, even things you didn't know you would need. Our trip was a mother/son trip to celebrate my son's high school graduation. Valerie even left a bouquet of balloons for my son to congratulate him on his graduation. Such a thoughtful gesture. Staying at The Hidden Dorr in Arnold was outstanding! Brandy was so kind and helpful in communicating anything we needed to know about the cabin and the surrounding area-truly wonderful host! The cabin!! We felt like we were in a treehouse! We were surrounded by tall, spectacular pines. We appreciated the spacious, yet cozy feel inside. The kitchen was the best appointed of any Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. The bathroom showers had fun, modern fixtures. We loved the 3 sided deck. Meals were mostly eaten there…great steak dinner on the grill! Drive the short distance to Calaveras Big Tree State Park-a must see-awe inspiring! Murphys was an easy drive from the cabin, where great shopping and restaurants are plentiful. Just can’t say enough good things about our stay! Thank you, Brandy, for making this an incredible getaway!

The house is very cozy and clean. It feels very private because the house is surrounded by many trees and there is some distance between the neighboring houses. The host is responsive and accommodating.

We had such a great time staying at this cabin in Mi-Wuk Village! It was super cozy and clean, and the location was perfect—right in the middle of the trees, so it felt really peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were really nice and helpful, and everything was easy to find and use. The cabin had everything we needed comfy beds, a full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, and a fireplace that made the place feel extra homey. We loved sitting out on the deck in the morning with our coffee, just listening to nature. It’s also really close to Pinecrest Lake and some great hiking spots, which was perfect for us. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a chill getaway in the mountains. We already want to come back!

We had a lovely stay at Molly's cabin. Everything was tidy and comfortable. The view over the pond was peaceful.

Loved our stay at Katia’s place. Was the perfect size for 2 families. Lots of beds and everything was clean. Snow right outside the cabin so the kids had a blast the entire time. Just a short drive to go skiing / snowboarding. Would stay again if wanting a place where kids will have snow to play in and easy access to the slopes!
