The cottage was perfect for a long weekend getaway with our dog. It had everything we needed for meals at home and was so cozy. A great launching pad for exploring the Mendocino coastline.

Loved the location in Topanga and the accommodation. Backyard sauna and tub were wonderful. While it’s not totally private back there, it’s good enough.

We had an amazing stay at this peaceful Joshua Tree retreat. The place was clean, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We especially loved stargazing at night and enjoying the quiet desert vibe. The host was communicative and made check-in super easy. Would definitely come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin! It's tucked away on a very private and peaceful piece of property, which made it the perfect escape. The owners clearly put a lot of care and thought into the experience—they went above and beyond to make everything welcoming and comfortable. The cabin was spotless, and it was such a joy and unique opportunity to relax and take in the natural surroundings, especially the gardens. We truly didn’t want to leave and tried to extend our stay, but it was already booked—no surprise, considering how special this place is. We can't wait to come back! The hummingbirds were a bonus!

The Hexagon exceeded my expectations! If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful gateway from the city or just want to be one with nature I would recommend the Hexagon. The property was beautiful - my favorite was the bath tub overlooking the valley. The town of Garberville is quaint and the locals are kind. There are not a lot of options for restaurants but the ones available are delicious. Some of the feedback is me being picky. For example the mattress and couch was okay. There was dog hair on some of the furnitures - kind of expected for a dog friendly accommodation. A microwave and extra toiletries would’ve been nice. Otherwise a great place. My partner and I enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful location, you feel like you’re in a magical realm. The cabin is cute, but it is in the mountains and in the woods so is chilly, make sure to bring sweaters. The hot tub is great, but note that it isn’t a standard hot tub, you sit on the floor of it. Great for us but may be hard for others! I’d highly recommend this spot and we’re thinking about coming again.

This is a unique place for those seeking peace and quiet. (Although we enjoyed the gobble gobble gobble of the wild turkeys very much!) The views across the valley were amazing. The bed was quite comfortable. The site is isolated yet the "regular world" of restaurants and people and a golf course is a short drive away. Bring sunscreen and shady hats!

This was an incredible cabin, and it was crafted and hosted by wonderfully kind people. Sandy will give you a tour and make you feel at home. The view from the cabin was beautiful, and the cabin itself was warm and beautifully crafted. From the detailed tile work in the shower, to the full kitchen and the super comfy bed, we felt like we had a safe and peaceful place to rest in between hiking and swimming. We wish we could have stayed longer! highly recommend booking this property, Sandy and family are great hosts.

This was one of my favorite Airbnb stays—peaceful and serene, nestled among the redwoods. It felt like living in a treehouse.

The place exceeded our expectations — it’s even better than the photos! Clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. We especially loved the music collection, and the kitchen was fantastic — I cooked a steak dinner and it turned out perfectly. One thing to note: there's about a 1,000-foot dirt road leading up to the house. It’s manageable if you’re careful, but encountering it unexpectedly while 500 miles away from home on a multi-day road trip was a bit stressful. Overall, highly recommended!

This is the perfect place for a family with kids, or a girlfriends’ weekend! So spacious! The large kitchen accommodates a lot of activity, and the private yard is perfect for relaxing adults and active children. Wonderful hot tub! We can easily walk the El Dorado Trail into town, or east for a more strenuous walk. Starfield Vineyards is across the street, with trails and gardens, not to mention, great wine. The hosts were responsive, but were hardly necessary, since our needs had been anticipated. I hope to stay at Blue Lead Lodge again soon.

This is our third time staying at Adele and Carlo's pristine mountaintop 5-star retreat. Their resort-like features make you feel like a movie star. Every time I come I look forward to my sauna time while the baby sleeps, our movie nights, cooking in their Michelin-stacked kitchen, and waking up to the sounds of...NOTHING. It's honestly my favorite Airbnb in the world. I highly highly recommend. It's worth the price!

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful A-frame! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by soft music and a welcoming scent that set the perfect tone for a peaceful night. The views were stunning, and we especially loved the unique swing set—such a fun and memorable touch! The property was spotless, with thoughtful amenities like hot cocoa, heated bathroom floors, and easy parking. Communication with the hosts was clear and responsive throughout. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of care into creating a cozy and relaxing retreat. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful cabin! This place is stunning! I came here needing some rest after doing an all day hike at Mariposa Grove. What a safe haven in the middle of a wild gorgeous setting. I can’t wait to come back and bathe in the river again!

Amazing home with lots of space! It was very clean and the host exceeded my expectations. The view from the porch is beautiful and there is so much deck space outside.

Words cannot express how happy my wife and I were with this amazing property and our stay thus past Memorial Weekend. Richard & Jeanie were impeccable hosts and quick to respond and offered an amazing welcome binder and info with suggestions for restaurants and activities as well as information on the National Parks. The cabin has a great central location that is walkable to several restaurants, shops and the river is literally right in your backyard. The place was absolutely pristine and had all of the amenities of a high end hotel and even offered some tasty snacks and have you covered if you happened to forget any essentials. We were also greeted upon entry with a nice card and bottle of wine which was very unexpected and thoughtful from the hosts. This was the perfect weekend getaway for us to have some peace and serenity by the river while sitting in the yard or jacuzzi and watch rafters go by, a plethora of bird life and a tranquil view. We will return again soon.

we loved the tree house, a great place to unwind after a long drive. really convenient for Avila Beach which is only a short walk away. Thank you John for your recommendations, all very helpful.

We were so happy with this unique and artistic home! It was close enough to town to be convenient, but also far enough to feel like a getaway. Debbie and Lavender are wonderful hosts—we were so pleasantly surprised by the welcome basket. So lovely!

These amazing humans have such a lovely property and are so very welcoming. My Sister and I had an absolute blast reconnecting with the land and each other, and the surroundings were to die for such a beautiful place to connect with nature.

Paulette was very helpful leaving plenty of instructions and suggestions for the area. The location was well kept and had everything we needed. The only problem was that some of the lights weren’t working or the light bulb was out but that’s an easy fix. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a quieter get away and enjoy being by the water

We thank Bibi for our wonderful vacation in a wonderful house in the mountains. A mountain stream is rustling under the window of the house and tall cedars are growing around. Inside, the house is paneled with wood and tastefully furnished in a vintage style. A wonderful place to feel far away from all worries. There is everything you need in the kitchen and in everyday life, it would be great to add a microwave. When we arrived, there was a smell of closed house inside. Therefore, upon arrival, you need to open the doors for a while and refresh air in the house. For entertainment, there is a large cabinet with good films and board games. The children were very happy. The heart of the house is a beautiful fireplace. Unfortunately, it was hot, and we did not try it. But this is not a problem, because we will definitely come back again!

A great place to use as base for exploring Sequoia Nat’l Park. Jana is proactive about local area suggestions for provisions and dining. She also has all basic provisions you could need upon arrival as listed. A nice big deck for afternoon relaxing with a great view of Moro Rock just right outside your door. The drive up is a bit intimidating on the first pass but after that it becomes comfortable. We’d happily stay here again if in the area.
