Dome vacation rentals in California

We did a friends weekend getaway to Paso Robles, and Steven's place was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The house completely blew us away with its cool architecture, artistic furnishings and stunning 360 views of the surrounding vineyards. We loved how the dome shape emphasized communal spaces making cooking and socializing a breeze. Nothing we wanted to do or see in Paso was more than a short drive away but honestly we could have never left the Dome all weekend and been perfectly happy. Thank you Steven for curating this unique space!

Excellent spot to get away from the crowds, yet so close to the beach and everything lovely about San Diego.

The descriptions of this place were so nice I thought there must be some sort of catch— I was wrong! It was lovely. While they are in a neighborhood, the houses are spaced a good distance apart, and they are on a slight hill with a large amount of land behind, giving the effect of being in the middle of nowhere with gorgeous views. In fact, you are a short drive from the main drag in Yucca Valley.

Coreys dome house is the best styled Airbnb I have rented- its gorgeous with tasteful and interesting art & curiosities. It feels more like staying in a cool friends' home than a rental home. We took great use of the hot tub and well equipped kitchen and the very convenient entrance to Joshua Tree Park.

My friends and I had a great time at this place! Tony was great and communicative when I had questions! If you plan to cook here, remember to bring your extra spices since there is only salt and pepper! Loved the spiral staircase and it was just a great experience! Would definitely recommend and come back!

Place is great - especially all the outdoor spaces. Almost like a spa with the hot tub (which worked perfectly and was spotless). 2nd bedroom a little tight and no bathroom attached but minor inconveniences given the cool house design.

This place was wonderful! It has such a cozy and comfortable vibe. It was clean, VERY well stocked with anything we could possibly need, and so cute! I can’t think of anything that could have made it better, other than maybe a longer trip to stay there. I would absolutely recommend the dome to others.

We had a beautiful stay! Was so fun being so close to the coast and our favorite town Trinidad :) The dome house was cozy and enjoyable and my grandson loved that swing of course :) my dogs loved the little trails around the property and my children loved to sit around the fire pit. And of course the wonderful shower :) Made for a wonderful and memorable stay. Thank you folks for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful oasis ! You are blessed w a beautiful homestead! This is the most unique place I’ve ever stayed. We were there only for a night and it wasn’t enough to try every amenity. I couldn’t recommend it more.

Ben’s space was absolutely stunning! The home was spotless, and its secluded location offered a perfect retreat while still being close to great activities—all conveniently listed in a binder for easy access. Communication was seamless, and the check-in/check-out process was effortless. I’ll definitely be booking again for my next Joshua Tree getaway!

Booked the stargazing dome to get away from the city and see the planets. We booked mid January and knew that it would be cold, we brought warm sleeping bags just in case but Erica stocked extra warm blankets and had us covered! The bed was SO COMFY. I usually bring my own pillow but didn’t even need to use it bc the bedding was perfect. We came in an hour before sunset and were able to say hi to the animals, Fifi the goat was so cute! The grill was handy to make some dinner as the sun was setting. The toilet was clean! Did not use the shower. They provided some water and hot chocolate which was the perfect companion. Although the window/see-through part of the dome doesn’t have curtains, you are far enough towards the back of the ranch to feel privacy. You can hear the relaxing bubbling of the creek at night.

It was a great stay! Driveway was a little tricky, but just follow the notes and the video and you will be fine!

At the end of the year I like to do a little retreat to unwind from responsibilities and routines. The Dome in Garden Valley was the perfect place for that. This location is a peaceful respite from city living that encapsulates the beauty of the Sierra Foothills. The Dome is a marvel unto itself with it's expansive interior and unique design. I was never left wanting during my stay here, whether that be for amenities or inspiration for journaling. The host, Gaurav, was also very responsive if I had any questions or concerns. All in all, I'd love to come back here.

We had a 10/10 stay at the White Owl House. The space is clean, beautifully decorated, and private. There are tons of fun activities on the property to keep you busy and entertained. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. It was difficult to see the stars through the dome, however, it was a great space when it gets windy or chilly at night to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. The house was close to many of the restaurants and the local national park. Highly recommend, would stay here again.

This unique getaway was wonderful!! We had a quiet romantic mini-vacation and were able to enjoy the peace and quiet. There were wild turkeys wondering around, a relaxing hot tub, and the bed was extremely comfortable! Exactly what we needed! Thank you!

What an absolute treat to stay at Rebecca and Tom's Philo Dome! From the inviting, clean, and spacious home, to the gorgeous property, to the hot tub (!) and blooming lilacs, their place is a dream. On this particular trip to the Anderson Valley we were traveling with another couple and their child so we needed a slightly bigger place to stay. The Philo Dome was perfect for our group of six. It is well stocked in all the things you need (towels, toiletries, kitchen gadgets and basic supplies) and it has plenty of room for folks to lounge or play games or whatever without feeling like you're competing for space. The outdoor space was magical--a large deck for stargazing, a babbling creek, and beautiful, tall trees surrounding the property. Communication with Rebecca was easy. This has easily become one of our favorite places to stay in the Anderson Valley and look forward to visiting the Dome again.

This house is incredible. We have stayed at probably 25 or 30 Airbnb‘s in the past four or five years and this is for sure in the top three. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is well supplied, the furniture and hangout spaces are great, close to everything in the area, and there is simply nothing that compares to the observatory. It is absolutely incredible. Can’t even describe it adequately. Just come stay here!!! And fantastic hosts!!!

The home was great for our two families (4 adults and 4 kids, one of the kids is less than 2 years old). It had a dedicated play room downstairs which was very very well stocked with board games, sleds, wii games complete with a lot of accessories, and snowball making tools. The backyard was also huge and the kids were able to build an ice mountain, have a snowball fight, and make snow angels without having to leave the property. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking pots / pans / counter appliances / tea / coffee. The only comment I will make is that the 4th room (the second room on the top floor with a queen bed) is not actually enclosed. There is a wall and a door but the wall stops before it reaches the ceiling. That means that the bedroom is subject to all the noise of everything going on in the living space. It was perfectly fine for us as we put the baby in another room but just something to be mindful of.

After our wedding a few days prior, my husband (!) and I were looking for someplace relaxing and inspiring to stay - and Pavlina’s home did not disappoint! It’s hard to put into words how just COOL it is to be existing amongst the windmills, staring at the beauty of the San Jacinto mountains. I booked the spot thinking my husband, an architect, would appreciate the decor - and omg, all he did was run me around from this chair to that table, explaining this style and that designer… to say that he was excited is an understatement. We appreciated the meticulous and creative detailing of the space (down to the flatware!), loved the book collection, and how easy of an experience it was checking in/out. Our only wish is that we had more time to chill in the space, to read, write, create… to really absorb and take it all in. Definitely an experience to remember!

This was our second trip to the dome home & we loved it just as much, if not more! There was a new kitchen counter and sink which were so lovely and very helpful for cooking & cleanup! As always- love the view from the bathroom!! Our dogs had a great time with all of the hikes, smells and it was very helpful to have the fenced in yard as well! The hammock in the dome was my favorite part this trip so while we’re getting ready for bed, we had a nice relaxing hang sesh! 11/10- and we plan to continue to visit every year!

Our stay at this Airbnb was great! The farm animals were definitely a plus for us. They were so friendly and spend a good amount of time hanging out with them. The place felt cozy and peaceful. Would come back again!

This a really polished, new AirBnb with all of the premium amenities that you'd associate with the Joshua Tree experience (the sauna and geodome were exceptional). This unit is small, has a great layout. The couch and beds are comfortable. There's a Bluetooth speaker that I loved so much I would use that to play music instead of the TV. The appliances all work well and there's an insane amount of hot water. The A/C unit is extremely quick and responsive for both heating and cooling. The property around the unit is expansive. You see enough cars and horseback riders at a distance that you never quite feel alone, but it was a wonderful place to stroll around at sunset. The main annoying feature is that it's down a dirt road. You would be fine with a sedan, but any car on that road has to drop to 10-20 mph. To avoid bumps: Take Cascade and turn right onto Two Mile. Or, if you take Sunfair, turn right on Pipeline, left on Cascade, right onto Two Mile.
