Family-friendly vacation rentals in La Veleta

Fantastic host, fantastic place!

We truly enjoyed the two villas for our week stay at Tulum. We couldn't of had a more convenient location. The major markets were minutes away along with the beaches and downtown. I appreciated the recommendations that Jadar sent us during our stay. My entire family had plenty of room for sleeping, relaxing and cooking. We also took advantage of washing since we had traveled from another stay in Mexico. I also appreciated the water jugs that were there and a few cold drinks in the fridge. The air conditioned homes were great to return to after a tiring day out and about. The security guards at the entrance were also very friendly and helpful. We would recommend Kristian's place to our family and friends and would return again ourselves.

Beautiful setting, looks just like the photos. We had everything we needed and Diego was very responsive and helpful, he even gave as a little late check out. The beds are comfortable and so is the couch, the shower was hot and had good water pressure . I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful beautiful place to spend their vacation

The spectacular terrace with its private pool, the view it has is very nice, it has only one bed, however it has a very long armchair where up to two people can sleep, very clean, I would stay here again if I go back to Tulum

The place is very clean and very quiet. When you are in your private rooftop, it’s amazing and very private that you can sun bathe with clothing optional. No electricity issues but Cobá Ave have rolling black outs. There are near places to eat. We had no problems with the other units as most of the guests are very respectful. We recommend this AirB&B.

We had a great stay. It was nicely decorated, it felt like we were in a home. It was clean and fresh. We really enjoyed the rooftop with the huge bath. During the day is was a bit too hot to be on there, but from 03:00 pm it’s really nice up there. The kids loved it. It’s a very nice addition to the house. The only thing was the extractor hood in the kitchen was too low for us. So we bumbed our head quite a couple of times. Further everything was great.

We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous property. It was beautifully decorated, looked out onto the pool area, and had a very well-equipped kitchen. Excellent restaurant downstairs next to the pool (NYC-ish prices as w/ much of trendy Tulum). The check in and check out process were effortless, and Manuel was easy to reach via WhatsApp. We also felt very safe as security was often around. A few important things to note: the water is not potable (as with many places in Tulum) but huge supermarket where you can buy water is nearby; the property is in a new development between the beach and town so you will need a car for maximum flexibility (though you can call taxis); and the restaurant downstairs is separate so you can’t “charge” any bills to your room. Again, lovely stay if you’re looking for a luxurious, large property and don’t mind traveling to the beach.

Yep...the other reviewers were right. Amazing superhosts...easy to find and access...all listed amenities; aplenty. It sets you in (to the downtown area) easily. Later I will move elsewhere (larger) but it's great for 1-2 people. Unfortunately, I saw THREE dogs next door and my heart sank thinking the noise is going to just ruin it all. I gave it some time and for being 3 dogs they were NOT that bad; mostly quiet and just when I was going to mention it sometimes, they stopped. Fortunately (jinxproof), that person and the dogs moved anyways after ~2 weeks. It's actually pretty quiet around here mostly. Super cozy place. I'm using the bike a LOT. Unfortunately; the internet went out for an UNGODLY 6.7 days and I'm an online entrepreneur/nomad so it's like lifeblood. I know this was not the hosts fault whatsoever but they did their part AND after the main power grid for it was fixed at 6 days for neighbors, but this wasn't Francisco was a rockstar and hired someone to get on-site-Thx!

Denisse and house manager Frankie was amazing! She allowed my guest to check in when we had missed our flights. She was very responsive and proactive when we were needing help, she sent Frankie right away. Even helped with transportation and exchanging currency. I recommend the chef services that Denisse recommends for the house food 10/10. Everything dealing with the house was perfect. It’s close to certain local things but Is some distance from popular attractions in Tulum. Would stay again!

This was our second spring vacation we spent at Villa Silvestre and Loved it! It’s. Such a hidden gem in south Tulum. It’s a quiet little sanctuary which is well appointed, great pool, super sweet staff and Agustina is so helpful and wonderful. Can’t wait to return!

I had an incredible month-long stay at this Airbnb in Tulum’s La Veleta neighborhood. The area is filled with amazing restaurants, all within walking distance. I loved that I could explore the neighborhood entirely on foot—it's very safe and walk-friendly. The experience was everything I hoped for, and I’m already looking forward to coming back soon!

We had an amazing stay at Susan’s place in Tulum! The house was perfect for our large group of 12 - spacious enough for everyone to hang out together but also have their own private areas when needed. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to buy groceries and cook meals at home. The property felt very secure, and there was convenient parking for those who had cars. The on-site staff were incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay. A huge shoutout to Susan, who went above and beyond by helping me plan a dinner party for 21 people! Everything - from the food and staff to the location and DJ - was a total hit. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone visiting Tulum, especially if you're traveling with a group. We’ll definitely be back!

This place was perfect. really family friendly atmosphere. the neighbors are amazing. The pool was always perfect. The house was well stocked with extras. Everything was as described and more. We loved it so much we requested to extend. Ms. Christina is the perfect host. Rachel was also fabulous and flexible.

Roxie was the best Airbnb host I’ve ever had. She made everything easy for us and helped us with anything we wanted to do. Incredibly accommodating. The house looks just like the pictures and the outdoor space is great place to hang out. Located in a good area with a few places within walking distance. I couldn’t recommend this house more.

We had a wonderful stay at Veronica's Airbnb! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing. Veronica went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and made us feel truly welcome. Communication was smooth and prompt, which made the entire experience stress-free. We would definitely recommend this stay to others and look forward to coming back in the future!

We had a great time at Eduardo’s place. It’s like an oasis in the middle of the street, peaceful, private but extremely well situated with many bars and restaurants within close walking distance. As previous reviews have mentioned you can hear the music from some of the local bars at night but it’s nothing a pair of earplugs couldn’t fix. Check in was easy too, we were able to arrive early and we were met by William who was very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Very close to Chedraui which is a big plus, you can even walk there. Around 15 minutes walk to the city center. The only issue that I had was with the running water that was irregular for a couple of days, but it was the city’s fault and it was solved.

An excellent place for family vacations. In a very exclusive area with modern constructions and with all the amenities at hand. You can walk to the pharmacy or the store. The apartment is just like the photos, very clean and tidy, air conditioning working properly. Highly recommended!!!!!!

We stayed here right after arriving in Mexico from Belgium and I couldn't think of a better place to relax, swim off the jetlag and enjoy the start of our holiday. The property is beautifully designed, plenty of space and is beautifully maintained. The swimming pool water was the cleanest and purest we experienced during our whole Mexico trip! Good shower, well-equipped kitchen and plenty of drinking water available. We'll be back :)

This place has the best rooftop spot to see the sunset. We literally stayed there every day around sunset time to watch the 360 view. I wish I can share pictures.
