Kid-friendly vacation rentals in La Palmyre, Les Mathes

Carmen is a great host, very responsive, helpful and friendly. Her place is fab, in a great location by the lagoon. As two families we enjoyed the privacy of the ensuite room with separate entrance. Having another ensuite and separate bathroom worked well for us. The main space with a little kitchen area at the back was well used too, opening out onto the terraces with ever changing views of the sea and amazing sunsets. The only issue, out of our host's control, was the bugs - mosquitoes weren't repelled by our repellent or deterred by long clothes, and the gnats and wasps were also persistent during the sunny weather. La Plage restaurant, two doors along, is welcoming for drinks and great seafood. There is an obstacle course and exercise route just along the prom for the kids as well as a baguette machine and another restaurant which rarely seemed to be open! Lidl, E Leclerc and Intermarche are within 10 mins drive. La Rochelle and Cognac within 1 hour. We would happily return.

Wow, this is a wonderful place. I would give it 10 stars if I could. The three totally private gites are in a private park with lots of trees and wild life. We stayed in the garden suite and it was like having your own home. We enjoyed having a dip in the heated pool. The beautiful Port-d’Envaux village is a two minute stroll away. Céline is a delightful hostess. We have stayed in dozens of bnb accommodations around the world - this one is the best by far.

Very nice stay at this family home. Access to the beach is ideal with children, no need to take the car. Everything is designed to host a family. Pleasant sea views in the living rooms. Very easy communication, was able to meet our needs. We'll be happy to go back!

There are homes that we love and forget, but at Janick's, it's different, we love, we adore, we appreciate the home, and above all, we don't forget it. The hosting was very warm. The house is extraordinary; it is very well arranged for people with reduced mobility. We were superbly welcomed. Everything was perfect. Janick gave us some great recommendations for visits and restaurants. We highly recommend this host. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to both of you.

Berthe Sandra's apartment is very cozy, tastefully furnished. Very clean, very comfortable bedding. You feel good there, also very quiet. Finally, Sandra's hosting was perfect and very caring. If we come back to the area we'll know where to put our suitcases. We highly recommend this listing.

Functional accommodation. It is close to the center and the beach, it is very convenient, you can do everything on foot. Check-in is very easy, everything is well explained and Lucie responds to messages very quickly. I totally recommend it. A little extra would be a clothesline, and then it would be perfect. ☺️

We had a lovely time at Lisa's, the location is really great, the apartment is very charming. It is well-equipped for babies (our son is 15 months old) with high chair, stair gate, etc. Very nice with the terrace and all the windows.

Beautiful studio, very clean and well-equipped, with a good real bed and a small terrace. Well located, close to the beaches of Vaux-sur-Mer and Saint-Palais, easily accessible on foot as well as shops. We also enjoyed the calm, the view of the trees framing a small stretch of sea and the reserved parking. In addition, the host welcomes us in person, for once it's not a lockbox, it's appreciable.

We had a lovely stay in Florence and Nicolas' cozy studio, it's close to the sea and the street is free for parking. Florence was super responsive, gave us plenty of addresses and the accommodation was tastefully decorated and with little extras in one word: TOP!!!! Thanks

Overall we had a nice stay. Apartment located close to all amenities, very appreciable private parking. Bus stop close to the residence. Very pleasant apartment to stay in, very quiet in May. Beautiful walks nearby on the coastal trail. We would recommend it.

We were delighted with our stay. The apartment matches the photos point by point. Small but very functional kitchen with all utensils, nothing missing.
