Family-friendly vacation rentals in La Herradura

At Casa Lopez, we stayed for 1.5 months as 5 adults, a child, and a dog. Occasionally, we were up to 10 people, but space was never an issue. The villa is beautiful with stunning views of the mountains and surroundings. The mountain road to the villa adds charm, and the place feels comfortable and safe—even accessible with a Fiat 500. The villa is more spacious than the photos suggest. Rafael, the host, showed us all the amenities: pool, Jacuzzi, and game room—all in perfect order. We also worked from the villa using the internet without any issues. The area is picturesque, close to beaches, mountains, and towns, with plenty to do. The hosts are very kind and helpful, even recommending a mechanic when needed. After 1.5 months, we still felt their warmth and friendliness. Leaving Casa Lopez was emotional for us. So, I recommend the villa for vacations, as well as a place where after work you can open some wine and jump into the pool. I wish everyone an equally wonderful stay.

Lovely traditional house in a fantastic location. Great outside areas with beautiful views. Kitchen had everything one could need. Everything was very clean and there were plentiful supplies of towels and comfortable beds. Perfect!

It was really special to stay in this apartment. Extremely hospitable and attentive hosts – when I felt bad, they were worried about my well-being and offered to help, which was very nice. The apartment was clean, well equipped and located in a picturesque mountain area. The views from the property were breathtaking, and the surroundings were conducive to relaxation. The perfect place to relax in the midst of nature. Highly recommend!

Stunning AirB&b. What a place. The pictures don’t do it justice. We wanted somewhere where we didn’t really need to leave (apart from supermarket shops) and this was just the spot. Everything clean and a super responsive host who even gave us local recommendations. The villa was just like home and we had a super family holiday. We had everything we needed for the kids and the adults. The hammock was super relaxing and our favourite place to hang! Thank you very much Ana.

We had a lovely few days in José's place. place was just like the photos, very clean and José was always on hand if we had any issues or to offer local recommendations.

Beautiful apartment with fantastic views from the large terrace. Two spacious bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with bath and 1 with shower), excellent kitchen with lots of (cooking) utensils. Also a spacious living room with sitting and dining area. There are many extra things in the house: beach umbrella, deck chairs, lots of towels, kitchen utensils, etc. The enclosed complex has a beautiful garden and large swimming pool with lawn around it. Beach and restaurants are in walking distance. The only downside (if we have to name one) is that the garage has very small parking spaces, but there was plenty of space on the public road!

Great terrace and outdoor area - the view is indescribable. The only shortage in the apartment was basic cleaning supplies, dish brushes, dishwashing tabs, etc. The location is unique and has good local shopping and restaurants. The coffee shop in front of the apartment is clearly recommendable. We'd love to come back.

We had a very nice time staying in Robbie’s apartment. We especially loved the location right in front of the sea and that it was very close to the restaurants and cafes in La Herradura. It was also very nice to have a small treat and drinks package ready for us when we arrived. Thank you to Robbie for a great stay.

We've been here three days and we couldn't have been more comfortable. The apartment is in a magnificent location with bars, supermarkets and, above all, the beach a few meters away. Also everything was spotless. A great option for a getaway or longer stays.

We loved our stay in this tiny Andalusian village in the hills. It was in a peaceful and beautiful location. We felt so at home there and loved the traditional feel to the house. We ate outside every mealtime, enjoying the views from the wonderfully spacious garden and made the most of the pool. We ventured out to Competa and visited a great new restaurant (by day) and also a trendy insta worthy bar (by night) called Adrianos. We also visited the coast once (be careful not to take the small mountain road back. Big mistake on our part!). We knew the parking was on the road, but the access steps to the house are uneven and steep which was not a problem in the slightest for my husband and but proved a struggle for my mother in law and her wonky hip! Maybe make that clearer for those who find access tricky. All in all, we loved it here and are so grateful for the handy hints offered by the owners so promptly. We hope to return with our grown up children next year! Thank you.

The house is very good for a stay in Cómpeta, not far from the city center, with fairly easy parking, 100 meters away, The terrace has amazing views, The neighborhood is quiet Great

What a fantastic place with amazing surroundings. We loved it so much. The incredible views, the lovely various cosy places to sit outside and chill at the pool or BBQ. Hiking up the mountain behind the house was a surprising lovely walk with a perfect 360 view on top. Amazing mango trees everywhere and lovely flowers all around. We just love this Andalusian hidden gem!

The host was very helpful and friendly, very responsive. A very private villa with amazing views and the surrounding area of nature makes this place the perfect location to relax and have a real break from the city, highly recommended to those who are just looking to unwind and have some time off from everything & everyone. Stayed with 2 families, both with a baby. Very easy that high chairs, cribs, and some toys were provided. Some bedrooms contain shutters that could make it nice and dark, which, together with the air conditioning, helped the little ones sleep well. Very much enjoyed the tranquility, spacious, swimming pool, BBQ. Easy way there, and plenty to do in the area (beach, Granada, Frigiliana, etc.). Unfortunately, probably due to the sudden rise in temperatures, a lot of flies around the house/on the terrace but no one can do anything about it. It was very nice that Sonia acted proactively by bringing some resources to combat them. Communication very easy and fast, both she and her husband are very friendly. Highly recommended!

This apartment is truly a place to relax and recharge! Super quiet and with a beautiful green environment. There is a lemon tree in the garden and occasionally mountain goats came by to graze. The terrace is a dream, the view of the sea and the different moods of daylight is simply magical. Brigitte, who looked after us, was always very friendly, helpful and responded immediately. The path to the sea and then back was a bit too long with our kids, so we usually took the car and used the numerous parking spaces directly on the sea. The surroundings are picturesque and since we were there in May, we could marvel at the beautiful flowers. We felt very comfortable and would definitely come back or recommend the apartment:-)

We had a wonderful week in La Herradura with our families and children. Villa worked great for me, my brother's family, and my parents. There was a common space to spend time and also have your own peace. Children were lured out of the pool to take a break :) . The landscapes were absolutely magnificent and the Villa was beautiful and clean and there were a lot of activities in the surrounding area. Thank you!

Francisco's place was amazing, very clean, great views of the bay, comes with all the needed amenities. He did a great job communicating with me and was always very responsive when it came to my needs and inquiries 5 Stars!!

Wonderful house, spacious and decorated with pleasure. Environment of exuberant nature. Very spacious garden with a variety of trees and plants, views of the mountains, fountains, orchards, bird songs. The host is very kind. The ideal site for a relaxing retreat in a little known and surprising corner of the Sierra, surrounded by small towns and a half hour drive from the city of Granada and the Coast.
