Tiny house vacation rentals in Kern River

Cozy cabin outside of Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Park. Place was perfect for our needs to be able to unplug from daily life. Kimberli was friendly and helpful with any needs we had. Was always responsive.

Jim and Karen were so nice to lend us an ATV to help move our things when we decided not to test our car on the final hill to the cabin. They checked in on us frequently before and during our stay. The cabin is cozy and private, and there was plenty of firewood available. We had a lovely long weekend, and our dog loved the snow!

This was a gorgeous place to stay! And being so close to the park entrance was amazing. Paul’s whole ranch was so good for exploration and the private little river swimming places were awesome. Definitely will be coming back as everything was so fun and relaxing.

This cabin was in the most unbelievable surroundings, I never knew that such a beautiful landscape existed here in California. We were all blown away by the greenery, flowers, everything in bloom. The cabin also exceeded my expectations; I did not expect to have wifi, a washer & dryer, and central heating/cooling in such surroundings and was pleasantly surprised. My only regret is not staying longer.

Perfect location for a single traveler, or a cozy couple. I loved every bit of this place. Easy, safe location with in-front parking. Private fenced in patio which was PERFECT as I was travelling with my dog. While small, the compact organization was masterful. I actually snapped some pictures so I could remember what I loved and try to replicate it at home. Every detail was considered and well executed. Even a card and nice welcome basket upon my arrival! Five stars. Would definitely stay here again.

We could hear the gentle sound of the river at night. I’d describe the hike down to it as a floral cascade that rivals the beauty of middle-earth. Jana is a great host. We should all count ourselves lucky that she has chosen to share and care for this beautiful nook of the world.

5 stars across the board! Clear instructions, responsive host. The property is gorgeous, we appreciated the peace and quiet away from the city. Feeding the piggies, walking around the property taking in the sights & soaking some sun in the hammock were all highlights. Jen & Pete left a sweet card and little treats too! Very thoughtful. We had a lovely stay at Merrilee’s Birdhouse tiny cabin after a few nights camping by the Giant Sequoias. The comfortable bed and view of the mountains was spectacular and peaceful. The property is primarily an animal sanctuary. Upon arriving, we were greeted by two adorable rescue dogs, a cat and some chickens. Later on, we met a couple of horses and a sheep. The cleverly designed outdoor shower is a treat not to be missed. Being off-grid, the outhouse has a five gallon bucket with a toilet seat attached for when nature calls. This is a much better alternative than using our precious freshwater resources. We greatly appreciated our hosts thoughtfulness and ingenuity. If we’re ever back in the area, we would hope to be fortunate enough to have the opportunity to spend another night or two at the sanctuary again.

Bryan’s ‘Monkey Flower Ranch’ is an incredible, beautiful, unique place to stay. The main cabin and tiny houses are so well built and cosy. The property they sit on is picturesque and the surrounding mountains and stream are breathtaking. I highly recommend staying there and experiencing all it has to offer. The stars are night are epic, showering in the semi outdoor shower is so lovely and sitting down by the stream is so relaxing and peaceful. Communicating with Bryan was also always easy and he was helpful at every turn. Thanks for everything mate! Joel

Immaculate retreat with beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Very close to the entrance of the Sequoia National Park, couldn’t have asked for more!

We spend few days at the property Red Onion. The house was very clean,comfortable,beautiful designed. There was an amazing view from the house over the lake Isabel. The house had everything what we needed. Thanks to the owner and management of the property. We are looking forward to come back.

What a wonderful place!! Meredith gave great instructions (listen to her and don’t follow gps!!) and the cabin was adorable. Definitely bring groceries as there isn’t anything nearby and soak up the surroundings! The creek is beautiful! There’s a cute table and chairs to eat outside, and a small bbq. The kitchen is perfect to cook small meals and yes, there’s a coffee maker! Meredith was responsive and answered all our questions. She also let us know about a storm rolling in which was appreciate as the area is very remote. You’re about two hours from the entrance to Sequoia and two and a half from Kings - highly recommend planning a day to do one or two days to do both.

Loved our stay at Greg’s place! Had all we needed for a family of four, areas of the home are well thought out! Just enough snow near the home for the kiddos to stay busy for hours, plus a porch area and grill! Perfection!

Awesome place if you're visiting Kings Canyon and Sequoia NP. Really easy to find, smooth check-in. Be sure to download the map of the area as cell phone service can be limited. Also note that utensils and plates might not be available, so if you're bringing something to heat up in the microwave, have your own plates and silverware. They do own a coffee shop in the property where you can get those items, but if you're doing a late check-in, that will not be an option.

Cozy home with peaceful surroundings. The kitchen area has everything we needed. The spice collection defintely impressed us. We also appreciated the intentional selection and organization of utensils - clean and simple. Cute bathroom with lots of towels. Shelly was friendly and responsive throughout our stay. I really loved my time spent here. The bungalow is sooooo cute. Having coffee on the balcony overlooking the River and mountains was a great memory. Hosts were wonderful as were their furry friends. Excellent location to go into the park. I will be staying here again!

I had a wonderful and relaxing stay! The space was incredibly comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully put together—everything I needed was right at my fingertips. It felt like a true home away from home. Communication was smooth, and check-in was a breeze. I’d absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

This place was better than described. I'm sure the creek by the house varies in size depending on time of year, but we lucked out. The creek was full and the sound of the water was so lovely, especially to sleep to. You also had views of the lake from the house, and just a quick drive to get to it. The house is great. I love the MCM vibes, and appreciated the matching decor. We spent most of our time on the big screened in deck. We ate all our meals out there, and enjoyed coffee and cocktails. Loved the hot tub, which heated up quickly. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms had nice touches, like cordless charging lamps. We really enjoyed our stay, and my friend is planning her next trip already. We also really appreciated an easy check out. Some rentals really ask you to do too much at checkout, along with a hefty cleaning fee you've already paid. Would recommend booking this place.

I Stayed a few nights. Very nice place the minute I was on the property I felt at home. Sweet personal messages on the board, and bathroom were touching . They have gone above and beyond to make the space comfortable. Convenient and close to the freeway just needs a bit more maintenance and cleanliness.
