Hobbit Hole, a private cabin for 2 on Bear Creek

AnjaliRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We had a lovely time staying at the Hobbit Hole cabin for our getaway from Seward. The cabin was super cute and had all the amenities we needed, including a little smores gift! Sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee, listening to the creek, and watching the falling leaves was so magical. The Dirty Skillet restaurant was a culinary delight. The staff was super nice, the bar offered a bunch of local Alaskan brews, and a variety of foods. We got Dusty Road Rice Balls, the Big Sexy Kahuna Tuna Poke bowl, the "Thai Me Up" coconut veggie curry, and shared the flourless chocolate cake. SO AMAZING. We will definitely be back!

Bridge Cabin, your own Alaska home by the creek

JessicaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This was my 1st time visiting Hope, 5th time in Alaska since 2020. I loved this space! Bear Creek was enchanting and whimsical to me. I enjoyed the quiet town. The walk to the bathroom did not bother me even though this cabin is the farthest away. We made our meals in the cabin so didn't get a chance to check out the restaurant but will definitely be back. If you have any heat going, the loft gets far too hot so it was nice to have a bed and an extra pullout on the main floor. This is the kind of Alaska that I like to experience.

Bowman's Cabin, 2-BR home right on Bear Creek

KatyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
The cabin was perfect for our girls get away! Jeannine had great recommendations for us, a paint night in the main lodge and brunch Sunday morning. We walked to a concert down the street and ate all our meals at the restaurant on the grounds, The Dirty Skillet. Every employee at the campground was delightful! Will definitely be going back!

Great cabin in beautiful mountain setting. Very clean and comfortable space with great views on all sides. Loved the paths with the little houses and other decor. Jeff was very welcoming and helpful in pointing us to some good spots for the next day. We will definitely look to come back on our next trip through.

Grizzly Ridge - Cabin #4

SamanthaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The cabin is almost as beautiful as the view! It had all the little things like coffee, shampoo/conditioner, dishes, etc that make the stay that much easier. The store nearby had necessities and convenient gas station too. Definitely will stay again if I'm in the area!

Grizzly Ridge - Kenai River Cabin

We were at Dakota’s cabins to rest in a beautiful place as part of a long trip. We especially appreciated the cleanliness and the full kitchen as we like to self-cater. We have already booked another stay at Dakota’s cabins. Dakota is friendly, understanding and nice.

Eagle Landing - Riverlodge Cabin

KosaliRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay. The location is great — right off the highway but set back enough we don’t see or hear the road. Several other cabins in the resort but we had clear views. Walkable to center of town, adventure tour operators and restaurants. Rooms are very comfortable , shades block out light well at night , fireplace and grill were very useful and kitchen was spacious. There are places to sit and enjoy river views. Walkable to Slaughteridge trail. Troutfitters ( fishing store nearby) set us up for lake fishing about 10 miles away even though river is still closed for fishing. We also found a great kayak rental nearby. Our host was very kind , understanding and very responsive. Would definitely stay again.

One Person Cozy Cabin with Free Pancakes!

FrankRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Truly a wonderful experience. The on site host Adrienne was welcoming and made me feel right at home, offered helpful recommendations for things to do both locally and in other parts of the state. Loved the lighthearted character of the Nauti Otter. The single bed cabin was exactly what I needed for a good night’s rest between hikes, and the shared kitchen and living room were great for meeting and exchanging stories with other travelers. Everything was clean and well-kept. Would definitely stay here again!

The Ledge at Granite Point

MollyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Truly incredible place. The view is breathtaking - you can stare at it all day and watch the wildlife. We saw orcas, humpback whales, sea lions, seals, sea otters and a variety of birds all day long. It seemed like every time I looked outside some sea critters were playing in the ocean right below. So awesome. The stairs as others have said are a challenge but not dangerous, just a good workout! And they go by quickly. The cabin is well stocked with kitchenware / plates. My only suggestion for those traveling is to bring a personal blanket for sitting on the deck. I was surprised how much time we spent doing that. It just never got old. Definitely try the sea kayaks - such an awesome excursion. Overall a truly incredible place. Especially for adventurous spirits that want to experience tranquility. I hope to go back someday soon!

The Sitka cabin, newly remodeled!

RhondaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our stay in this well-equipped, cozy, recently updated cabin a few miles outside Seward. There were thoughtful touches throughout, helpful instructions re: the equipment (humidifier, heater, smart TV, etc) and a binder of local pamplets highlighting local businesses. We appreciated the comfortable bed, clean shower and bathroom, full kitchen, small interesting library of Alaska travel resources and books, and the pet friendly policies. On a sunny afternoon between events at the Seward Seabird Festival, we enjoyed a relaxing picnic with friends in the shared space between the cabins. Blaine and Jaime were friendly and proactive in reaching out, responsive to any concerns, but never instrusive. As long time Alaskans and former Sewardites, we were pleased to see this well-maintained and high value lodging option available to travelers in the area. Highly recommend!

Locally made log cabin.

Our second stay here and we loved it as much as the first time. Our toddler lovingly calls this cabin the bear house and was excited to return.
