This is a stand-alone loft. The place is decorated in a Boat theme! It's very close to town but yet far enough you don't hear all the noise when you are heading to bed. We are surrounded by woods. Have campfire pits, barbecuers available for use sit back and relax with your family. Keep in mind the low ceiling in the livingroom and sloped ceiling throughout. Also a 4 plex and 3 cabins on the property. Note this unit has LOW Ceiling in the livingroom. .

The location was perfect, offering easy access to local attractions while still being a peaceful retreat at the end of the day. The Cottage on the Bay was unbelievable! Upon arrival we commented the only thing that would make the cottage better was to face west vs east..until sunrise the next morning. WOW! Every morning was spectacular! Being 10 min away from Seward was great (the dirt road was not in the best shape but we're from MI so we are used to roads w/ potholes). We cooked most breakfasts/dinners (the kitchen was great for meal prep) it was nice to have lunch in town. The Safeway in Seward was stocked well and we found everything needed even gluten free items. The cottage was a perfect home base for a jam-packed week of activities starting w/ a 6 hour cruise of Kenai Fjords National Park (we saw a humpback in Sept amazing). The Two Lakes Trail in Seward was our warm up for the Exit Glacier hike. The Alaska SeaLife Center was great for our 1 rainy day! We also rafted the Resurrection River, all in Seward. Jet skiing in Whittier was crazy fun too! The cottage and Alaska did not disappoint!

We had a little snafu with the cleaner not turning the unit before we arrived. But we were immediately offered other accommodations or to have cleaner come do the flip asap. We headed to the Nordic spa and it was pristine by the time we got back to the home. We had an unexpected amazing Aurora show that night which was fun to see from the front porch. The cabin is lovely, well appointed, comfortable beds and furniture. Thanks for a great time!

The tv isn’t a smart tv but there are lots of dvds available or bring your own fire stick to stream. We walked from town twice twice with no issue. Would definitely stay again if we return to Seward!

Beautiful and clean lodging that is well located close to the ski resort and things to do. Jamie was very responsive and accommodating. Lots of spices and groceries left for us. Beautiful furnishing, and not cluttered. The upstairs apartment was nice, but had 20+ steep steps. The hot tub was really, really nice and appreciated. Last week we rented in Palm Springs and they charged $100 to be able to use the hot tub! Overall, a great rental experience.

We highly recommend this rental. It is clean, quiet and nicely appointed. It is the very best option for anyone who wants to spend a few days in Seward. Two standout amenities in this house: 1) The master bath steam shower is incredible. It is such a luxurious experience. Second, this might sound small but the fridge has an automatic water dispenser that refills into a pitcher. You can fill your water bottle before heading out!

Rodney’s place is super special. Tucked away yet really close to town. 5 minutes to Safeway and the downtown area. We used the 10% discount for Major Marine Tours which operates out of Hotel 360 on the harbourside. The 4 hour wildlife tour in Resurrection Bay was phenomenal! Also be sure to do the hike to the Exit Glacier. Even in the off season, this was a super fun town. More about the house…..it’s a super functional space, the beds were very comfy, extra blankets, pillows, fans and heaters for each bedroom and of course a Toyo Stove in the living room. Rodney is super laid back and doesn’t infringe on the guests space. What a great little find this place was!!
