Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Karlovac

Our family, and especially our kids (ages 17-23), loved Mia's place. Plenty of room for all five of us, a beautiful yard/garden, and fantastic pool that we used multiple times a day. While a little outside of the city center, it was an easy walk to the tram and a quick trip in. Stadium, zoo, cafe, grocery, and a few restaurants are also very close by. Easy check-in, great host communication/responsiveness, and gated driveway parking. Loved the pastries/desserts too - thank you! Could not recommend more.

This is my third trip to Croatia, and I was incredibly lucky to stay at this home for the first night of my journey. It’s a very popular place, so I was only able to book it for one night — but what a perfect start it was. Even in just one night, I was able to fully relax and recharge, thanks to the peaceful village atmosphere and the spotlessly clean, well-equipped space. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to any traveler visiting the area.

The apartment is surrounded by greenery and in a very quiet area, very close to the entrances to Plitvice Park. Hosts were very kind and friendly. Recommended!

Check-in was smooth and welcoming. At check-in, Zeljka who was very friendly, explained everything about the house in detail, and given tons of helpful tips about the Plitvice Lakes National Park, nearby supermarkets, and more. The location is great—just about 10 minutes from Entrance 1 of Plitvice Lakes. The house itself felt spacious (especially with the huge bedroom), clean, and very comfortable for two people. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals at home. But the real gem is the garden—absolutely stunning! There’s a large swing nestled between two big trees that we loved, and the wood-burning hot tub was such a relaxing treat after a day of hiking. One thing to be aware of: the house is not a fully freestanding unit. It’s part of a building that essentially consists of two adjoining houses. Since the structure is largely made of wood (which gives it a lovely, cozy feel), sound does travel quite a bit, and you may hear your neighbors during your stay.

This home is absolutely stunning. The area is so quiet with only the sound of the birds and the breeze in the trees. The park is completely walkable from the house if you are in good shape, but also a quick couple minute drive to get in as well. The living room begged us to watch movies at night, it was so cozy and inviting. The kitchen was filled with yummy treats, coffees, tea, cocoa and all the supplies you need. A lovely gift basket with snacks and homemade liquor was such a delightful surprise. The bedrooms were very comfortable and ac worked great when it was warm. The outside dining area was so beautiful, our coffees in the morning and our dinners in the evening were spent in the beautiful surroundings of nature. The host went above and beyond, wonderful recommendations and instructions. I hope someday we can return to this magical place.

The house is surrounded by vineyards, the view is spectacular (the other side of the valley is Croatia). The bathroom is new, the kitchen is basic. If you want to spend some time in a quiet area, far away from “civilization”, you should try this accomodation. Neva’s husband Janni accompanied us to the location and showed us around the house, it has a winecellar with a nice local red and white wine we could taste for free. One thing you need to know: at 7 am the bells of the little church nearby make enough noise to wake up a deaf man!

Thomas and his parents were some of the best hosts we have encountered in our month in Croatia! We were greeted by Thomas’s father who welcomed us with a glass of plum brandy. There were drinks and snacks to help us settle right in after a long drive from Split. Enjoyed talking with Thomas and his family in the evening, where the shared their family’s history, homemade dessert and made lots of recommendations for us to enhance our stay. Loved the eggs from their hens!

Had a lovely time at Michael’s beautiful place. The house itself feels very peaceful and private, but is only 10min drive to a supermarket and other amenities, as well as beautiful scenery and local vineyards. The hot tub and outdoor grill were an added bonus - would highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Josip's. He was very responsive in the run up to our visit, arrived quickly when we were ready to check in and gave some great recommendations for seafood restaurants in the town. The flat was comfortable and quiet despite the storm that passed through that evening. Would definitely stay again if passing through Senj!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. It truly felt like a home away from home. Located in a beautiful town, it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. You can tell it's a well-loved family home, and we really appreciated the warmth and comfort. Spacious and comfortable apartment in a characterful building, which is perfectly situated in the city to walk to just about anywhere. I agree with an earlier review in that there is a very loud tv below the apartment - probably an elderly person? However, earplugs solve that issue easily and so would not dissuade me from staying here again. Beds are clean and comfortable but better pillows (with additional covers for extra ones) would have improved this accommodation.

Slaven's apartment is just as described in the listing. More than enough room for the 2 of us. It's in a great spot. We easily walked everywhere. We would definitely stay here again

Ivana was extremely accommodating and helpful – communication with her went smoothly and very pleasantly. The apartment was also exactly as described: pretty, cozy, clean and in the middle of the action, with short distances to the attractions of the city. We felt very comfortable.

The apartment fully matched the description and the pictures. It was very tidy and well maintained. The apartment is a little further from the center, but there is a very good connection with bus 136/146 and tram 6/11. The neighborhood was quiet, but within walking distance there were plenty of cozy cafes, coffee bars, supermarkets and bakers. The communication with the host was great. Our questions in advance were answered within 5 minutes, and we always felt that we were very welcome as guests in the apartment. We landed well before check-in time in Zagreb, and the host sent us all sorts of things we could do in the meantime. He also gave tips for activities and eateries nearby. And when the hot water was unexpectedly shut off, he offered us a free night on his own. We definitely recommend this place! We had a wonderful time in the feel good place :)

I had a wonderful at Ivan’s appartment. The place is extremely well located in the center but is quiet and peaceful. The amenities is very good and the appartment was pristine. Ivan was a very welcoming, responsive and proactive host. One of the best airbnbs I stayed at so far!

Great stay at Theo&Rea, great location not far from the central station (walking distance) and loads of nice restaurants, coffe shops ans supermarkets/market around. It's very easy to access the centre and also Maksimir park! Theo was very reactive and welcomed me at the flat, which is an elevated first floor in a quiet residence. Thank you Theo!

Mirela has created a beautifully designed, comfortable and well equipped apartment for you to enjoy. She has added so many little things to make your stay extra special. There is off street parking available and we ate at a local pizza place only 3mins walk away. The walk into Zagreb centre is flat and takes about 25 mins. NB There are one flight of stairs to reach the apartment.
