Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Croatia

The view is a 15/10 and Irena was a great hostess! She was very proactive and took great care of me when I got sick. She made an extra trip with linens and had plenty of suggestions on where to get additional supplies. Even before I felt up for leaving the apartment, the view was healing in and of itself! Irena was also immediately helpful (at 10:30 at night!) in getting on the phone with the internet provider to reset the WiFi after a brief power outage that affected the entire bay. She got us up and running in just a few minutes! So grateful we stayed here!

We were two adults in Nikolina's house for seven days. The house is small but absolutely beautiful and authentic. With beautiful views of the bay. The house is not as shielded from view as we thought, because there are two houses on each side and a dock quite close to Nikolina's house and dock, and there is a path from the neighboring houses that runs right next to the outdoor shower. But if you're looking for a quiet place, this is perfect. Clean and nice. And a small outbuilding with a washing machine. When we ran out of coffee capsules for the coffee machine, Nikolina sent coffee with the ferry.

This place is amazing! Right on the water and close to all the fun things Rovinj has to offer.

The house, the hosts and the location are simply enchanting and fantastically beautiful. We have rarely experienced such a relaxing holiday, after a week in this house the outside world seems so far away... In addition to the pool, we especially enjoyed the outdoor shower (with hot water!), showering with a view, marvellous! Everything was very clean, there were plenty of towels, the kitchen is super equipped and everything was also super clean. The sea is great for swimming and the steps down are not bad, a short walk. We are dreaming of coming back.

We had an absolutely wonderfull time at the magnificent house. We are definetly planning to come back as our entire family had a great time. The view from all rooms, as well as the great outdoors facilities made this stay at no time boring. Thank you once again for a great time.... and thank you Aurora for all help while we were there!

Had a wonderful stay! The place is just like the photos, with amazing views out to sea and across to Split. A fantastic outdoor space with the heated pool and outdoor kitchen where we prepared and cooked all our meals. The bedrooms were comfortable, with good temperature control, blackout shutters, and well sound insulated from any noises outside. Recommend the short hike up the hill behind the house for even more amazing views in all directions. Nina and Petar were great hosts, proactively making contact ahead of arrival and departure, meeting on our schedule, providing great recommendations for things to see and do, and being easily reachable if needed.

Wow! I really think this could be one of the most breathtaking views we have ever had on holiday, it’s just amazing. The house is beautiful. Plenty of space for a family of four and it is equipped with everything we needed. We didn’t spend much time inside though because the outside area is just so lovely. The heated pool was fantastic for the children and the summer kitchen is just brilliant. We have never stayed in such a perfect place. The local area is beautiful. We went hiking and Petar also recommended a rafting company that we went out with and had a brilliant time. Both trips were great ways to explore. We also went to some beaches that Petar recommended and spent a day around Mostar which was also incredible. A fantastic holiday all round. Thank you

This place is absolutely amazing. We loved every second of staying here. Very secluded, if you decided you didn’t want to see ANYONE for a few days this is the place to go. The walk to the private beach is not easy (so be cautious) but definitely worth it. Everything was very clean and we had everything we needed for cooking! The outside grill was awesome, we probably used it every night for dinner. SO BEAUTIFUL.. even better than the pictures!! 100% recommend to anyone who wants to experience Croatia in its raw form.

We stayed for 3 nights at Bojana’s beautiful and peaceful property. The panoramic view was beautiful. The apartment was spotlessly clean and provided everything you could possibly need. A big thank you too to Bojana who was very responsive from the outset to departure. Giving us lots of local information on arrival and she very kindly collected us from the ferry port too. All in all a lovely stay and would definitely come back. Thank you.

Another lovely stay at Mira’s apartment. Such a beautiful area with stunning views. Mira is extremely helpful and friendly as are her family. Apartment is well equipped. Great place to truly unwind.

Fortunate to have 11 nights in the Royal apartment. Suzana looked after us as Jadranka was away. Both though were responsive when needed assistance. As described in the listing with wonderful views across Lapad bay. There are 4 apartments in the complex along with the Hosts accommodation. Romantic apartment is at the top same level as pool area. Next down was the Royal, Harmony a few steps further down and Marine the lowest. All very private and didn’t hear any unnecessary noise from other guests. 61 steep steps from street to apartment door and the shower is in the hydro bath so a bit of a high step there. My wife was a bit hesitant as she has had a hip replacement couple of years ago but found a routine! Using the elevators at nearby More and Kompas hotels to get back from the promenade was a good handy hint! Amenities were good. Some instructions would be helpful especially using the appliances. Truly just a perfect stay. You can’t go wrong with a listing that has hundreds of 5-star reviews. The best part was the incredible VIEW!! Coffee on the balcony every morning was a huge highlight. Other perks: the house was clean, organized, clutter free, and functional. Few people check all the boxes of hosting like Emilio. He met us at the bottom of the steps and carried our suitcases up, arranged transfer from and to the airport (one being at 4:30 am), provided coffee, wine, toast etc. It was so nice to have essentials after arriving to our first stop straight from the USA. The stairs up from old town are tough as others said. We did them once and then took Uber after that (8-13 usd) so figure that into your budget. We did walk down most times, even that can be strenuous. But totally worth it for the view. The stairs from the street to the house are manageable (I’m 6.5 months pregnant so I wasn’t sure based on other reviews). One of our favorite Airbnb stays to date!

we enjoyed a weeks stay here, everything was great, from the communication of our arrival time, to davorka providing a map and information on the area. the view is absolutely stunning from the private balcony. you can get the no 8 bus right outside to go to town or walk the 15 mins. if you dont want to walk back up, you can walk up to a stop near the cable car station that should only take a few minutes. pero arranged a taxi for us to the airport, which made life easier. the apartment was clean and feels spacious and not a lot of stairs! thank you both for a wonderful stay, i hope you liked the scottish gifts we left as a small token of thanks. we would definitely come back. x

We really enjoyed our time at Marino's place. We especially liked the pool. It is in a quiet, secluded location and is very well maintained. Even in the small apartment, there was everything you need. Marino and his whole family are also very warm and made us feel welcome. We can recommend Marino's accommodation 100%!

The moment you open the front door you have a view of the bay right through the apartment. Unforgettable. The apartment is well furnished, tastefully decorated and has all you need for a few days at the seaside. A big mall is in walking distance with EV chargers in the park house. Free of charge. Great.

Large apartment, very comfortable, with parking, very close to the bridge to the old town. The host is extremely delicate and kind.

Everything was as described and you had wonderful views of the sea. Ksenija was always available when something was needed and very friendly.

Mirna and Marko’s place made me feel right at home. Located in an amazing location with all the amenities I needed. They even offered some local sweet candy! The beds were comfy and the space was just enough to be comfortable for three people. They left very clear instructions and their neighbors were very kind to offer help, as well. The balcony and local guide books were the cherries on top. :) ! Oh, and they offered early check-in and the ability to leave our luggage at the Airbnb after check out until our flight. I definitely recommend.

Iva and Nike’s place in Dubrovnik is nothing short of sensational! It starts with the excellent communication and thoughtful recommendations and ends with a unit that is pristine, convenient and spacious. We are so grateful for our hosts willingness to accommodate an early checkin request and then meet us to assist with our luggage and shopping needs. The apartment is beyond comfortable, modern with classic touches, and we greatly appreciated the washing machine and soothing air conditioning on the warmer days. We found the apartment to be a great refuge from the bustle of Dubrovnik while great restaurants, activities and swimming opportunities are steps away. This is one of the best accommodations we have experienced while traveling and it is highly recommended.

Maya, her son, and father are amazing!!! Very friendly and accommodating. We spent the most time here during our 2 week Euro trip. Fantastic views from the balcony and a great place to relax with lounge chairs and a table to eat at. Right on the water with a great walk down to the shore where you can jump right into the sea! Space was modern, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom was SO nice. By far the nicest bathroom of anywhere we stayed. Maya's father took us out on his boat with his beagle. It was amazing. He knew the best spots, shared cool information/stories. It was a very authentic/non touristy experience. Maya let us borrow snorkel gear and that was beyond awesome because we snorkeled in the sea by the house but also on our boat trip which was truly special. She also provided homemade olive oil which was divine. WONDERFUL experience and stay.

We stayed a week at the apartment. Lea and her family were very friendly and helpful. Private beach right outside. Supermarket and restaurants within walking distance. Uber to Split took around 20 minutes and cost 10-15 euro. We had a wonderful time, would recommend!

The Studio flat was really great with everything you need for a holiday. It is very close to Split airport so only 10 minuits by taxi. Enough distance so that there is hardly any aircraft noise. It is literally across the road from the beach. All the beaches have fine slightly sharp gravel so take beach shoes. The Island of Trogir is a 10 minuite bus journey ride away that stops practically outside the door. You can also easily bus to many little beaches with changing places and showers. There are Water sports, buses, water taxis close by and a ferry to Split. The host is really nice, always contactable, very helpful and full of local knowledge. I cannot recommend the wonderful host and her family enough in this perfect location.
