Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Karlovac

Our family, and especially our kids (ages 17-23), loved Mia's place. Plenty of room for all five of us, a beautiful yard/garden, and fantastic pool that we used multiple times a day. While a little outside of the city center, it was an easy walk to the tram and a quick trip in. Stadium, zoo, cafe, grocery, and a few restaurants are also very close by. Easy check-in, great host communication/responsiveness, and gated driveway parking. Loved the pastries/desserts too - thank you! Could not recommend more.

This is my third trip to Croatia, and I was incredibly lucky to stay at this home for the first night of my journey. It’s a very popular place, so I was only able to book it for one night — but what a perfect start it was. Even in just one night, I was able to fully relax and recharge, thanks to the peaceful village atmosphere and the spotlessly clean, well-equipped space. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to any traveler visiting the area.

L’appartamento è immerso nel verde ed in una zona molto tranquilla, vicinissimo agli ingressi del parco di Plitvice. Gli host sono stati molto gentili ed amichevoli. Consigliato!

This home is absolutely stunning. The area is so quiet with only the sound of the birds and the breeze in the trees. The park is completely walkable from the house if you are in good shape, but also a quick couple minute drive to get in as well. The living room begged us to watch movies at night, it was so cozy and inviting. The kitchen was filled with yummy treats, coffees, tea, cocoa and all the supplies you need. A lovely gift basket with snacks and homemade liquor was such a delightful surprise. The bedrooms were very comfortable and ac worked great when it was warm. The outside dining area was so beautiful, our coffees in the morning and our dinners in the evening were spent in the beautiful surroundings of nature. The host went above and beyond, wonderful recommendations and instructions. I hope someday we can return to this magical place.

Check-in was smooth and welcoming. At check-in, Zeljka who was very friendly, explained everything about the house in detail, and given tons of helpful tips about the Plitvice Lakes National Park, nearby supermarkets, and more. The location is great—just about 10 minutes from Entrance 1 of Plitvice Lakes. The house itself felt spacious (especially with the huge bedroom), clean, and very comfortable for two people. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals at home. But the real gem is the garden—absolutely stunning! There’s a large swing nestled between two big trees that we loved, and the wood-burning hot tub was such a relaxing treat after a day of hiking. One thing to be aware of: the house is not a fully freestanding unit. It’s part of a building that essentially consists of two adjoining houses. Since the structure is largely made of wood (which gives it a lovely, cozy feel), sound does travel quite a bit, and you may hear your neighbors during your stay.

Wij hadden een heerlijk verblijf bij Rosa. De ontvangst was hartelijk en er stonden heerlijke pannenkoekjes klaar. Alles was aanwezig en lekkere verrassingen. Het huis is zeker niet klein, in tegenstelling wat de omschrijving zegt. Alles is verzorgd, schoon en compleet. Het was heerlijk buiten zitten. Ik kan ieder aanraden om daar een paar nachten of langer te verblijven. Dank Rosa, voor deze positieve ervaring!

Miejsce bardzo przyjemne. Pokój był czysty, a w środku czekał na nas miły zestaw powitalny z kawą, herbatą i lokalnym specjałem. Okolica spokojna i idealna na spacery. Gospodarze bardzo przyjaźni i gościnni!

Thomas and his parents were some of the best hosts we have encountered in our month in Croatia! We were greeted by Thomas’s father who welcomed us with a glass of plum brandy. There were drinks and snacks to help us settle right in after a long drive from Split. Enjoyed talking with Thomas and his family in the evening, where the shared their family’s history, homemade dessert and made lots of recommendations for us to enhance our stay. Loved the eggs from their hens!

Σε διανυκτέρευση από road trip(πανεύκολο παρκάρισμα στην περιοχή)διαμέρισμα σε αρκετά καλή τοποθεσία και ίσως το σπίτι να είναι καλύτερο κι από τις φωτογραφίες!Η Ταμάρα πάντα εκεί εξυπηρετική και με ξεκάθαρες οδηγίες άφιξης-αναχώρησης-δραστηριοτήτων. Μεγάλο credit το πως έχει εξοπλίσει η Ταμάρα το σπίτι, κάτι το οποίο καταλαβαίνεις μόνο αφού το έχεις χρησιμοποιήσει.Μάλλον από τα πιο οργανωμένα σπίτια που έχω πάει.Η κουζίνα( και γενικά) είχε κυριολεκτικά τα πάντα και πράγματα που συναντάμε μόνο στα διαμερίσματά μας και όχι σε ενοικιαζόμενα δωμάτια. Ειλικρινά μπράβο στην Ταμάρα!! Προτείνεται ανεπιφύλακτα.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Josip's. He was very responsive in the run up to our visit, arrived quickly when we were ready to check in and gave some great recommendations for seafood restaurants in the town. The flat was comfortable and quiet despite the storm that passed through that evening. Would definitely stay again if passing through Senj!

Apartman je odličan, udoban, opremljen i za dulji boravak. Ima veliki balkon s kojeg se pruža prekrasan pogled na grad Zagreb. Može se posjetiti u svako godišnje doba. Sve pohvale i preporuke za buduće goste.

What a wonderful stay in Zagreb! Ivan's apartment was perfectly located - we could easily walk to all the amazing monuments, beautiful churches, and historic towers throughout the city. The apartment itself was such a cozy retreat - comfortable, peaceful, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed to feel right at home. Ivan was absolutely fantastic to work with. Het appartement kwam volledig overeen met de beschrijving en de foto’s. Het was zeer netjes en goed onderhouden. Het appartement ligt iets verder van het centrum, maar er is een zeer goede verbinding met bus 136/146 en tram 6/11. De buurt was rustig, maar op wandelafstand waren er heel wat gezellige cafeetjes, koffiebarretjes, supermarkten en bakkers. De communicatie met de host was geweldig. Onze vragen op voorhand werden binnen de 5 minuten beantwoord, en we kregen steeds het gevoel dat we als gasten zeer welkom waren in het appartement. We landden ruim voor inchecktijd in Zagreb, en de host stuurde ons allerlei dingen die we intussen konden doen. Hij gaf ook tips voor activiteiten en eetgelegenheden in de buurt. En toen het warm water onverwacht afgesloten werd, bood hij ons uit zichzelf een gratis overnachting aan. We bevelen deze plaats dus zeker aan! We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad in de feel good place :)

Ivana war äußerst zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit – die Kommunikation mit ihr verlief reibungslos und sehr angenehm. Auch das Apartment war genau wie beschrieben: Hübsch, gemütlich, sauber und mitten im Geschehen, mit kurzen Wegen zu den Attraktionen der Stadt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

I had a wonderful at Ivan’s appartment. The place is extremely well located in the center but is quiet and peaceful. The amenities is very good and the appartment was pristine. Ivan was a very welcoming, responsive and proactive host. One of the best airbnbs I stayed at so far!

Great stay at Theo&Rea, great location not far from the central station (walking distance) and loads of nice restaurants, coffe shops ans supermarkets/market around. It's very easy to access the centre and also Maksimir park! Theo was very reactive and welcomed me at the flat, which is an elevated first floor in a quiet residence. Thank you Theo!

Mirela has created a beautifully designed, comfortable and well equipped apartment for you to enjoy. She has added so many little things to make your stay extra special. There is off street parking available and we ate at a local pizza place only 3mins walk away. The walk into Zagreb centre is flat and takes about 25 mins. NB There are one flight of stairs to reach the apartment.

A flying visit for us, due to a late flight and needing somewhere to stay to sleep before we set off for our travels. The apartment is less than 5 minutes away from the airport. It was immaculate, with everything you need, the decor was fabulous, and everything was so clean. The bed was very comfortable and we had the best night sleep which was much needed. Provided with cold water bottles, coffee and milk also, which was very much appreciated. Our host was fantastic at providing the information needed for self check in, and directions Would 100% reccomend, this gorgeous little apartment, and will return again when visiting Zagreb
