Beach house vacation rentals in Island of Ortigia

A fantastic apartment for a family. Extremely quiet and amazing location, steps from the sea. Rooftop deck has views of both the sunrise and sunset! Very clean, comfy beds, and modern. We would definitely stay here again. The host helped us with everything, and provided wonderful restaurant recommendations.

Francesca était très sympathique. La communication a été impeccable avant et pendant tout le séjour ! L'accueil en personne a été très agréable et elle nous a donné de très bons conseils (plages, restaurants) pour profiter de notre séjour. La propreté était irréprochable. Les rues gratuites autour du logement pour garer la voiture étaient vraiment un plus, et le logement reste bien situé à une dizaine de minutes d'Ortigia. Nous avons passé un court mais excellent séjour !

Even nicer than we imagined- the patio is right off the bedroom making it super easy to use for breakfast and afternoon drinks. It has the best view in the city!

Me and my Wife had a wonderful experience with Elena as our host. The location of the Airbnb was local enough and touristy enough to enjoy both vibes. Would highly recommend this location to anyone wanting to enjoy great restaurants, and still find local shops to enjoy. 10/10

Really enjoyable stay. Excellent communication on check-in. The only thing I would say is that the bedroom which looked onto the road was quite noisy until 1am on Saturday night. Friday and Saturday were fine. Other than that the apartment was beautifully renovated, had everything we needed and was well located for exploring Ortigia.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Unterkunft von Antonio und seiner Familie! Leider hatte unser Hinflug über 3 Std Verspätung und Antonio hat mit uns noch um 2 Uhr nachts den Check-in gemacht und war mehr als freundlich. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gepflegt, es wurde sogar Wasser, alles für ein italienisches Frühstück sowie Pasta zum kochen bereitgestellt. Der Gartenbereich ist gepflegt und der Pool sehr angenehm. Es ist definitiv empfehlenswert ein Auto zu haben, dann ist die wunderschöne Altstadt von Syrakus in ca. 15 min zu erreichen und man ist in unter 5 min am sehr schönen Strand. Wir würden die Unterkunft in Arenella definitiv weiterempfehlen!

Alice, Santi und ihre Tochter sind wunderbare Gastgeber. Sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und mit hilfreichen Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants, aber trotzdem unaufdringlich und respektvoll, was deine Privatsphäre angeht. Die Verständigung auf Englisch war problemlos möglich. Die Unterkunft ist wunderschön und sehr sauber. Sie ist ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Dazu viele Extras , wie Getränke zur Begrüßung, Gewürze, Öl und auch Kleinigkeiten zum Essen. Das Auto steht sicher auf dem abgesperrten Grundstück, und die Terrasse zum draußen Sitzen haben wir zum Frühstück und Abendessen sehr genossen. Außerdem hat sie eine perfekte Lage. In Laufentfernung ist der wunderschöne Arenella Beach, und mit dem Auto ist es nicht weit zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Syracuse, Noto, Marzamemi, Catania etc. Wir haben uns selten so wohl gefühlt wie hier. Abgerundet wurde das ganze durch den absolut lieben und ruhigen Hund Pit und ein paar süße, aber scheue Katzen.

Siamo stati accolti al nostro arrivo personalmente da Valeria e Giorgio con un caloroso benvenuto. I proprietari sono molto gentili, disponibili e discreti. La casa e la piscina sono come descritti nelle foto e la posizione è molto bella e tranquilla. La casa è molto funzionale, attrezzata di tutti i confort ed arredata con buon gusto. L’ideale per una vacanza in pieno relax in mezzo agli splendidi ulivi della tenuta. Non manca veramente nulla. Abbiamo trascorso una splendida settimana. Da qui si possono raggiungere facilmente in auto varie spiagge, la splendida Ortigia ed altre località famose. Consigliamo vivamente questa struttura, dove speriamo in futuro di ritornare. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit bei Alessandro. Gerade mit kleinem Kind gibt es tolle Möglichkeiten wie einen Pool, eine große Wiese zum Spielen und besonders das Baumhaus! Die Nähe zum Meer zu Fuß ist schön (wenige Minuten bis zu einem kleinen Einstieg an einem Steinstrand, ein Sandstrand zum Liegen ist besser mit dem Auto erreichbar). Alessandro hat uns bei Fragen geholfen und war gut erreichbar!

We loved staying with Giovanni and family whom were really friendly and helpful . The house is beautifully set above a beach with its own access . Our room was lovely with good facilities. We have spent hours over the last few days relaxing swimming and snorkelling in amazing waters . The house is in good proximity to surrounding areas of interest with a car .

We had a fantastic time staying here. The villa is great with plenty of space, a good kitchen with everything you need. The gardens are amazing and huge with lots of different places to sit and relax and eat outside. There is also a beautiful pool. We were a family group of 4 (3 adults and a 2 year old). It was a really good place for a small child with loads of space to play and nice and quiet. Valeria and Giorgio were excellent hosts. The communication is clear and easy. When we had a couple of minor issues, they sorted them out really quickly so we could carry on enjoying our holiday. They also have great local recommendations. You need a car for the villa, but there are 3/4 nice restaurants only 5 minutes drive away serving a mix of seafood and pizza. All are family friendly and have great views over the sea and Ortigia. Ortigia and Siracusa are only 15 minutes away by car as well. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Our stay at Respiro Greco with Ramona and Salvo was simply wonderful. From the first moment, we felt warmly welcomed and very well taken care of. The location is ideal – supermarkets, cafés, and small shops are nearby, and beautiful beaches like San Lorenzo, Noto Marina, and Fontane Bianche are only a short drive away. The historic center of Syracuse with its sights and excellent restaurants is also quickly reached. Ramona and Salvo were always available, very kind, and helpful. Their recommendations for restaurants, beaches, and places to visit were perfect. The homemade cake for Easter was a lovely surprise. The apartment was extremely clean, comfortable, and tastefully furnished. The pool was well maintained, Wi-Fi was strong, and the Smart TV offered Netflix and Amazon Prime for cozy evenings. Syracuse’s culinary offerings were a true highlight. If you want to fully enjoy Syracuse and its surroundings, staying longer is highly recommended. We will definitely return!

The villa was absolutely beautiful and very well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the choice of outdoor areas and the pool. Sabrina was an extremely lovely and responsive host who made sure our stay was smooth. Arriving in Catania at 8am, we were able to do an early check-in which was much appreciated. Our children also appreciated the cats who came to say hi, it reminded us of ours :) We would definitely recommend Sabrina’s place.

Roberto och hans son Erik var helt fantastiska. Vi bodde i Villa Bismarkia som var rent och prydligt. Allt man kan tänkas behöva finns och de gemensamma ytorna var så välskötta och fina. Rekommenderar start detta boende!

A beautiful spacious property, well equipped and with a marvellous swimming pool in which we swam every day. Alberto and also Nisha were very responsive and helpful. The villa is an easy 15 -20 minute drive to Siracusa.

Andrea's place is terrific - located a group of houses in a quiet area ~20 min drive from Siracusa with gated access that feels "remote". The house itself is half of a duplex and is exactly like the pictures in the listing - it is modern and clean and incredibly well furnished and stocked to feel like home. The beds were comfortable (firm), kitchen was well stocked for basic cooking, AC worked great, Wifi was excellent (fast upload speeds), and clothes washer was also good. There was a small hot tub in the backyard that worked OK (took a long time to heat up, but was then fine). There is a rock / rocky beach at the end of the street nearby, but we suggest that you use the 2 beach umbrellas and beach towels that are provided and go to either Spiaggia Punta Carrozza or Spiaggia del Minareto, both are ~10 min drive away. Communication with Andrea was good, and we appreciated his flexibility for our early check-in. Overall, highly recommended.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Syrakus - und das unter anderem Dank dieser schönen, super zentralen Wohnung! Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, immer gut erreichbar und flexibel, was Check-in und -Out anging. Die Wohnung war geräumiger als ursprünglich gedacht und bot vielerlei Möglichkeit für gemeinsame Zeit aber auch Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Wir können die Wohnung wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

We stayed at this house for a week with 4 people and had a really good time there. We were working most days which worked very well because of all the different areas to sit. The location is very quite and close to the rocky coast. We enjoyed the hikes along the sea. Except for this, there isn’t much to do in walking distance. We recommend a car for sure. The communication with the hosts was extraordinary. They gave us recommendations and the checkout was flexible which was convenient for us.

Beautifully decorated and neat little place within easy walking distance of Ortigia and surrounding attractions. Simone was a fabulous and helpful host.

Attentive host who greeted us at the property personally and remained at our disposal throughout our stay. Lovely home, very comfortable throughout with a well considered roof terrace which maximised the space and made it the perfect spot for early morning coffees and sundowners alike.

This will be the FIRST place I look to stay at whenever I stay in Syracuse. We booked this stay for my dads birthday and thouroughly enjoyed it. The place honestly looks even better in person than the pictures. I loved the way it was decorated, how clean and updated the appliances and decor was. My only regret is that I only stayed 1 night LOL. It was right in the heart of the city and walkable to everything but also still a quiet neighborhood. Federica greeted us and was responsive throughout the whole stay even giving us great restaurant recommendations. Definitely would recommend staying here.
