Family-friendly vacation rentals in Island of Ortigia

A very pretty house right in front of the beautiful beach. Very comfortable and friendly host If I go to Siracusa again, I definitely want to stop by again!

Very nice setting, quiet, Roberto and Erik his son are very responsive and very kind. I would recommend this place for discovering Syracuse and its surroundings.

Mariella's place was not only spotless and beautifully furnished, but it was located in an ideal location to fully enjoy and explore Ortigia! The apartment was close to the water and only five minutes' walk from the square. We loved staying there and already plan to return the next time we vacation in Sicily!

A beautiful villa in a great location and Francesco was really helpful and accommodating. Just be wary of the stairs if you have young children!

The apartment is bright, modern and very well furnished. The landlord was super nice and helpful. The center is within walking distance. Perfect starting point in all directions. The bus stop/bus station is right at the house and can be heard from the terrace. Basically, Sicily has a massive problem with garbage disposal, which is unfortunately clearly visible in some neighborhoods.

Wonderful hosts with an amazing property in an ideal location. We didn't want to leave .... ever! :) Ada was fantastic from booking through check out. They offered fabulous recommendations and a beautiful home with the best of everything, including washer & dryer and valet parking! We cannot wait to return!! Highly recommended!!!

Unfortunately, we have to mention the dog/dogs from the neighbor right away. This one barked for hours during the day. The stay in the beautiful outdoor area was considerably clouded by this. It was really blatant harassment. You should urgently find a solution together with the neighbor. Otherwise, the villa is simply beautiful and the new extension and kitchen with new furniture very tasteful. The many terraces and outdoor areas are perfect. The communication with our host was excellent. Problems have been resolved right away. Great! We loved the surroundings, especially Ortigia. We would book again in a heartbeat if the dogs weren't from the neighbor. The villa is located in a quiet cul-de-sac and from the upper terrace you have a wonderful view.

We stayed only for a day, the flat had everything we wanted. We could easily walk to Ortigia and the area is safe as we walked back late at night. Fabio recommended restaurants and they were superb. Recommend this place.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and modern villa, located on Salvatore’s property. Despite being on the same grounds, we had complete privacy with our own terrace and a lovely barbecue area. Salvatore was incredibly helpful and always available when we needed anything. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants, beaches, and places to explore, which really enhanced our trip. The terrace area is peaceful and green, with sunbeds available for relaxing in the sun or in the shadow. The nearest supermarkets are about a 20-minute drive away in Syracuse. All in all, a perfect stay!

We had a lovely time staying here. We didn’t need to use the car as it was a 30 minute walk to the archeological park and a 30 minute walk to the castle on Ortygia. The flat was spotless and the view from the window amazing. Highly recommended

Very nice apartment. Recommended Pro: - very spacious, which is rare to find inside Ortigia - all amenities listed worked well - bathroom is renovated with well working hot/cold shower and appliances - nice and fresh linens and soap provided - very silent, as it is inside a small courtyard. - courtyard lived by locals family which made it more authentic - host and his team are friendly, responsive and flexible if they can accommodate your needs - design is eye catching and pleasant - Wi-Fi is stable and working fine Cons: - due to its ground floor location, it is humid and air circulation is limited, therefore I wouldn’t live there for long periods (months). - it is not as bright as the pictures, but that is common in the old city. There are enough lamps both on walls and ceiling to compensate that - the tv is pretty old and does not have main national channels nor streaming options - there are some small wear and tears, but didn’t affect our stay Overall: I would come back again

If you're visiting Syracuse, this is a great choice. Easy access to the central train and bus stations. Outstanding, communicative and personable host with a great attitude. Helpfully explained everything in the apartment and gave us ideas about exploring the neighborhood. Very near Ortigia, which makes it easy to wander around and discover all sorts of hidden gems. If we ever return to Syracuse, this would be my first choice!

Very nice unique spot, clean, peaceful, has everithing you need. a dream to wake up and walk to the beach just downstairs the street, and just a step from Duomo. I adore that neighborhood.

This is a wonderful space in a great area of Ortigia. Very easy to get everywhere. The host was super responsive. The place was great. In terms of furnishings, the listing shows both a bed and a sofa-bed. When we checked in and wanted use of two beds (I was was traveling with my daughter), there was confusion because the host said there was only 1 bed. After the host left we checked and the couch was a sofa-bed with no mattress. We messaged the host and asked for a blanket for the couch and they quickly brought in a mattress, sheets and a blanket for the sofa-bed. Problem solved. Things happen and the real test of a good host is how they deal with issues that arise, and in this case they shined. All good.

Great villa with large garden where kids can just have fun. We even used the pool twice, in April. Loredana is very professional, nice and helpful.

Giuseppe’s villa is beautiful, tastefully decorated and very spacious. The variety of outdoor seating areas were lovely for enjoying the sun at different periods of the day. The pool was superb, beautiful and clean. The villa is 10 minutes drive from Syracuse and Ortigia, which have a huge variety of delicious restaurants and bars. The streets are beautiful to explore, especially in the evenings. The only downside to the villa was the area. Unfortunately, there are no pavements so walking anywhere is unsafe. Therefore, hiring a car is necessary. There is a bus, but it only passes 4 x daily. There are local restaurants to visit, but driving is required due to the roads, and at our time of visiting it was unclear whether these were open or not. Despite this, I would happily visit Giuseppe’s villa again without a doubt. Thank you for having us.

We spent a wonderful week exploring the sights of Sicily (you definitely need a car) and having the oasis of Charlotte’s beautiful home to chill in the afternoon and evenings. The pictures do not do the garden justice and is a charming sun trap where we picked lemons and rosemary for our meals. Charlotte was on hand to answer any queries - the nearest supermarket (2 minute walk away), bakery (the sweetest place a 5 minute drive away), how to use the washing machine but never intruded - it is completely your own space. We visited Siracusa, Ortigia, Noto, Ampitheatre, Avola (beautiful beach, free parking, gorgeous ice cream shop on main road) and Ragusa (1.5 hour drive but spectacular views and so worth it!). We had a fabulous week, made all the better by Charlotte 🙂

We had a wonderful 4 day stay at Alessandro’s house with the beautiful garden and amazing views… our 4year old son loved the pool, the playground and- after some time- the big dog ;-) we would love to come back to this great host

Pictures cannot really reflect how beautiful this place is! The amazing view from the large terrace shows all the beauty of the rich Sicilian landscape: the sunrise from the sea, Etna with its clouds and always present smoke trace, the cow bells as the only sound you hear …. The house and the garden are made with love and are a perfect place to stay! Many places to visit are within a short drive - great location that allows you full privacy as well as many sight-seeing possibilities. What makes you feel at home from the first moment - are the very welcoming and kind hosts, Grazia and Antonio. They thought of everything when preparing the house for us. They are always available for answering questions and help. Great suggestions for places to see and to eat. Thank you for everything Grazia and Antonio!

Salvatore has been lovely. The garden is beautiful and the kids enjoyed the pool a lot. Ideal place to shine in the area. Very nice bedding. we had a lovely stay!

Stunning property with the most incredible view. The pool and outdoor space was beautifuly maintained, and all the rooms were perfectly appointed. Andrea was such a wonderful host, sending personal recommendations (we loved the Sicilian champagne suggested), and checking that everything was ok. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an amazing base from which to visit the eastern side of Sicily.
