Vacation rentals with a kayak in Hiawatha Township

Beautiful home, in a location perfectly situated for river life (amazing birding!) and walker-friendly town life. The large kitchen is better equipped than my own, and the interior floor-plan made it easy for our group to be comfortable, whether gathered or in separate spaces. The scenic grounds are kept perfectly manicured. The owner lives close by and is very helpful with sharing information and lending kayaks, canoe, and life vests. The house is historic yet feels fresher than a new home - overall a great experience.

Was just as we expected it to be. Easy to get in and was nice for a weekend away.

Even in March, you can’t beat walking through the back yard dunes straight onto the Lake Superior beach. The house has great space and splits well for 2 families to each have some of their own space. Tons of toys and games for the kiddos too!

This was our second time staying here and it was just as nice in the winter as it was in June. The Christmas tree was a nice touch. Plan to stay again in the future.

Stayed here for our 5th year in a row for our annual ice fishing trip, Monica and Morley are excellent hosts and have always been great to us, would recommend to anyone!

My wife and I booked this rental for a 30th Wedding Anniversary getaway and to see the fall colors. This is a great house in a great location. It is very well stocked with everything one would need. Our favorite part of the house was the breezeway with the table where we would eat and had a great view of Whitefish Bay while doing so. There was even a pair of binoculars there to see the freighters out in the bay. We made several day trips during the week visiting many State Parks and looked forward to returning to grill our supper. We had an issue related to a storm that came through early in our stay. After contacting Brooke, she made arrangements to get a repair made and it happened promptly. Brooke kept in contact with us to make sure everything was fixed. She is a great host of this wonderful property. We had a delightful time during our stay and hated to leave when the week was done. We highly recommend this great property that has a great host. We had a great stay at this lake cottage. It was right on the lake and had everything you need to enjoy a lake getaway. It’s a good central location to Pictured Rocks and Tahquenomen Falls as well as other hiking and outdoor activities. Nice deck with outdoor furniture, grill and fire pit, all overlooking the lake!

The communication to the host was above & beyond great, very responsive to any questions we had, extremely detailed directions, suggestions of places to go, etc. The home was super clean and comfortable, it was very peaceful. Even in the midst of a winter storm we felt the driveway/private road, and county roads were all well plowed/maintained. Would not hesitate to recommend this home to any of our family or friends looking for a place to stay.

We had a great time staying overnight at the UP Sunrise Cottages. The host, Angie, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive, even when we had late-night, last-minute questions about checking in. The house was on a beautiful lakeside group of properties, and it was fully stocked with amenities, clear instructions, and super clean, comfy spaces.

The cabin was awesome, would definitely stay there again. Loved the deck, yard, fire pit, and kayaks. This cabin is for unwinding and detaching! Don't expect to use Internet or be online or to be streaming things. Plenty of restaurants and hiking spots within 20-30 minutes.

It’s was a nice place and a great spot on the water. Being on a chain of lakes was fun because we could cruise around on our boat for a while and the fishing was good too. I would rent again.

First of all , can’t say enough about how great Pat and Wendy are! They went above and beyond what I would ever expect from hosts and made sure my girlfriend and I had an awesome trip. Great people and a great spot! The Funky Beach House itself was awesome and the location was even cooler than I expected.

This was the PERFECT place for a simple, serene getaway. Had more amenities that expected for a "rustic" accommodation. Great location away from everything. Just what we needed and love. Can't say enough about how awesome and PERFECT the accommodations/property was- SO wonderful!

Had the absolute best stay!! Beautiful place right on the lake. We were able to watch the sunrise every morning and take the kayaks out to enjoy the incredible fall foliage along the lake. Place itself was cozy and had all of the amenities we could have asked for! Lindsey was a fantastic host - let us check in a little early, offered for us to check out late if we'd like, was super responsive, and even left us s'mores supplies and cute mugs to take as souvenirs! Within 45 min from Pictured Rocks where we did a beautiful hike as well. Overall had an incredible trip and would definitely stay at this AirBnB again!! We were so sad to leave!

Had a great time at the home. Easy and clear communication, well taken care of, exactly as expected and pictured. We had 3 couples and a couple of kids and it fit perfectly with room to spare. We were there in the winter and found fun things to do there including having a wood stove fired Sauna delivered for a day to the driveway which made for great cold plunge action. Highly recommend.

We stayed here with 4 of our friends and our two dogs. It was everything we hoped for and more! It was comfortable and immediately we felt right at home. It had that cozy up north cabin feel with all the practicality of a huge modern kitchen and plenty of comfortable sleeping arrangements! We iced fished on the lake and had a blast. My personal favorite was waking up and drinking my coffee in the sunroom by the patio fireplace . We would absolutely stay here again! It was well stocked and Kyla was quick to respond to any and all questions and concerns!

Angie is a super responsive, kind host. This was our second stay here, we appreciate the comfortable living room, well-stocked kitchen, and large table for gathering. It's a very short walk to the lake and convenient to town. Angie's communication is top notch! The stairs to the bedroom area are a bit precarious for older people, so a bit of caution there. Awesome to have our pups with us and the value is great for the space and location. We'll be back!
