Upper peninsula lakefront paradise

DianaRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Totally enjoyed our stay at this peaceful little cabin. Sipping coffee in the mornings on a deck overlooking a misty & serene lake, watching the wildlife & most of all, reconnecting with loved ones. Tucked away on a small, quiet fresh water lake, with a fire pit to enjoy the cool nights while watching for the Northern Lights, this was a relaxing place to unwind. Conveniently located to nearby attractions. Hiking, biking, beautiful beaches, rock hunting, fishing, boating & winter activities. Munising & Pictured Rocks within an hour’s drive. Manistique, Kitch-iti-kipi, & Indian Lake less than 30 minutes away. The cabin is well stocked with all the supplies & cooking equipment needed for a comfortable stay. Janet & Lee were kind & wonderful hosts. Communications were immediate & helpful. We enjoyed meeting these wonderful hosts. Warm welcomes & attention to detail made our stay exceptional. Thank you for sharing your cute little cabin with us

City solitude

JanessaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
It was a very beautiful place, very cute, and felt like a home. I didn’t realize till the last day of our stay that the plants in the house were real and that was very nice because they looked really well taken care of. Jill was very kind and offered to give us ideas of places to see and stuff to do which made us feel welcomed. Overall we would definitely come back and stay again.

Haywire Haus, Pictured Rocks, Hot Tub, ORV Trail

We are so thankful we booked here. We had our wedding at Miner's beach and our original Airbnb cancelled a few days before the ceremony I found Matt's place and they allowed us to have our reception there. The house is beautiful, convenient location, and had everything we needed and more. They were very communicative and understanding. We can't wait to book with them again next year for our one year anniversary.

Stones Throw to the lake with Spectacular Views!

JennaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
As a family of 5, we enjoyed our stay at Jena's place, and it was the perfect price. We were impressed with the cleanliness and how nice the house was. The house had everything we needed to cook a meal out of the fish that we had caught on a charter earlier in the day. The bathroom was big and well stocked with towels + anything we may have forgotten. The bedrooms were roomy, beds were comfy and the bedding was cozy and warm. On the second night, we didn't feel like traveling far, so we ate at the bar/restaurant up the block and just walked. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the UP who wants to explore multiple areas or do fishing. It was a great home base. I'm sure it would have had amazing sunsets if the weather wouldn't have been rainy out entire visit!! There's a cute little deck off the upstairs living room that I wish we could have enjoyed!

Wildcat - Hovey's Bear Trap - Indian Lake

MarieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
What a treat to stumble upon Hovey Bear Trap cottages for the first part of our U.P. vacation. Not only was it affordable, but it had everything imaginable for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen was equipped with everything, including condiments. The game room was loved by the teen boys, as well as the available kayaks. Our little daughter especially enjoyed the beach. With it being the first week of June, we felt like we had the entire beach and campfire areas to ourselves. Angie was always quick to answer any questions and was a lifesaver when our son required aloe vera gel after getting a terrible sunburn. We enjoyed hearing the history of the cottages as we chatted one night with her by the fire and Angie kindly ended the evening by offering our daughter a ride on the golf cart (now dubbed Ruby) up to our cottage. Thank you, Angie and J.D., for a wonderful stay!
The kitchen features wooden cabinets and open shelving, with stainless steel appliances including a refrigerator and an oven. A dark countertop complements the warm wood hues. Soft light from ceiling fixtures illuminates the space, while a window offers natural light through white curtains.

Hide-A-While UP North

JenRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
Hide Away UP North was so relaxing. Furniture was super comfortable. The bed was soft, but not too soft, and we both got great sleep. There are a great variety of sites to go check out. The lighthouse just south of the house was awesome. Also went to Oswald's Bear Ranch then drove up to see/touch Lake Superior. Great views of Lake Michigan all around by the house. We absolutely loved it. Ben was a fabulous host and very attentive!
A natural landscape features a striking waterfall cascading down a rocky cliff adorned with lush greenery. The vibrant turquoise water reflects the sunlight, creating a serene atmosphere. Blue skies with a few fluffy white clouds complement the scene.

We had a pleasant stay at Brian's. The place was nice, quiet and had easy access to cool spots (Kitch-iti-Kipi, Indian Lake, State park, etc.).
A wooden sign displays the name 'Thunder Lake Lodge and Cabin,' featuring artistic elements of trees and a blue lake. The sign is positioned in a natural setting, with the lodge visible in the background among the greenery.

Rustic Thunder Lake Cabin central to UP sights

ChristineRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Our stay at Thunder Lake Cabin was just what we needed, peaceful time away to relax and recharge! Paul, the owner was very helpful in letting us know about the area as we have never stayed in that part of the U. P. before. The Cabin was very clean for such a rustic, nature filled setting. As there was not a booking in the larger Lodge that was right next door, we had the whole property to ourselves---bonus it was!!!! We enjoyed every minute and will be talking with our kids to plan a family get away (by booking both the Lodge and Cabin) very soon! P.S. Don't look away from your bobber, we were pulling in fish as soon as we put the line out! 😀
