We had a great time. The house was the perfect size for us. The view of the lake was very beautiful. Sandy was amazing to work with and answered all of our questions about the area and places to eat.

What an absolute gem of a stay. The property is impeccably maintained and so beautiful. The guests house that we stayed in was so comfortable and very clean. The bed is quite possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. The pool and the hot tub are perfect. The doggo’s are super sweet and lovable. Danielle and the rest of the team are all very smart and a pleasure to talk with. We will definitely be referring the place to our friends and will be back ourselves every year as long as it’s available.

Kim's house is curated with lovely pieces of art and furniture that is very comfortable. I'm seriously amazed at the attention to detail through out the house. i enjoyed the hot tub while I admired her annuals on their plantars. The kayaks were so much fun and relaxing. And after a fun-filled day of hikes and other adventures sleeping on the comfortable beds renewed us for more fun. Kim is very polite and communicates very well. She is great host with a great property that makes us want to return.

Very cozy, private location with great amenities and close to a lot of fun places to explore

It was exactly what our family needed after a busy wedding weekend. It was peaceful with the nice breeze while sitting on the patio. Many fish were caught and released! Inside of the house was homey and elegant. We are locals, but will be booking this property again!!!

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood was quiet and convenient. We’re really grateful for the warm hospitality and understanding during our visit—as a surviving spouse during this particular time of year it made a big difference. This place was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to be in a serene environment and this fit perfectly. The house is super cute, modern and homey. The master bathroom is gorgeous! And the beds were so comfortable! I also loved the game room and the 2 story dock at the lake. Maya was very accommodating and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend to others and I’ll probably be staying again.

This was the perfect place to getaway and relax! The views were amazing, the home was so inviting and comfortable. The bath house is such an amazing place. I am so glad we had the opportunity to stay there. The host worked with me, I needed to change dates last minute and she got back to me right away.

This place was exactly as described! It was so peaceful and fairly isolated at the end of a road. I only stayed for two nights but wish I could have stayed a week. Surrounded by the sounds of nature, with a nice view of the stars and hills.. it was definitely a nice place to get away from the fast pace of the city. And they have everything you need to have a fun and enjoyable stay. The hosts were amazing and I can’t wait to go back!

We loved our stay at the Little Dipper. The house is spacious and comfy - exactly as advertised. It is well-stocked yet neat and clean with no clutter. The screened-in porch is a real gem that connects to a boardwalk leading to a river-view deck. Whether home basing to travel, or tide-watching and kayaking, the Little Dipper's location and setting facilitates a relaxing stay with stunning view day and night. The general location is also super. Urbanna, VA is a quaint little town and you're not far from historic Yorktown or Williamsburg. If you are staying in this vicinity, the Little Dipper is a win. We would stay here again.

This place was amazing and such an awesome find for our trip. Host was super communicative, and the place matched the description. Would have loved to stayed longer. Fun time kayaking, hot tub, fire pit and the place had everything we could imagine. The restaurants were great too

We absolutely LOVED Ken and Diana’s “Cottage!” It was so wonderful to sit on the patio or down by the lake and soak in the wildlife, peace and serenity of the lake and “forest.” I got up early every morning just to listen to the birds and watch the wildlife. We stayed outside until dark just watching the fish jump. Absolutely a little piece of heaven on earth ❤️ I hope we can come back every year!!

This place was amazing! The inside is decorated beautifully and the lake/dock area is perfect for those looking to relax. There are so many cozy areas inside and outside the house to unwind and enjoy the peacefulness. We wish we had more time here to just getaway and we will definitely be coming back in the summer when it is warmer!

We booked this place for our 20th wedding anniversary and because we were looking for some peace and quiet! Rachel and Brahm’s place fit the bill with utv and hiking trails over several acres, and a gorgeous back porch and hot tub. Alas, it rained every single day we were there starting about 10 minutes in to our first utv ride lol. Such is life, and Rachel apologized so much even though obviously she can’t control the weather lol. We just checked out this morning and we’re already discussing booking again. The cabin is so secluded, homey and cozy, and even with the poor weather we were still able to enjoy the covered back deck. Even without the outdoor amenities we had our hearts set on, we still had a wonderfully relaxing stay, and we’re looking for reasons to come stay again. Thank you Rachel!

My family and I had a wonderful long weekend getaway at Veaux Pines. Beautiful house and beachfront with a great vibe and lots to do right on the property. Katy was very responsive and helpful in answering all our questions. We hope to make a return visit!

Hands down one of the best experiences! I’m only halfway through my week-long stay, and I already know this is a place I’ll be returning to. The host truly goes above and beyond—everything is comfortable, well-stocked, and thoughtfully prepared to help you unwind and enjoy every moment. They really put their guests first, and it shows. My partner is visiting from New York, and as a local, it’s been such a joy to share this peaceful, nature-filled escape. It’s also worth mentioning how kind and helpful the maintenance guy has been—super friendly and quick to assist with anything we needed. The entire team clearly cares about creating a great experience. It’s also an LGBTQ-friendly space, which made us feel especially welcomed and safe. Overall, just an amazing getaway—we honestly didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend!

We loved our stay at this cabin! Surprised my fiancé for a birthday weekend and we were so impressed by how intentional Marlena is with her space! We felt super comfy and our dog seemed completely at ease as well. We’d definitely stay again and greatly appreciate how welcoming and communicative Marlena was the entire time. Highly recommend :)

A wonderful place that was better in real-life. Felt like my cortisol was down to zero after about an hour. A few things to note: there are no realy windows/shutters outside of the bedroom, both doors are patio/screen style doors (with locks), and the bathroom requires a very short, shelted walk from the bedroom to the outside. This makes the experience feel more "open" and you're not around very many people, but, I could see how this information would be important to new visitors. Will be back again very soon.

Really enjoyed the visit!

The Cardinal Cabin is where rustic charm meets modern comforts. The cabin was spotless and comfortably furnished, including a well-appointed kitchen. Everything we needed for an enjoyable, stress-free stay was provided. The abundance of birds serenade the morning while the crickets and frogs welcome the evening. A beautiful mother fox and her kits frolicking around the property provided some fun wildlife watching. There are neighbors close by; however, everyone was friendly and respected the sanctity of the peaceful area. Brittany is a wonderful host who provided a wealth of information on the ins-and-outs of the property, things to do in the area and dining options. She made sure we felt right at home. We will definitely stay at Cardinal Cabin in the future!
