Cozy Cabin on Beautiful Grindstone Lake

Cozy cabin on Grindstone Lake with access to Lac Courte Oreilles lake as well. Both are considered pristine for musky and walleye. Sevenwinds Casino and Big Fish Golf Course are minutes away. Downtown Hayward is only 15 minutes. You have access to the community dock and shared frontage to crystal clear Grindstone Lake. The Snowmobile trail runs immediately in front of the cabin. Ice fishing right off our shore produces walleye, crappie and perch. We have a fisherman’s haven just waiting for you!

Although it's a rustic homage to the lumberjacks and jills of yesteryear, this cabin includes many of the comforts we now enjoy including a queen bed, kitchenette with fridge, hot water, AC/heat, a Keurig coffeemaker, smart TV and charcoal grill. The Timberjack is surrounded by trees right on Lake Hayward and close to downtown Hayward. Drive past farm fields, into the woods, and onto our private gravel road, arriving at the driveway. Watch loons, tundra swans, eagles, beavers and deer while you relax by the lake. Enjoy a quiet, relaxing week in the north woods of Hayward, WI! Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin sleeps six comfortably (queen, 2 single beds and a futon). Cabin is two levels and 1500 square ft. The cabin is located on the Namekagon River with direct access to Hayward Lake and the public boat launch just a few hundred feet away. You really get the best of both worlds here as the cabin is tucked away in a private, wooded area but is also walking distance to downtown Hayward and other attractions!!

We feel so fortunate to have found this great cabin! Everything was as expected, and more! Clean, comfortable, and scenic! Our cat enjoyed his (leashed) walks around the cabin and yard, along with watching g all the activities from the windows… ducks, rabbits, chipmunks, and probably more at night! Thanks for sharing this great space and for being cat friendly! We definitely look forward to staying again!!

After 16 years of marriage and raising three very busy children, these four days away were very needed. This cozy cabin in the woods was everything we had hoped for!! The decor, ambiance, quiet! Absolutely loved our time away. We will be recommending this place to our friends and will book again if we come this way! Kayla is a remarkable host!!! Highly highly recommend!!
