Cottage vacation rentals in Forest Lake

We loved our stay! Luke was a very responsive host. The cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we loved having access to a hot tub and sauna. They anticipated anything we would’ve wanted during our stay (coffee, tea, extra towels for the hot tub) and provided clear instructions and recommendations. I would stay here again, and I would recommend this place to others looking to stay somewhere peaceful yet still near everything.

beautiful home to stay in, better than the pictures suggested. very cozy and a great place to relax after exploring Minnesota. the hot tub is a wonderful addition, and I highly recommend walking down and watching the sunrise in the morning.

This cottage is absolutely gorgeous!! It has so much to offer with a beautiful view on the lake, a hot tub, a fire pit area, a beautiful walking trail, and so much more! It was the perfect place to celebrate a bachelorette weekend and so many amazing memories were made here. The host was very helpful and always answered any questions. The house was stocked with lots of cooking supplies and cleaning products that made it easy to stay there. I hope to be able to come back to this cottage in the future because it was the best weekend!!

The home was perfect for our family. Even though the weather was cold and rainy, we enjoyed the fire and hot tub. And we had one brave taker on a fishing trip on the lake with the paddle boat. The kitchen was well-stocked and the beds were comfortable. The home was very clean. We were able to drive a short distance to a state park for a hike, a visit to Stillwater for some cute stores and a beautiful winery on the way. We would definitely stay again

We had 7 girls stay here for a bachelorette weekend getaway and we LOVED it! The house is so full of historic charm while still offering a fully modernized kitchen, bathrooms and entertainment systems. We loved being far enough away from the busy downtown Stillwater scene to enjoy a little sanctuary time, but also being close enough to either drive or walk (about 20 minutes walking) to get downtown to all the fun shops and restaurants of DT Stillwater.

The hosts, Katie and Curt, were very friendly and responsive. The hot tub on the patio was a big bonus. I also enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and watching the trolley go by through the woods ($3 to take the short historic ride). And just a few minutes to walk to Lake Harriet pavilion to take in some live music or walk around the lake. I’m excited to come back sometime for this relaxing get-away!

Nathan’s place was great! It’s walkable to downtown Stillwater, and the home itself is funky and fun. Nathan was a kind and responsive host, and he accommodated our needs well. Definitely worth the stay. Thank you!

A beautiful quiet cabin and lake. The neighbors were very kind and generous, even inviting us over for a neighborhood potluck and Yatzee tournament. My wife couldn’t get over how cute that cabin was and she loved the bed in the master bedroom. Our kids had a great time fishing off the dock. We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone!!

Very cute interior; lots of extra supplies in case we forgot anything. Loved the bathroom!! Quiet; beds were comfortable & nice to have 2 TV’s as my husband & I have different tastes. The only tiny negative is the yard - not really any grassy area for our little dog, but she didn’t mind walking down the block.

Cute little old house. A little bit dusty, but to be expected in an older home. Had a fairly long term stay and the host was responsive to any questions, and very friendly. Located right across the street from a beautiful park, with lots of space to walk our reactive dog without getting too close to other dogs on the walk. The park is very busy on weeknights with different sport events or practices, so there was a bit more traffic and activity at that time, but otherwise a fairly quiet neighborhood. Very comfortable bed on the main floor. The kitchen is very small, so don’t plan on cooking any gourmet meals, but functional nonetheless.

The lake view is beautiful and the house had everything we needed for our stay!

This cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s located on a quiet street yet convenient to shopping. The kitchen and bath are fully stocked and it’s all very clean. We are already planning to come back.

Loved this cabin. Unfortunately, it rained most of the weekend, but while we didn’t get to do what we had envisioned we were still able to catch some rainbow trout on their beautiful grounds and played a multitude of games they had for at the cabin. Sere is super responsive to any needs. Highly recommend all around.

Emily's place is beautiful inside and out. There are so many details she has considered to make the stay easy and comfortable. the linens even smelled great! We enjoyed our girls trip and felt comfortable and had a blast!

The stay was great! Beautiful and spacious kitchen area/living room. Clean rooms and all with a “homey” feel, the only thing was that the water had a smell to it. Other than that everything else was fun especially the lake.

It was a very nice stay, had a little trouble with Wifi but they were very responsive! Gave great recommendations about stuff to do around town.

Very quiet secluded space, close towns with awesome food!

Absolutely fantastic. This house is in a real (and lovely) neighborhood, with real people who live there, which makes the house amazing for visitors. Close to everything, easily accessible, and great communication.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway

Perfect place for a girls weekend. It easily fit five of us comfortably and you could for sure have six. It was very private and it had a lot of walking paths which we took advantage of and even played a bit of basketball. It got a little warm one night and the host very quickly brought us a fan and that was all we needed. It was perfect. Would highly recommend! It’s a great find!!!

Connie's place was exactly what we were looking for: clean, quiet, attractive and conveniently located. My family and I enjoyed the view of the lake and walking the nearby trails. My grandson got a lot of use out of the games and toys. We were able to cook our meals in the fully stocked kitchen. We appreciated the ease of check-in and Connie's responsiveness. Highly recommend!
